Because it's not a TV show where you can use the insanity defense and it just works. Courts have an extremely high standard for that road, so much so that many insane people just end up in regular prison or death row.

The only thing I objected to was you called your joke that equated being pretty with being rapeable. To your credit I did use more than a few 3-syllable words and I didn't explicitly say that she deserved to go to prison as long as the falsely accused - so I can understand your misunderstanding.
