So are you saying it should be illegal to be a single parent ? I think they are extenuating circumstances sometimes that make it more realistic for a person to be a single parent. If A. They are not compatible or wanting another partner, preferably this partner would be of the opposite sex. Perhaps education can help them, if they are made aware from the beginning how much harder their and their child’s life will be, without a second parent. B. I don’t thinking making it illegal is the solution. They are legitimate reasons why two people aren’t compatible as parents, male and female. In that case, before hand if someone is deemed a unfit parent they should be mandated to attend parenting classes and other educational resources. In a broader sense we should do things that economically encourage people to have families and be in monogamous relationships.
