Sometimes true, not in my case. I always order the "if you eat all this you get an award" item on the menu and have a bunch of certificates for it. I can eat people under the table, I just can't get fat.

oh, I just read that as an exaggeration/he hasn't truly tried. Like, I have to eat a load to go to the gym and before I was going out of my way to do so, I never would've considered eating such a vast quantity of food. Probably he can eat a big breakfast, a big lunch, a big dinner with mostly carbs and it'll just go right through him so he equates that to "no matter how much I eat", rather than thinking to eat 5 meals a day and properly controlling protein etc.

You're arguing in bad faith by using alarmist language like "serious issue" and "super high" to paint is as a black and white issue, like it's some binary choice of "either you have a normal metabolism or you have a terrible genetic disease". There is a scale to this, you can metabolise faster without it being a life threatening illness. That's not denying "basic physics", nor is it related to anything taught in a lecture hall of a physics department.

citation required plenty of papers support metabolic rate. How would you explain weight gain with old age?

I have a bsc in physics and I assure you I had no modules on "how much energy does your body absorb". It's only "physics" to the extent that biology is applied chemistry and chemistry is applied physics, it's like claiming a stock market crash is physics because it happens in the physical universe. I think you seem to think "not processing energy" somehow constitutes breaking conservation of energy, probably because you're morally outraged and invested in the "fat people eat too much argument" a…

Your cholesterol can sneak up on you though. It is true we have a way higher tolerance for eating absolute bullshit, but that just means you're more likely to shovel a bunch of shit in your body that's terrible for you and never think about it. I would prefer to be skinny than obese but as I work out I would prefer to be mildly overweight than mildly underweight, I could burn that off without too much effort vs now.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/07/19 04:07 PM

Yeah it is possible but it's expensive and difficult to each so much, and then you have to keep eating ludicrously on your down time to maintain anything you've gained.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/07/19 04:04 PM

I do work out, I do barbell row/deadlifts/squats/bench/overheads at the gym three times a week, but I have to stuff my face constantly to make and maintain any gains. Feel indigested all the time, and on top of that, eating makes me feel tired, I can't concentrate properly for at least an hour after a large meal.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/07/19 04:02 PM

That's literally what metabolism is. ectomorphs have to consume far more calories to put on the same weight. This has nothing to do with physics lol, energy is still conserved even if you shit it all out again without absorbing it. Did you miss like 50 years worth of biology?

Yeah that's the other thing, no one takes you seriously on the opposite side of the aisle like "ohhh boooo hooo you disgust yourself in the mirror and feel self conscious every time you sleep with a new partner and hate to go outside wearing normal clothes and have to spend ridiculously amounts of money on food and spend all day eating to get any benefit from the gym". I sympathise with being overweight but there is no reverse sympathy

Being skinny is great until summer when you feel like some skeletal monstrosity in a t shirt. Skinny looks good with 3 layers of clothing but having to eat 5 times a day to put on any weight is pretty demoralising.

Nah I never said glossed over, I said: I also personally find it reasonable to keep using insults to someone who opened with an insult as long as they aren't responding to your main argument. Like, you can't force someone to address your point he didn't open with an insult, he responded to your main argument and he addressed your point. If he had instead said "nah fuck you globehead it's the aliens that did it" then yes, call him a /x/phile astromoron, but he gave an argument to your point that …

Your point: "I signed to raise awareness in case someone who is able to deport her catches wind of this" His point: "She's already been through court, they have already examined it in great detail, any minor dumb thing she said on a stream is incredibly unlikely to be admissible in court, let alone outweigh all the large amount of evidence they'd have to provide for her to get married in the first place" (aka completely addressed your point) You: you are an sjw (inaccurate and ad hominem) me: he…

yeah you can, this isn't a debate forum, it's reddit, if I see someone using ad hominem the first thing I do is jump in and call them a cunt lol. it's a form of reductio ad absurdum anyway to use someone's flawed fallacy against them to make a point. I also personally find it reasonable to keep using insults so someone who opened with an insult as long as they aren't responding to your main argument. Yeah I dropped the ad hominems when I realised that you don't even think that you made an ad hominem lol. If you don't think it is perjorative by definition, we fundamentally disagree and so there's no point continuing, you already got my point.

lol, sjw is literally an ad hominem, I wouldn't have even posted if you hadn't said that. The implication is that he's obscenely progressive to the point of stupidity. But that makes absolutely no sense given the context of his post - his post wasn't even political, it was a straight up unopinionated write up of the situation.

Do you know what projection is, moron lol. you first line of your first post Having fun being a SJW? your first line of your second post Before you start throwing names like a teenager you are literally throwing names around, and given that only small children and autists use "sjw", glass houses.

throwing names like a teenager lol, you literally were throwing around "sjw" before I even got here, now you're crying because someone else calls you dumb? rofl. Was the other guy's comment too difficult for you to follow? She's already been through a rigorous court process. she "confessed", aka idiomatically understated a 3 year situation for a joke on a stream. That's called litotes, not a confession, genius. I never even said "she didn't do it", I said, "you are literally name calling someone…

"Innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt? What are you, some kind of SJW?" lol this sub is concerned every day with the unfairness of women dragging men through court on shaky allegations, a right to a fair trial instead of mob justice isn't "SJWism" dumbass, it's literally called justice.

Really depends on subject. 6 years ago when I was doing A levels, there were no girls in my maths, further maths or chemistry classes and only one girl in my physics class. At uni studying physics, 20% of the yeargroup were girls. If he is in STEM, he's probably not getting anywhere close to 50%. And just because he sits near a girl at some point doesn't mean he talks to and empathises with them. My ex is a 3d modeller, all her mates were game arts students at college, majority of them were girl…

Hi, can I just say that I was the motorcyclist in the accident in question. I'd just like to clear a few things up. I noticed a car veering a little as it was driving, so I decelerated. Upon reaching the lights I noticed the woman driving was texting on her phone. Merely the act of shaking my head at her caused her to lower her window and say something scathing, to which I replied, "Do you think it's right to text and drive when you have young children in the car?" At this point she was turning …

No way to verify, but I mean, mentioning a specific police constable from Swinton Greater Manchester Police is pretty fucking specific and I can't see why anyone would go and make this up. I'm a Manc as well and he writes like a Mancunian to my eye.

It's because they're PEdestrian LIght Controlled. Likewise we have Toucan crossings (because bicycles and pedestrians are allowed on it. As in, "two can" cross), puffin crossings (Pedestrian User Friendly Intelligent crossings), Pegasus (for horses) and Zebra (because the road is black and white stripey).

When it says she got suspended for a year, I'm pretty sure that means she's DVLA disqualified for a year, therefore her license is taken away for 12 months and she'll have to reapply, that's how it normally works. She also got 10 points, so she'll get another 2 years if she gets 2 more points.

He stopped for a pelican crossing. She was angrily tailgating him and couldn't stop in time when he suddenly stopped, but that isn't attempted murder. However assaulting someone you crashed into, destroying their property, hitting and running and (as the guy pointed out in the first place), texting while driving with kids in the car are all deplorable.

The motorcyclist replied in the comments too if anyone wants to see that: Hi can I just say I was the motorcyclist in this accident that happened. More like, "They're not doing it". Full stop. I looked through every twitter account in that article. Only one of them is older than 3 days (and those ones posted about the piss and that's it), and the only one that isn't is the one that created the hashtag, and their favourites on twitter are full of "lol they fell 4 it loool". 4chan convinced each other to pretend to be feminists pissing themselves, and then fell for each other's posts. Deeeeerp.

Literally all of these are troll accounts if you read their content. I mean, just look at the shit they're favouriting. People forget you can see that. This is fucking retarded lol. "GUYS HERE'S THE PLAN, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE FAKE ACCOUNTS AND THEN TRICK FEMINISTS INTO PISSING THEMSELVES" *sees other fake accounts posting* "OH SHIT IT'S WORKING LOL" Literally trolled themselves.

Wow, good argument. I got your point, don't flatter yourself, your argument is a dumb statement based on a logical fallacy not some ingenious point no one could possibly comprehend. I understand why you think it's a good point, I also understand why it isn't a good point.

I'm not saying anything malicious, I'm telling you how you sound because it detracts from your point. Your post has downvotes and it's not because your point is wrong, it's because you say stuff like "mass hallucination" 3 times in one post. Ignore me if you want but it really makes your point sound daft.

Right, but we all agree that it's polite not to eat with your mouth open because most people agree it's a pretty good system of not grossing other people out. BUT IF IT TURNS OUT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WANT TO EAT WITH THEIR MOUTH OPEN, THE IDEA OF POLITENESS CAN BE REVOKED BY POPULAR DEMAND. GOOD MANNERS ARE A MASS HALLUCINATION. Fucking everything humans live by is an agreed construct. Base 10 maths is a construct, we could change to base-16 by popular demand. If your argument for something no…

Thanks for googling "hallucination" for me, I totally had no idea what it meant. In what way are we agreeing to a "false notion" that we can work to acquire money and then spend money on goods and services? That literally happens all the time. Just because you don't think it happens entirely fairly doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Who is hallucinating? No one is pretending their money represents some tangible piece of gold somewhere anymore, or that the system isn't broken. We agree that money can be exchanged for goods and services. That isn't a hallucation, it literally can. Here, I'll go out and do it if you don't trust me on that one. You can say that people are deluded in thinking money is a safe medium of exchange rather than a volatile means of extracting tribute. You can say that some people think money is a measu…

I hate some people's use of the word "ignorant". I'm "ignorant" if I'm blissfully unaware of something. If I accidentally offend you because I was unaware of your situation or culture, I'm ignorant. But if you think I'm being rude, and I know that I hurt your feelings, or I intended to be rude, that isn't ignorant. That's just rude. He knew you were there. He isn't "ignorant" to your presence or to your existence or your desires, he knows exactly what you wanted, he just chose to ignore you. Tha…

It seriously appears to you like that on absolutely no basis. We haven't seen the texts so we don't know the story. You're assuming she's guilty without seeing the texts and judging her actions based on that. If you assume she's innocent and then look at it, you instead see the story of a girl who told someone something they didn't mean as a way of getting them to stop being dramatic, and it blew up in their face as that person took their own life, and they immediately tried to make amends for t…

My friends and I say "kill yourself" all the time completely unseriously. I've known complete drama queens to be like "Ohh, life sucks so much, I'm going to kill themselves" knowing in a million years they'd never do that. If that guy was just some regular attention whore who one day was like "yeah I'm killing myself, I'm sitting in a van" and I thought "riiiiiight", there's a good chance I'd be like "cool story, you do that". Especially the "I'm getting out of the van" sounds really like "lol I…
