Female opinion here. These feelings should be normalised. Jumping into another relationship after a marriage breakup or any relationship breakup is what is weird. Its normal to not want intimacy for a bit. Its normal to not be interested in another relationship for a bit. Its normal to feel heartbreak and uncertainty being single again. However being alone and being lonely are two different things. If you isolate yourself from life you will be alone which I would reccomend avoiding. Being lonley…

Im an 80s baby. Whenever I saw porn odd occasion at friends places, all I could think of was stds running rampant. Just cant do it lol. Anyway, sounds like ex wife did have an issue with it. Some other comments in thread make me think it was more of an issue than what described in original OP post

Yeah this isn't helpful. It's hard to think clearly when going through a life changing event. Thats why people come here to get other peoples opinions so they can get some support to make better choices.

Maybe give away anything you don't want. At least it will go to someone who may need it for a positive outcome. My husband bought me our coffee machine. Even if something happened I dont think I could part with it lol. But if I had to because of bad memories etc, I would give it away so someone else can enjoy it 😊

Marriages aren't modern if we are being honest.

There was no affair, she just said she just got bored and can’t stand me She hasn't gotten 'bored' out of nowhere. This is probably what she is telling you because she has told you plenty of times where the marriage has been failing for years and she's tired of repeating herself. I have always been the breadwinner, she has had a bunch of jobs, but never holds them for more than a year, as she gets bored and rather tend to the kids. You say she got bored of jobs or did you dismiss her when she wa…

Pffft, go look at some of my past posts on here, they're pretty supportive.

It is garbage that a woman puts her life at risk to push out human footballs, be the primary caregiver for them but it's not enough to deem worthy putting her last name on them 😆
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 01:49 AM

Lol, your kids aren't entitled to your name either considering your wife pushed them out and was probably most likely thr primary caregiver in the relationship.

Agreed. Its a massive pain. My mother found it exhausting changing back and this was 20 years ago. With how companies now manage PII, it's an even bigger hassle.

You sound like a level headed dad and the last thing you want to do is punch on in front of kids at a work event. Maybe Try to stay around circles of people at the event that he wouldnt know. . If the mf tries to communicate with you or talk to people in the same circle, just say you need to run to the bathroom, duck away and find another circle to socialise in. If hes a bit of a weak pos, maybe give him a couple of death stares when you first see him so he stays away for most of the event 😆

So let me get this right, men want women to change their name to suit them But when they don't want to change it back after divorce because 1)it was a big ass fkn hassle to do it the first time, fk doing it again and 2)most women want to keep the same last name as their kids - it's suddenly an inconvenience? Wild.

You already sowed two wild oats and couldn't maintain the support system (marriage) for them. Please don't sow anymore wild oats. You don't even want to spend 50% of your time with your wild oats. Get a vasectomy. Jesus.

So? He can start dating too. Doesn't really sound like it's their priority though. Their kids are their priority. They both seem like great parents who have just outgrown/changed with time, realise where the relationship is at and are parting ways amicably with as little complication as possible. Why shit on that?

So I know someone who married a woman from the Philippines. Once married with a kid, a bunch of phillipino men rocked up on his door. Turns out she runs with Philippino crime gang/mob. Basically told him needed to get a divorce with most proceedings to go to her or they would end him and people he loved. Does that sound nice lol

Kinda happens when you don't have your own income and independence from being a SAHM. When divorce is on the cards survival mode kicks in.

This too. You can even get it from toilet seats. I usually put toilet paper down when I use a public toilet to try and avoid this. Husband thinks im nuts, im like at least I won't get hpv 🤣
/r/Divorce_Men16/11/24 04:04 AM

If she has hpv, possible. Most people who carry don't even know, and it's also not detectable half the time (this is why everyone should get tested if they plan on entering a long term relationship where you are going to raw dog it all the time, crazy people dont). If it's not hpv though, she has been cheating and people who cheat gaslight the other person to hide the fact that they're cheating. They're hoping that you were cheating as well so maybe you think it was you.

Her exact words, you asking me to use my money to pay? “What am I winning in this relationship by me working then? That's cruel. I get there are relationships put there where a husband will pay for all of that, but I don't feel it is a requirement and it depends on the finances in the relationship. Its kind of clear she's after a sugar daddy relationship so It probably is time to divorce, I understand you questioning it because of the challenges you face with the custody of your child if they we…

I could never put my husband through this. I don't even understand what her angle is. You seem to be making an honest living and bringing home some decent bacon but it's not enough. I would say you have definitely reached the right time to divorce. If there were no kids I would just book a one way ticket home and get a court at home to provide a divorce. However I don't know how that works in Moscow and you have a child too which is the biggest complication, which im sure you are already aware o…

Studying and looking after kids is extremely hard work and takes a lot of discipline so I doubt she's doing it for shits and giggles just to continue to be a SAHM at the end of it. She will most likely want to get into the workforce so her degree/study doesn't go to waste. I've never met a woman who studied during/after a divorce and let it go by the wayside to live off someone else. It's clear that her role as SAHM has been severely undervalued by you in the relationship just because she doesn'…

Serious illness can change people. Maybe she doesn't want to burden you. I'm not sure what you mean though by you want to get some finances out of it. Like if she's not working and the house is hers what are you trying to get? Did you put any money into the house to improve its value? Do you have other assets that need to be split? Is there kids?

This is really sad to hear. Children always change a relationship and people don't realise how much a child can change a relationship. What is it that isn't working? Different parenting styles? Is she going through PPD? Do you find yourselves exhausted all the time? Is there time for you two to be a couple? If you haven't don't couples counselling i would give it a go. If there is conflict in parenting go to some parenting classes. You could still be in the zone to save your marriage and family …

Also just to add, your kids need to see you and your wife as a team. Not a hierarchy. Consistency and routine is key for raising kids. You and your wife need to nut this out because it does seem she is overwhelmed (which is normal) and is why I reccomended parenting classes.

I've been through some of your posts and I wonder if you even wanted kids in the first place? You say your view is man being head of the house and you tell us what your wifes view is but I doubt that you have articulated her point of view very well. I doubt it is even her view at all. You also view the home as YOUT home, not OUR home. That's messed up when it comes to a family home. You think your kids are too loud? well little kids are fkn loud man. Theyre loud when theyre happy, theyre loud wh…

You're welcome. I got medicated about 2 years ago and it's been a game changer. I hope it has been for you as well. Something I forgot to mention is something called Cycles of Grief. If you google it should come up. It's basically a U shape and it starts at the top at the left and then drops down and you can go back and forth a bit too and then eventually you come up on the right once you go through the cycles. It helped me understand my anger/rage/extreme sadness when I lost someone close to me…

I've only been medicated for nearlly 2 years now, but things that made me put strategies in place before was the amount of money I was spending, getting depressed from all the stuff I was collecting and being conscious of how much waste I was really accumulating. I made an effort to buy good quality clothes and products for the home. and if I had something, do I really need two of it. It was a slow process but I got there. Putting a stop to buying cheap products that won't last was probably the …

Not hunting, it showed up. I don't understand why men marry if they can only be with someone if they're attractive. We all get old. If your partner always needs to be young and attractive don't marry. Nothing wrong with that. Just stop wasting a woman's life if you can't be with her once she ages.

Adhd woman here who had a similar problem with buying shit. Make her go through it. Many moons ago I had to move cities for work (pre-diagnosis too). It was HELL. I was in my mid 20s with an accumulation of shit like a 40yo married couple. It was hard for me to face that. But it made me realise I had issues even though I couldn't put my finger on it. So I went through everything and put a bunch of atrategies in place so I wouldn't get to that point again. Proud to say I have been pretty successf…
