SJW took over /r/punchablefaces. The only people you can post now are boxers or martial artists who consent to having their faces punched. I'm not joking.

I also noticed the scenes you mentioned. I don't know if they represent explicit anti-male bias, though. Those quotes represent the views of Jessica and Trish, and neither of them are portrayed as being sound, healthy adults. In fact, both of them are deeply flawed and wouldn't make good role models for anyone. There were plenty of other examples of female characters with negative qualities: The woman sleeping with Luke Cage was an adulterer. Trish's mom was a narcissist who emotionally abused h…

They're all botched jobs. Sure, some can be more harmful then others, but all of them do harm and are irreversible.

By that logic, if a man finds circumcised vulvas more aesthetically pleasing, that makes female circumcision perfectly fine.
/r/MensRights27/09/15 11:24 AM

Hopefully she's your ex-girlfriend now.

I have a feeling that maybe that 15 year old was unhappy about having 2 dads and made up a terrible story to lash out at them. In either case, I hope the truth comes out.

If someone's dad was missing a finger, should the son have that same finger removed so the two can be more alike? Not being an ass, I just legitimately don't understand this line of thinking, along with a lot of other pro a circus vision arguments.
/r/MensRights22/04/15 01:33 AM

Right, and that's great that you don't feel bad. Who wants another person to feel bad? But you didn't acknowledge my point: what about the rest of us that don't feel the same way? Why do your feelings trump someone else's?

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for devolving this conversation to name calling, and failing to explain why my argument is a fallacy. it's great that we got to this point, when I was just trying to explain my point of view, and give you an opportunity to defend and expand upon yours. Also, I will continue to speak about his circumcision issue, and stand up for myself, and for the rights of others that are being subjected to an irreversible surgical procedure that has little to no medical benefit…

OK, so you don't like that analogy. Then let's make it something directly related to something in our world. There are cultures in Africa and Asia that modify their body by stretching out their necks using a stack of rings or hoops. Elongated necks are seen as beautiful, so they start this process while a girl is young. If a woman is happy with their slender, graceful neck, then that means it's perfectly moral to make that choice for other children, right? And if someone from these tribes immigr…

I'm not some raving maniac that snaps at anyone who feels differently than I do. But when people say what you said, the implication is that since you don't mind, that makes it OK. I think that's a horrible justification and think it deserves being pointed out.

Thank you for this post. Its perfect.
/r/MensRights21/04/15 11:59 PM

So women that are OK with their circumcision, and they do exist, mean that female circumcision is a-ok, right?
/r/MensRights21/04/15 11:50 PM

And for those of us that aren't OK with it? We should just get over it because NaggerPie doesn't mind that someone surgically removed part of his genitals before he was able to comprehend or give consent to such a procedure?

But what if it did? What if there is sexual pleasure that you've never experienced, and don't know any better? Or what if the trauma caused, even if not remembered, impacted how you developed emotional bonds as a child? Or how you reacted to other pain stimuli? Not to mention, the excuse that its OK to harm someone as long as they don't remember doesn't hold up. Is it OK to rape someone, as long as they were unconscious and can't remember? What about murder? A dead person can't remember anything…

Not everyone feels that way. Some of us are unhappy with what was done to us, and have had our sexual ability harmed or hindered. The fact that you're OK with it doesn't mean it was OK to do in the first place, or that its OK to continue to do it to babies before they're able to give consent.
/r/MensRights21/04/15 11:41 PM

If parents cut off a baby's ears and then that child grew up, enjoyed the way their ears were and were thankful that it had been done, would that make it OK?

I'm sure there are codes against that. You don't want someone pulling a fake fire alarm when there's an actual fire.

There is justice when one understands that the stigma, confusion and social pressure that accompany sexual violence give victims no incentive to falsely report (or report, period) If they were falsely reporting, they wouldn't be victims.

I don't think Sotomayor is someone that we should be linking to or giving any credibility in this subreddit. His main message is that black women are disgusting animals. That's definitely someone we don't want to be associated with. My 2 cents.

That's, sadly, probably the only way anything will change. Worker safety wasn't an issue in the manufacturing industry until women started working in factories during WWII. People are unmoved to right wrongs when the victims are men.

You didn't say anything malicious or untrue, simply a sad reality backed by statistics. The sorts of responses you received weren't from people being objective, they were being emotional. People "thinking" with their emotions is what leads to right wing conservatism or left wing liberalism, neither of which aligns with reality, or values men very much.

I know, right? I had to stop reading after that. Before the feminism seeped into every aspect of the comic, the author never really seemed side with any particular group. I liked how neutral it was. I wonder if the author got some sort of feminist girlfriend and was indoctrinated?

If these women have a problem with their elected official, then I support their right to peacefully protest. But ripping your clothes off and trying to jump over a barricade while screaming is anything but peaceful.

Men a hundred years ago also had a lot more authority in their family. They earned this authority because they were required to make greater sacrifices for the welfare of their family.

I agree this is probably for the best. I had an exchange with a feminist in another subreddit, and asked /r/MensRights for their feedback on how I handled the situation. Nobody responded to my request, but I noticed that the feminists comments that I had linked to were heavily downvoted, while mine were upvoted. That wasn't my intention. In fact, I had originally upvoted the feminist user's comments, not because I agreed with her, but because she was willing to speak with me in a polite manner. …

I agree. But do you think I did any better? I feel like I countered their logic fairly well, but I didn't back it up with any real evidence of my own. I just feel that the MRM is wildly misrepresented, and don't want to do anything that would contribute to that.

I have some thoughts on that.

I think it makes some sense. Though I disagree that Feminism holds men in a higher regard. Feminism may advocate for laws that are biased against men, but who puts those laws on the books? Male politicians. Who enforces these laws? A police force comprised mostly of men. Women are thriving in today's economy compared to men, partly because the industries that men excelled at, construction and manufacturing, have been outsourced by rich men, whose only concern is the bottom line. It's these same …

You know the number of male victims has to be higher than that. I imagine very few of them would report the attacks against them out of fear of looking weak or gay.

I agree, what is happening to those women is terrible. But what about the men? What would happen to a man if he encountered soldiers from a warring tribe/faction? Don't you think he'd most likely be tortured, possibly raped, and then killed? That's far worse than rape alone.

Girls are allowed to be friends with guys without wanting to bang them. The reverse is also true. In response to OP, you should just take longer and longer to respond to each text. Conversation will become so inefficient that she'll probably lose interest. It's better than just not answering her altogether, because that would just be rude, and she could confront you about it.

Places where female strippers perform are so seedy because male sexuality is considered "dirty". If it were acceptable for the average man to watch female strippers, just as it's acceptable for a woman to watch the Chippendale's dancers, the mood and clientele in such places might change.

Feminist just means I believe in gender equality, like most modern people who live in 2012 and not the 1900s. Lot’s of people get scared by the word “feminist” like it means woman-power-only or something, but it really just means gender equality don’t worry about it mkaayy And then, when someone asks what problems she thinks women are facing today that necessitate feminism, she refuses to respond and turns off anonymous comments.

Jim Sterling is my favorite gaming journalist, and someone I almost always agree with. His latest release, however, seemed a little bit off. I'd love to know what /r/mensrights thinks of it.

The video had a couple interesting points, but I didn't really feel like I got anything from it. It's probably because the creator and I have different political and economic views. Still, upvote for adding diversity to the community.

Tyler Durden certainly recognized some of the problems men face in modern society, but I don't think he had the answers. Violence, self-destruction, terrorism or joining a cult that will castrate you if you impede them or make their existence known are not solutions to these problems.

Yes, I've seen this video. His skills and knowledge are very impressive. But his intentions were entirely different. He wasn't abstaining from money, he was testing his physical and mental endurance to survive apart from society. All of his provisions, gear and clothing had to have been obtained and produced with money.
/r/MensRights23/04/12 03:33 PM

He said he quit money, but he still survives off of a system that can only exist with money. The clothes that he wears, the bicycle he rides, the food that he retrieves from dumpsters, only exist because of money. He's right in that there are inherent problems with how money is handled, but he shouldn't judge it so harshly when it's what enables him to survive. Besides, if everyone adopted his way of life, billions would die of starvation, disease and exposure.

I agree, the video doesn't show enough for us to tell if the woman was justified in feeling threatened by this man. The reason I shared the video was because of the other passengers' reaction. They were fine with him being pushed around but as soon as he kicked her away from him, they were appalled and were immediately on her side. Also, is there not a way to include text when submitting a link? I tried to share this information when I made this post, but there didn't seem to be an option for bo…
