What is the goal of this post? To poke the hornets nest, obviously. Or OP is bored. Or looking for some kinda weird double standard gotcha that basically never appears in the real world. That's kinda the whole sub these days tho. Whataboutism and hyperbole.

Right. I'll die on that hill all day every day. A relationship without sex has a name: friendship. Temporary issues notwithstanding, obviously.

Women who make more than men are far more likely to initiate divorce last time I read about it. So they exist, but apparently not commonly in happy marriages with men they are providing for.

It's all just information you can use to form a conclusion on your own. I think the base concepts of "protect yourself, improve yourself" are fairly easy to transpose into whatever theory you think works best for you. Does it work? Yeah, if you have the aptitude and don't go full anger/shutdown/depression mode. Should you listen to the advice and follow it without question? Probably not, you need to find your own path. That's the point though, finding your own path and not crashing into a situat…

Because that conversation never had any legitimate logical criticisms, just a call for silencing. People aren't ready to admit they've been told well-meaning lies most of their early life by people who thought they could wish a better system into place with good vibes. If we can't get past the "what is it" we never get to the point of "so what do we do", which is the goal.

Quality and consistency (with one person is easiest) > quantity in my opinion. Dating around seems like it would be exhausting and maybe physically risky in terms of STIs. I don't think the men that sleep around inherently end up any less happy, if they're that high value they just settle down whenever they want. Life's a bit unfair that way.

Well, also depends how low your standards can go lol. Not to be that guy but most people could theoretically pick the lowest hanging fruit if they had no gag reflex.

This is why you don't get married. Stuff starts to slow down excessively, talk to them about it. If they don't want to change, bail out. Being also locked in by contract makes that a lot harder.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 11:16 PM

Social conditioning/expectations is pretty much the only reason. They get married because "that's just what you do", and they'd end up single if they refused. A lot of people don't realize they have a choice, and specifically a lot of women select against men with this mindset. I'm sure if every woman was 100% willing to be a live-in or live-apart girlfriend, and it was normalized, we would see far more of that instead. The financial contact part is totally unnecessary for the bond between two p…

I was never a believer in the premise, so what follows that is a bit irrelevant. People are going to age in general and their outlook on life is going to change, sometimes for the worse. This is a function of age and past traumas, not a function of childless or childfree. For what it's worth, I wouldn't date a woman with children as a starting point. From there, the most important aspects are kindness, respect, and self-esteem. I draw basically no connection from someone's current circumstances …

LAT or live-apart-together for those interested. Yeah it's expensive. Yeah you have to trust in your SO, and it probably doesn't work with kids. But holy shit your mental state will thank you. It's hard to overstate just how much people need solitude every now and then to stay sane.

I don't know, I think women can still desire it just the same (my SO gets antsy if I don't put out often, it's adorable lol). I think there's just legitimately people in the world with low libido, or self confidence/image, or just bad emotional bonding skills due to trauma. You can't really reason these types out of a position they didn't reason themselves into. The best thing to do with these types is agree to disagree and move on. If they get salty they can't lock down a relationship that's on…

Also OP disregards the idea that it's possible to date down. If your SMV is higher than the person you're dating, you'll probably be able to secure a relationship. You might only be the 75th percentile, but I guarantee you can reduce your standards and smash to your heart's content. That's how bell curves and standard deviation works.

Legitimately the easiest place is work, especially if you have a job that's easily replaced or rotates out often, like restaurants or retail. Don't recommend it if you want to keep your job long term but damn it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Just don't become known as the dude who hits up anyone and everyone, the more time you spend on shift you'll learn quick which ones are down. Besides that I do like hobby groups regardless of what people say, lots of women love coed sports, hiking groups…

I'm not sure I agree with this one, to the extent that she has the right to abort, but he can't force her to. Ergo, he has the right to financially abort until she can no longer abort. There's a reason I got a vasectomy, I think I'll always have the unpopular opinion on this one.

One visit to deadbedrooms and this seems to be the common occurrence, honestly. The "why" is irrelevant, the fact that it happens so often should give everyone a second glance at what they're signing up for. Nothing is eternal, so we should stop placing financial and emotional bets hoping we can beat the odds.

RP/Incel/MGTOW were three different ideas that often get conflated together, usually because the person grouping them either does not understand the difference or believes that they can get all discussion banned in the sphere (guilt by association). What that tells me, if we're going the sniff test route, is the opposition does not actually have a valid argument against TRP or MGTOW. AWALT is a defense measure, not a literal statement. It means be aware of the risk you're taking, because everyon…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 09:40 PM

I find it funny that any of them think an MGTOW/TRP is even able to be identified in real life to pass over for dating. Chances are they date one and fall for him and have no fucking clue because they've reinforced this idea that they know what one looks like in the wild. The smart ones look like every other dude they've ever met and don't talk about this shit in real life. Law 38.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
