Often people say that everything you do can be a hobby, even shopping or parroting others for likes. Of course there is no strict definition, but my main distinguisher is creativity. That’s what separates, say, entertainment from hobby.

STEM doesn’t care about your feelings. Doesn’t matter how long you cry or gossip with somebody the force will be the same, software will run the same way and steel will have the same properties.

Lol, look its not even “he forbids me to”, “he get angry when”, “he forces me to”. It’s just having an opinion.

I have over 10 years in IT and I meet two and only two types of women there. Extremely good and extremely bad. Some really good, passionate and frankly, better than me and just other guys. And some bottom feeders, usually trying to skimp asking everyone around to do their job for them. Never anything in between, not a single average one.

Ahahahha, i have very similar story about my happy to be ex fiancé. Camping. She wants to go camping and sleep in a tent and hike an so on. She bought expensive sleeping bag, new special warm yoga pants, tons of other stuff, some YouTube recommended camp stove. And of course - oh this sleeping pad is not as comfortable as bed at home. It’s cold! There was a little drizzle. What do you mean we can’t just leave food out? Hike is 6h and uphill? Wait, she thought it was a walk in a park. Never again…

but cannot retrieve concrete evidence of you owning crypto. Thats not how courts work, especially in family cases like this. They are free to rule what they think, and if they are convinced enough they will just order you to pay, regardless of reality.

Because it takes years of learning to make meaningful contribution to any software. It takes one woke idiot to make contributions about being offended.

extra 40-120 bucks a month in gas. Trucks uses that much fuel per day. And they also pay more. And trucks hauls 70% of US cargo. This makes nearly everything more expensive

I guess there is some dose of reciprocity here. Asians apparently are racists af, against other races and their own from different regions etc - I even asked this on mainstream reddit and people confirmed. I’m of course not saying it’s valid reasons, just another perspective

The old saying goes that everyone can build a bridge that stands, but only engineers can build one that barely stands. Now what does it say when you can’t even make it stand

You say this only because you were born with privilege of having two hands and being thought how to read and write! You achieved nothing you just were born into everything! /s just in case

Oh, my field. I’ve been through slightly similar situation, it was years ago and company wants that woke (then). I was reviewing code and was, well, honest. The women were objectively doing worse job so there were more comments. Of course there was complains and I had to speak with my fairly embarrassed manager. I remember how they asked people from another department to evaluate the same code anonymously and turned out I was right. Wanna bet if I heard single sorry? My advice I try to follow - …

It’s not a new thing. Peter Pan syndrome has been used for decades to described males who didn’t take the responsibility, as it’s something wrong.

I don’t see the point of working if I am going to get money to do nothing. The silent part here is this $2000 will be worth what $200 is now or even less very soon. In Japan everyone is a millionaire.

I heard and seen similar stories. I’m especially sad for all your coworkers who will now be either forced or intimidated into working extra hard to cover for the clowns.

The past must be erased. You must be detached from your roots, even if those root are some stupid cartoon. Look at US society where everyone is about their root, country their family comes from. It unites similar background but also unites people on the fact of having a history. We can’t have that.

Its a Real job when women sells her body on onlyfans but if she does it in a ring or on f1 tracks, ohhh now that’s sexist

Two things - 0.4% is quite a difference if we talk about field where typical returns are 4% or so. It’s like 10% difference. However I think the reason is simple - average women don’t go into investing, so ones who do are top of their group.

Claim onlyfans is legitimate work, get offended if asked for a service in their area of specialisation. Can you imagine a plumber offended if you him about price of fitting a pipe?

On of my “hobbies” is to look for new “content-promoters” here on Reddit, posting their OF and what now and slowly seeing how they try harder and harder, until it really stops.

As an engineer I can tell you that engineering is easy. Easy as, if you know what you have and what you want to have, there usually is engineering process, repeatable one, to achieve the result. Everyone, to a certain degree, can follow the same process, instructions etc and repeat what most engineers do. Than, it takes a bit of creativity to be know what kind of outcome you want to have. Making any tune nowadays is easy. Knowing which one to make, ah, that takes some skill.

Not directly from those countries, but still have strong family ties to their neighbours. Woman soak leftist propaganda like a good dry sponge now. Our language is gendered and most profession names are masculine and women are so butthurt about it, twist the language for female versions (hard to explain, think about something like pushing latinx). Not sure about Russian or Ukraine but west from there the train has left the station already.

If you say there is a wage gap between surgeons and office clerks people say it’s normal. When you say there is a wage vape between people on Manhattan and some rural village, nobody has a problem understanding. If you say that some people working in office make much more than surgeons of course people knows. And nobody has a problem to acknowledge that people from rural areas can outearn certain population of Manhattan dwellers. Yet you put women into this and suddenly is a patriarchy and “unbe…

Wasn’t there some famous feminist who said that women cannot be given free choice to stay at home/have family because some will choose this?

Its like this is few countries in Europe. You read about outraged “mothers” crying for help as they are “left without the money” after fathers got angry and just spend on the kid directly. Lots of stories about mothers throwing stuff fathers buys etc.

Women are not passive inactive dolls with a singular ability to say „yes please” or „no thanks” Women are people, active, capable, self actualising and so on. The correct concept to address this issue is „voluntary participation” It’s funny how feminists and other similar groups tell us and women that they are subjected to sex, an accessory. I wonder why they can’t imagine that women can simply enjoy and fully participate?

And that’s only talking about physical abuse. Mental problems of men is at best a good joke for society

That’s because it’s a consensus, quite rightly so, that “woman’s body = woman’s choice”. But suddenly it doesn’t work for men, and their body can be used by military. And their property which they make by working their body, oh that’s a whole different story right?

If SHE gets another partner, HIS INCOME does not count towards HER net household income. Even nicer hey? How exactly is this possible? I mean does the law specifically says that if a women gets partner it doesn’t count? I ask because I cannot believe it

Compared to other examples given this one is actually pretty good to make cash. Incredible amount of women find themselves and their cats and dog in a need of such services. And it’s nothing compared to vet, no certification and exams.

Same as nearby countries - Slovakia, Poland and Hungary - horrible mix of still prevailing catholics obscurity and self-blaming with western openness culture. Girl shamed to ever talk about their own sexuality suddenly exposed to a world when it can easily get you everything.
