I mean, is there a way to fix whatever fatherlessness caused, or is someone who grew up that way just permanently undateable?

Kknda late but I forgot this thread. ...she owns 12 properties and has a work from home job at her father’s business making 10k per month. Doesn’t depend on men for anything and makes all her decisions in regards to men based on how they treat her and what type of person they are Isn't that a fail by trad/RP standards? An unfeminine bitchy non-virgin career woman who isn't submissive and probably past the wall.

Re: strawman arguments, no one said so herr, but it is the impression I get from the "fatherless behavior" meme and the general way people talk about this subject, that no father figure = no boundaries, discipline, direction.

That's where I usually hear it, yes. Online, podcastd, etc.

I'm flattered that multiple people on this thread think I'm a straight dude.

I hate to say it but I was kind of waiting for a comment like this. Where do all these assumptions even come from? What does missing a father specifically have to do with a woman being selfish? Hey, you could just as well blame it on her being a daddy's girl who's never told "no". Where do people get the idea that men become hardassed conservative disciplinarians once they have a kid?

I recall hearing about that years ago; I've also seen more pushback against it, including just mocking the idea as nonsense that doesn't have real data. I'd be lying to say I don't have some personal stake in this question - I'm a widow's kid. Idk where that places me in the hierarchy of women's relationships with their fathers. Especially because I first heard about these differences claiming that my demographic does better in life than kids of divorce.

I wonder about this sometimes. Especially with TRP-types who consider it a red flag or even dealbreaker if a woman's dad wasn't in the picture or they have a poor relationship. My mom is a widow, she and my dad only had 9y together. They married a couple years before I was born and apparently had a rather traditional setup and were deeply in love and fantastically happy with it. I saw them fight once, before my dad went to the hospital and never left. Idk if that and my lack of experience/attrac…

When I was an ugly 21yo female I failed out of college, was borderline homeless and inexplicably unemployable, and terrified of anything sexual. Wtf even is this thread.

I've been increasingly under the impression that the "serious help" traits are exactly what men want: sweet, submissive, non-confrontational and dependent.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 05:28 PM

If the internet is anything to go on, most men are like this or want these traits. If I try to date, this is what I'll deal with. If it's true that I'm too old, I can't expect him to be "loyal" (I always thought I'd be okay with that anyway. My sex drive is super low and I could never keep a man around with sex alone). Just because that's how it is. tldr I probably don't really have a choice

I posted a while back about how women should respond to Red Pill info. Kind of the point of that was my own situation - late 20s with next to no dating experience. That relative "purity" is the main thing I have going for me. However I don't know how to be "feminine" in the way men want - at least some affirm that yes ladies, you have to dumb yourself down. But like, how dumb? Even at a healthy weight I'm plain at best, so not hot enough to actually get away with anything. And I'm a shitty actor…

I'm amazed no one is saying this: Most of the time in the West, the terms submit/submission/submissive are used to mean "yielding to authority". To imply hierarchy of some sort where one party is higher than or has power over the party who submits. The fundamental question is why it's so "natural" or "ideal" that a man is an authority that his wife/partner should "submit to". On what grounds? Many households are dual income so it's not like she conceivably "owes" him for providing for her. Argum…

The concept of the hoe phase/party phase/cock carousel Lately I've seen some TRP-adjacent creators add another part to it where apparently all women get offered luxury vacations, getting flown out to wherever for sex because men just love them so much! And all she has to do is exist! Yeah no. That isn't most women.

Disagree on the last sentence but I'm sick to death of seeing all women portrayed as gold-diggers. We aren't, I promise. Idk where they even find these women who just openly admit to wanting a man to fund a luxury lifestyle for them.

I have personally heard submissive more than cooperative In this space it seems they're the same thing. I've never heard it anywhere else.

I would call myself a heteromantic graysexual, which means I am romantically attracted to women, but I have limited sexual attraction. Nice, same here. Except fem and attracted to men, and even then not often. I've been on two dates in my life. I didn't enjoy either of them or even want to go. I'm also overweight, and plain at best even at a healthy weight. However I suck at interpersonal intimacy and am deeply attached to being able to come and go as I please. I'm boring and again, can't get by…

Was just mulling over responses from another thread and wanted to put them forward: There's no such thing as an egalitarian relationship because the providing and caretaking duties will never be split exactly 50/50. Someone will make more money or do more of the housework, and it's basically the same thing as strict binary roles.

Fr. I come from an unfortunate line of widows - self reliance is a necessity and the idea that it's virtuous to be dependent on a partner is deranged. With how I was taught, a woman should be able to support herself but also the husband should support her if he really loves her (I disagree with that part myself)

Regarding the childcare and chores points, how would you reply to the argument that that's her fair share of labor? That you, as a man, go out and build and conquer or whatever other metaphor for working all day, so it's only fair and equitable that she take care of the home and kids.

I've been going down this rabbit hole and worrying about it. The thing about men vs women aging is supposed to be that women's sexual "value" comes solely from her attractiveness and perceived "fertility". That inevitably declines with age. No one really cares about women's "achievements"; she might have quite high "personal value" but that doesn't mean much in dating. Meanwhile men's sexual "value" is tied to things like money, status, and career. So an older guy might be physically mediocre bu…

First, that guy is a complete asshole. If you haven't reported him for harassment/assault, please do so. This excuse for a man is trash with no sense of boundaries. However, the stuff he says about you lying about your relationship or virginity is something I personally worry about. I'm older than you and also a virgin with minimal dating experience - similar attitude too, from your post. I genuinely worry that more conservative/rp guys will also assume I'm lying (and more progressive ones will …

As far as I can suss out, it's not that redpillers don't believe in the patriarchy. They certainly aren't using the language, but they philosophically believe in its existence. Where they go in another direction is they believe it is hardwired via biological essentialism. I've definitely seen some argue that the patriarchy doesn't exist but rather the world is gynocentric. Their arguments are often the same as people who argue about "white privilege": "I grew up dirt poor and was horrifically ab…
