This is my favorite post that I’ve read in a very long time, nicely done. Run for office sometime bud, thanks!

Ahh, and there it is. Look at how you’re incapable of discarding these ridiculous labels and toxic mindsets. Odd how you want to accuse her, and all of the other women in my life who are happy and DON’T think like you do of these nasty terms. Calling someone a “pickmeisha” because you don’t like what they think DESPITE their personal happiness is pretty messed up. Again, if there’s one thing that these women all have in common it’s that they don’t subscribe to this bullshit. They’re happy - and …

Well it’s a great thing that we’re not dating, isn’t it? She firmly believes feminism is a cancer and makes women unhappy. Again, in line with the rest of the women in my life with happy and successful marriages - none of them are feminists.

You’re jumping to conclusions without even knowing the full story, I’m not sure why you’re comfortable doing that - or why you seem to be seeking some “gotcha” here. My girl and I bonded over the fact that we both haven’t dated or been with anyone for years. We especially bonded over our disgust for this dating culture, the apps, and feminism. That’s called a learning experience, and considering that pretty much everyone will give a dating app a shot at some point in their life - that’s a pretty…

Pretty close minded way to look at my thoughts, and nowhere did I claim to be above anything. My statement was in regards to the women in my life that have successful relationships. Like most people, I came along reading this stuff after seeing how terrible dating apps are and the difficulty of meeting a good person. I’m still subbed here, and once in awhile something from here shows up. It’s a great reminder of how terrible this is. I do get to decide that I’m a HVM, as I surpass the “list of r…

I agree, the topic is interesting for a multitude of reasons. That’s not usually the case here. My 3 younger sisters are happily married to their long term boyfriends, and I have a good number of friends in happy long term relationships and new marriages (we’re all around 30). If there is any similarity between all of them, it’s that none of this exists. They also use little social media, no attention seeking posts - they aren’t looking for external approval as its not needed. I do not know a si…

I’m a “HVM” and recently proudly committed to absolute human gold of a woman who I met in real life. She’s a straight up 10 inside & out. She has never read or participated in any of this dating garbage, and I wish that I hadn’t either. All I can say is that I understand the frustration people have about dating currently, I went through it for years. This shit simply doesn’t exist when a relationship is actually mutual and good. I feel like a fool for the time I’ve spent reading this bullshit an…

Nobody wants to work with women in a professional environment anymore, thanks to feminism and me too. This isn’t surprising, people as individuals all of the way up to HR managers are sick of this shit.

God speed to this lad - he’s learning the lessons at a great age to still set himself up for a great and happy future. The post itself is bad, but I read the entire thing and he concedes to the truth in the final edit. Props to this guy- better days are ahead

Even the commercials, the guy is typically portrayed as some dumb / useless / submissive moron.

Late to comment here, but it’s interesting that you point this out. When the subject of male profile pictures comes up on Reddit, women always stress how important the perfect set of profile photos is for men. No selfies, doing something, a long list of requirements. It’s the same lack of effort that gets put into engaging in conversations. Lazy and hypocritical all around.

Cucks - no, Simps - sure. We need to empathize, educate and guide my man. There’s a lot of un-programming to be done. Taking the time to write a few sentences could save a guy from ruining his life literally

There has never been a point in time that as Westerners has life ever been easier. Not even Kings & Queens of the past had luxuries and things that we do. Every single thing you’ve written is 100% an excuse. “Oh, Jamba Juice makes you fat, guess I can’t go to the grocery store, get some spinach and frozen berries and toss it into a blender myself”. There is no excuse, and the obesity rate for women is alarming to put it mildly.

Lmao what the fuck did you just write? Yeah - let’s take the “energy and time” of a natural biological process and instinct to do “something actually worthy” - whatever that means. CMV: You’re an idiot

I’d be interested in hearing stories about that, from both sides. Is it a breakup to go to school, someone go down a bad path - what led to the decision? I’ll always miss how those relationships were, and breaking up definitely isn’t always an easy decision.

Evil / a bad person? Absolutely not. Unattractive, untrustworthy, low IQ & gross - yes.

I work for the Postal Service, and in many departments men & women both work an incredible amount of hours. We spend more time doing what we do than anything else, but men and women are truly equals here. Everyone works very hard.

I’m 31 and I’ve had my group of best guy friends since childhood. We openly and shamelessly have always hugged each other and tell each other that we love each other on an almost daily basis.

This is sad. In a way, she was lied to in a similar way that we were. She didn’t actually want to be a “tough career woman”, she wanted to be an educated “strong mother”. The latter being much more attractive - and the only people attaching negativity to that are other women. She probably would have been a great mother as a statement like this is truly genuine. She was lied to.

I think one of the most frustrating things is that there is no ability to question this, or raise the issue. There is no “Reddit Customer Support” or anybody at all that is able to, or willing to offer an explanation. It’s beyond evident that this isn’t a hate sub remotely - yet those others are just peachy? I’d love actual communication about the decision, but we know that won’t happen.

I followed this conversation and I agree “wyd” is pretty damn low effort and low IQ. It’s just dumb, and I’d say it in a joking way after developing a relationship and know she has a sense of humor. That said - I have my doubts about how often this happens in comparison to the absolute piss poor effort that the majority of women seem to put into anything regarding dating at all. Most dating profiles can’t be bothered to write a sentence, or more than their Instagram handle. Women said they were …

You’re seeking what in the past would be considered a regular, normal and average woman. The majority of women are so overweight / obese that what used to be “average” is a rarity. This causes an extreme lack in women that are attractive to an equally average / normal male.

Yes...it is? I don’t see how that’s up for debate. What kinda sexist shit is “yOuR tHe MaN” lmao. Women wanted Bumble so they could message first. Now they want the opposite. Imagine my shock

I do this until I’m certain that she’s mutually interested, and I prefer talking and texting for awhile before meeting. I don’t need to see someone to know if I’m interested or not. Good chemistry is evident even over texting. Ignoring “rules” about texting too much, replying too soon and just enjoying the chat is very nice. Why not initiate the move yourself and allow him to know that it’s ok to move forward? Are you helping to plan a date or just expecting to be wowed? It’s probably necessary …

This is a “you” problem, and your projecting your experience with the expectation that it applies to everyone else. That’s absolutely moronic, and shows an astounding lack of basic critical thinking. I’d be happy to show you support and empathy, but it’s evident that you’re just a shitty person. Good luck out there - you’ll need it.

I just have to say, having read this entire exchange - you’re the problem. You’re a miserable, angry and pathetic person who’s projecting her own failings and insecurities as if speaking for everyone else. Normally I’d be less blunt, but you can just walk into traffic. Not only are you clearly insane, there is no intelligent and self respecting man that would give someone with such an abysmal personality such as yourself a second thought. Good luck - you need it.

Wow - I wasn’t familiar with this sub. I don’t care what any of these women look like, they’re terrible people. These threads and comments are disgusting, and I want to give the benefit of the doubt that this is the frustrated fringe group of unattractive / insufferable females who are seeking companionship and validation in their utter misery. Just - wow. Imagine being so nasty, manipulative and full of yourself thinking of how much better you are than men and laughing at our expendability and …

Furthermore, has anyone noticed how this mentality / thought process / way of speaking has become mainstream? Trash urban culture and speech is a standard meme format now, and along with that came the utter lack of respect and values.

Sure reminds me of it, what a fucking mess I haven’t dated since. It took me almost a year to figure out she had BPD. I had never heard of it let alone experienced someone with it. Only after Googling endlessly as to what the fuck her problem was because it was so insane did I realize. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone

I’m a white guy that works with about 100+ black men & women daily, often for 12+ hours after overtime. I’m glad to see this here as I have a lot to say about this. I don’t think it’s easy to notice certain specifics unless you’re in the middle of the culture most of your days. This post doesn’t take anything away from us men as a collective, but there are specifics for the black community that ARE different - therefore it’s only helpful to discuss. I’ll try to keep it simple and brief. Almost e…

You seem very well versed in these communities and terminology, I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. I’m a 31 year old guy with my shit together, pretty good looks, respected at work and a massive personality. Life is great, but I do wish I could find someone to share it with. I agree with the top comment about how this is how guys not only sometimes talk to each other, but NEED to be like this. The offense and judgements that you’re jumping to about this are simply inaccurate. Thanks to the inte…

Right on, good for you guys! My little sister is getting married next month and I couldn’t be happier. They’ve been together for 10 years and absolutely struggled and suffered together in order to get them both through med school. I’m glad that she doesn’t have to face the trouble that I’m encountering, but it does give me some hope. At the same time as much as I love my brother in law like an actual brother, the dudes a 10 across the board. His nickname in high school was “Mr. Perfect”. I reall…

This attitude is why this happened. You can be assertive without being an asshole. It’s something you will learn, I promise. The good news is that it doesn’t require you giving up the kind soul that I can tell you have. Treat this as a learning experience, and carefully navigating the “black vs white” nonsense in the workplace & elsewhere is going to be an essential skill going forward.

You have a wife, may I ask how old you are? How long you’ve been away from dating? It’s much different now, even than it was less than 10 years ago. A woman working together with you, sacrificing together and not looking for a better option is just completely unheard of today. You need to have everything together, always be perfect and have the looks to go with it. There’s no struggling along together anymore, but even though I think that helps build a great relationship.

Perhaps that is normal, but it’s not something I’ve thought about or spoken with any others about their experiences. I know I’m not “ugly”, and have high self confidence, but we’re sure not at a 9/10 over here. I would consider myself above average, but to your point, it’s still “average” when lined up next to a 9/10.

Her snuggling up to you is the initiation. Are the reactions to where you place your hands and what you do negative, or positive? At this point it really only goes strongly in one direction or the other. Usually this is the green light for basic intimacy. What is initiation according to you? Also in this situation, you’re going to need to decide if you want to pursue a genuine relationship or not. Having sex with multiple partners is fun when you’re a teenager / early college, but you look like …
