Probably not. I'm still an undergrad in college (I have a grand-niece because of huge age-gaps in my family) and am going to grad school. I also live in a whole different region of the country. I wouldn't be available more than occasionally.

There are a few such occasions, like if your wife physical attacks you, throws shit at you, etc. I have two relatives (married couple), and one time when they were still fairly recently married, the wife threw a pan or something like that at the husband. He picked it right up and flung it right back at her. They're still together, better than ever. That taught her that he would treat her on the same level she treated him, and she respected that.

Reading all the posts here has had me been thinking about my family, because we have a kind of weird arrangement. My Pa is much older than my Mom, and he's already retired, so for most of my life, he hasn't worked. She ended up getting a job later. He cooks breakfast (which is mostly for her benefit, he doesn't need to get up early), she cooks dinner and if anybody cooks lunch for the other, it's her cooking it for him. He does the dishes because he's too anal to let anybody else do it. They bot…

I have a grand-niece who's being raised by her grandparents because her mother and father are degenerates. Except the twist is that the grandpa is going to die any day now from cancer. Kills me to think about how that's going to screw with her growing up.
