Yeah i mean, it's basically - be emotionally well adjusted or gtfo. It's good to at least understand this is the case. It takes away a lot of the need to wallow for me. Understanding it mechanically or the technicality of it makes me feel less like there's something obscurely wrong with me. Very few people would have a healthy dating life after a certain cocktail of bad experiences. I also have hung out more with alcoholics or generally dim witted Women than others. I'm one of those apathetic dudes who could get ladies technically but "doesn't try". It bugs me when people pin this down to laziness or low motivation or something similar. A lot of cases such as mine are due to things like ptsd, early bereavement, broken family, addiction and negative life experiences that fill us with cynicism and dark thoughts we tried to avoid.
