| 14 | My mom always said when your on a date you pay. I asked why and she said "its rude if the man doesn't pay for every dinner, and you need to be respectful." I was confused why just because your gender you have to pay for dinner.My mother did the exact opposite. "Never let a man buy you anything, he's only doing it because he wants something." I took that shit to heart and messed me up. It took years to trust kind men who really did just want to be nice. 15 years and counting with my husband and my mom is 3 times divorced and alone.
