I really do think she genuinely wanted to hang with me 99.9% of the time it won't lead to anything but the friendzone and you just end up being the gay friend. This is how you avoid the friendzone. Not accepting it and hoping something will change when 99.9% of the time it won't, but being clear that you're interested romantically and they can come back to you if they miss you.
