Of course. But often they play a confusing game to keep you hooked. I'm a bit smarter than before though at least I think so.

Same. I'm very grateful. This sounds awful what OP is going through.

Best of luck. I think it's a difficult path we all have to walk in finding happiness with someone. Everyone's journey looks different. Peace bro.

Good to hear. Did it get lonely? A lot of people my age just doing casual and saying it's fun. I don't know. I'm not into that. Are you in yr 20s or 30s or older.

We are totally on opposite ends of the spectrum but you seem happy doing the casual thing. And if there weren't girls around willing to do this it wouldn't be possible. Do you ever see yourself in a relationship? It doesn't get lonely? These are the first questions in my mind. I have a buddy doing what you do. He seems good but sometimes gets lonely too. And how old are you? 20s or 30s or older?

It's so sad the games that are played today. Only gets you farther away from true love and finding someone. Many girls and some guys expect all the work to be done by the other. Let's see how much they will do to get me. And there's often a long line. It makes people disposable and ends up with treating people so unkindly. Very sad state of dating.

Agreed. Both sexes should value it and themselves more. I have friends and coworkers suffering from herpes and hepatitis and it's not worth it.

It's not at all a bad thing to be inexperienced. Better than being a fucboy. Wait till you find someone that will be good teaching you the ropes. MILFs are usually in it just for the sex so maybe stay away from them. At least she made her intentions clear.

I don't know why you're getting so many dislikes but I can tell you are a wise person who has put a lot of thought into all this. I think it's great that you have enough self respect and pride at 23 and are not just having sex to have sex. It's a culture of do whatever feels good and I hate that. What feels good often means trashing high standards or morals. Keep being strong and continue working on number 1. I am at 28 a bit lonely sometimes. Came out of a 7 yr relationship. Lived w her. Kinda …

You don't have to worry about explaining yourself or making all your thoughts clear to every commenter. I totally understand your thoughts. They make sense. I think you just have to figure out what you want out of every aspect in life. Figure out what's in your control and work hard on that. There is so much we cannot control. I feel good to be single at 28 after a long term live in gf but sometimes I do wonder if I should get out there more. I'm not planning on sleeping w anyone that's not a re…

I was in a fraternity and orgies were common. My roommate was a college athlete and that alone at a big ten university got him access to the hottest girls. While it does happen a lot depending on what circles you run in personally I think it's gross for both sexes. Rampant diseases stopped no one. And stds were so common. It's stupid. I don't care how hot a girl is. I couldn't be serious with the greatest girl that made a habit of 4 ways etc. It just shows lack of self respect. I was in the mino…

Hey I don't want to see you hurt. It's one thing to be head over heels with someone who has a gf but then the guy is unhappy and feels stuck due to financial reasons living together or is miserable but afraid to end it etc. And on top of that he's NOT a flirt. I was that guy...in that situation and had a crush at work. At the time had a live in gf almost 8 yrs. There was a girl I liked at work but I never flirted. I didn't cross that line. After we broke up the work crush had moved away. But whi…

Man you're a good dude. I have younger sisters and I would be proud to have someone like you date them. You didn't take advantage of a hot willing female and that certainly is rare in this day and age. As for how to act. She's prob embarrassed and should be. Just act like it never happened. Be friendly and nice. Don't bring it up unless she does. And just act like it was nothing. Just say oh don't worry about it.

I love to hear a 23 year old be mature. You definitely think things through. She's lucky. I'm 27 and four years ago I wasn't as well spoken as you. I usually go for girls my age but that hasn't worked out greatly as of late. I only stuck to that cause it is the norm. But like others here say you like what you like. If I found a cute 40 yr old interested in me I'd prob go for it. A lot less drama. And if she wanted a young guy more likely not a gold digger like my ex.

I agree with you 100 percent man. Doing things old school is the best. You have to make an effort and conquer nerves and be brave instead of just hiding behind social anxiety. It's normal to feel nervous. It's like any anxious feelings are always chalked up nowadays to crippling anxiety. Most nervous feelings are normal and human. I never have done dating apps and never will. It's not as genuine. You can't hear the tone of their voice. See their facial expressions. They can't see you. Cold appro…

Same here. They ask me for the truth but really don't want to hear it. The problem is a lot of these male catches have so many options that they don't want to settle down. My sister was with one of these catches awhile back. She held off on sex for 4 months knowing he prob had others. He came after her like crazy. Flowers. Attention. Just lavished her with texts. Calls. Gifts. I think that alone is a red flag at the beginning imo. But once she got physical he ghosted her. So he is one of those g…

My question is if she's so average how does she have all these awesome successful suitors including you. Her personality must be amazing. Also girls often are self destructive. Self jeopardize anything that has to do with a good caring loving guy. They love the bad boys. Ask my little sister.

Hey you're right. It is hard to tell. Mixed signals suck. When she's back just ask her to lunch or coffee and be clear. Do you want to get lunch Wednesday at noon. Time and day laid out. If place decided even better. Like do you want to grab a quick bite to eat Wednesday at noon at red robin? Then her answer will be telling. If she is unclear then let her go. Plenty of other girls that will be excited and happy to go out with you. Good luck.

Hey if you see someone cute just be like hi I'm whomever. Can I get yr number? My buddy is 3 for 4. He gets numbers like crazy. Just an average five foot eight dude but very confident. Maybe if too nervous try to strike up conversations any way possible. Do you know of a good dry cleaning place? Anything to hear her voice (she may sound like a chipmunk lol) and you can tell if she's nice or not somewhat.

I do understand that apps are the thing nowadays. But man...try to do the real life thing as much as possible. It's just more sincere and more likely to work because you can't catfish. You talk in person. Meet in person. All that more likely to build a foundation. That being said...if online, just be casual. Never compliment their looks. My sisters hate that. Just be friendly. Don't talk about sex even jokingly. Say hi. We seem to have similar interests. Ask questions about hobbies. Tell them so…

Don't get down. It's not that great on the other side. When I wasn't single it was filled with years of her never appreciating all I did and expecting too much. All the fake social media posts made it seem like she was thrilled on VD though. Enjoy single hood. I'm much happier and will be on monday.

Maybe they don't think you're creepy but just a player? If you actually feel they are two faced assholes then ditch them and find new frds that won't betray you. Friends who stick together and accept your quirks and flaws and embrace the good.

The longer you wait the chances don't go down. Do you mean some guy might snatch her up before you? Just find a way to talk to her any chance you get! Since you work together I'm sure you ll bump into her in the break room? Parties? Just say hi and then if you see her again start a casual normal conversation. Like how are you. How's work going. Just relax and be chill. I reread it. You talked already. Just wait till you are alone and do it. Or give her yr digits. It's very hard for all of us dud…

I take reddit with a grain of salt. Some are here just to argue or troll and it's such a turn off. Try to weed through haters and just find that one comment that supports and helps you. The only great thing about it is the anonymity. You can ask so many personal questions that are hard to ask your inner circle of friends. I have to admit that there was one time this summer that a comment really opened up my eyes to something I never would have seen that way. In the long run it turned out they we…

A lot sure are. I hate one sided conversations. A lot of even cute girls nowadays are cut from the same cookie cutter. A lot just addicted to sm and buying stuff and complaining about everyone. My last couple of dates all that way. That to me is boring me.

First off I wouldn't let any of this bother you. Girls esp cute ones are on sm for the attention. I have sisters. Trust me. No way she would actually show the world her morning face without having taken several pictures with make up on and different angles. No way. Your compliment is the exact kind of attention she was hoping for. She screenshotted for that reason to show off to friends how gorgeous she is. Don't sweat it. No. Gotta try. Don't overthink. Your gut is usually correct. Don't psych yourself out. Read my comment to your original post. Girls try to avoid eye contact generally unless they think you are attractive to them.

I don't think it's bad at all. I see a lot of posts like this recently. If you read my posts and comments I'm all for it. Exactly. If it's a specific girl. That's the place you see them then no choice. Not like in college where you see them all the time in different places and parties. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Hey man. You got this. They might go for the athletes but usually they are f boys. No matter how hot the girl is once they have her they ll look for the next in line. These girls will get their hearts broken. Some won't care. The ones that do will see that regular guys are the best. Just try talking to any girls for practice. They might have cute frds.

Hey dude. I feel your pain. You are not abnormal at all. I broke up with my 7 year gf and I'm starting to look at my freedom and possible girls. I have a huge crush on someone I work with but I've never talked to her. I can't seem to find my voice. I get so nervous. She has said hi and I ignore her. I'm 27 and wonder what my problem is. She probably thinks there's something wrong w me. I'm totally cool talking to other girls. I'm in the same boat. I also think about her and what it would be like…
