I don't want to be accusatory since I don't actually know you and you may not be doing this, but with that said, I caution you to be wary of succumbing to confirmation bias as we're all susceptible to it. I've combed through TRP since 2013, read the side bar, NMMNG, rational male etc some of them 2-3x, but I still don't treat redpill dogma like it's 100% accurate at all times. Much of the backbone of the philosophy is pertinent but not every single detail will apply to all women or all men. Sure…

I guess it depends on how "needs" are being defined here. Like needs insofar as access to resources etc? I can see that, but what about needs that are higher up on Maslow's hierarchy. Needs like those don't seem to necessarily be met through meeting your own needs, and are arguably even more important than the more basic needs of resources in the modern world since those are already largely met simply by being a woman in today's Western society.

Meanwhile let her meet her needs covertly through your needs I think I understand this on an abstract level, but would you mind giving a more tangible, real-world example of what this looks like? That is, a woman meeting her needs covertly through your needs.

awesome, great advice! and I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts. How about the act of actually trying to initiate sex though? should I avoid that and just do things like smack her ass etc, or do I continue to try to initiate even when she's said no several times now?

Thank you. I appreciate this advice. You are right, depression is a singular battle. She has already mentioned wanting to go to a therapist, I will reinforce this thought of hers. Any advice on how to treat her in the mean time as far as affection and communication goes? Do I go on like everything is normal or do I withdraw a bit to show through action that this current stage is undesirable to me?

I'm hesitant to call it "bad behavior" simply because she hasn't been showing a lack of interest in sex with just me, but with sex in general. I don't have any reason to not believe her on this either. I'd like to handle this situation with some care, as I believe all of her actions have warranted that at the least. When I was going through some shit and jobless she was there for me, so it seems appropriate to reciprocate her good behavior. I do agree that lots of attention is probably the wrong…

I do hear you, Travis. Although I must respectfully disagree that you can't "objectively" claim someone is a catch. I believe you can take anything and make it into a pros versus cons list and if the pros are abundantly outweighing the cons than you can still come up with a conclusion. I also want to stress to you that this has only been for a month, and that when she was younger in her teens she suffered actual clinical depression and was medicated for several years, but before I met her she ha…

like others have said quit bitching. I know plenty of dudes who are 5'6 even who pull 8+ all the time. literally as long as you're taller than the girl thats all they care about, because if you strut around with confidence you'll be tall in her mind.

wow. this describes my ex very well. not everything is spot on, but most. like she has never had an abortion and to my knowledge had not cheated on anyone before me, but she did cheat on me, however it was 3 years into our relationship and she told me about it hours after it happened. she wasn't the most girly girl but sometimes she would be. every now and then she would wear a very cute dress and i loved when she dressed all feminine like but she much preferred to wear skinny jeans a t shirt a …

don't even go in with the mindset of trying to attract girls. that in and of itself is unattractive. you're going to college to accomplish things for YOU right now. girls will be attracted to your dedication

I imagine everyone goes through it. but good on you for recognizing it. I think getting past it is just a matter of time, how much depends on the person. I've personally been in and out of the anger phase for about 6 months now. Women suck, it's very sad... hopefully it gets better soon. I want to find a unicorn so badly...

it's not almost depressing it is depressing. I'm still in the anger/depression phase realizing the true nature of 'most' women to the point where i have almost no desire to even try and hook up with girls. I'd almost rather just chill with my bros, improve myself, and have a date with ol' mr Handy when lonely.

Ran today actually. I lift 3 days a week and run 3 days a week. I'm honestly in fantastic shape, 6 pack now even. I focus all of my emotion into the gym. i won't lie though. I still have oneitis hard. real hard. I was with this chick for 25% of my life. day in day out. slept with her every night for years. Things were great for a long time and than crumbled. It's been 6 months and it's still so hard, i'm tired of waking of miserable every morning. me and her went through a ton together, almost d…

No type of immediately noticeable distant. Because she will pick up on it and question it. Go back to exactly how it was before, but keep the attitude of everything is fine. remember to maintain frame. it is essentially everything.

relationships are indeed a power struggle my friend. I've been through similar things to what you're going through. Right now the ball seems to be in no ones court, but if you are aren't careful it's heading towards her side. Whatever you do, don't over apologize for being a dick and breaking up with her randomly. The more you do this the more power you give her and it makes you appear weak willed. Appear to be confident in your actions and she will lean on that confidence. find something to foc…

What your saying sounds so fucking logical and what i should do, I just mentally can't wrap my head around doing it. The heart wants what the heart wants. how do i get out of this blue pill mentality? a big issue of mine is that while I know i could probably plate some girls right now with my SMV being pretty high, I am not turned on by girls or attracted to 'hook-up girls' they are off putting to me. I only really am attracted to classy girls, the type that won't let you bed them unless you are…

Thanks for taking the time to read my previous comments to get a better insight. What you're saying has been what all of my buddies tell me over and over. I usually think very logically and accordingly, except when it comes to this chick. We've got a lot of history and have been through literal near death experiences together. At some point or another we were actually 'in love' for real but that got buried under shit thats happened as I'm sure you've read. I think a lot of the shit can be attrib…

thanks for your comments man, they really help and make a lot of sense to me. It's bittersweet that I no longer will think of love and trust the same way ever again, but i suppose it's a burden we all eventually share as we grow up and go through these life experiences

does it really need to be a whole year? because a lot of the advice on this sub is that i need to find a new girl to hook up with . i've never even hooked up with any other girl besides my ex before. I personally don't feel i am ready yet 4 months after the break up but perhaps a couple months from now ill want to at least start talking to girls again. my whole problem is my trust for women has been completely obliterated. i feel that my ex has destroyed a part of myself that i don't know if i c…

I would love to talk actually. Your advice really resonates with me. let the record show that we have been broken up since february. since then I have hung out with my bros and have been lifting and running and I am currently in the best shape of my life. your soda story was perfect for me because I did exactly that many years ago. I didn't have soda for a couple of years and then I tried it and was repulsed by it.

so are you saying that maybe in the past men and women in LTR's could be best friend but in todays society it just does not work? I enjoyed being best friends, when things were good they were great. however when they sucked they sucked hard. i'm just so confused. Every belief i held true has been shattered in the past few months. I'm glad i found this sub.

I do have my group of best guy friends. But man, when you are with a girl for that long, day in day out, you inevitably become best friends. I think the girl you end up marrying should be your best friend. or is this a blue pill concept? either way it kind of makes sense to me because looks a status fade and the only thing lift is friendship. you are right though, all I have shown her is that I have no backbone. is it possible to show her now? or is it not even worth it anymore

it's just especially difficult because me and her never even 'dated' we have basically been married for 5 years. that's how our relationship was. She is also my best friend. Think about it, I've dated her for almost 25% of the time i've been living, I know nothing else. It also doesn't help that she has the body of a goddess and a face to match. and if you're wondering I have been lifting pretty religiously for the past year , I'm in very good shape and my smv has for sure gone up because of it.…

led me to believe that I was her soulmate and was deeply in love with me and promised to never leave my side. broke up with me 3 separate times throughout the relationship for a couple months at a time, and to top it all off cheated on me with a good friend at the time.

r/malefashionadvice So first I'm gonna say go find a well fitting pair of jeans. Try Banana republic. They will be a bit pricey, but find sales. it is important to have a nice pair of jeans. Target is a great place to go for t shirts of assorted colors and collar types and they are usually only 8 bucks a piece. shoe game is important. Have several different pairs of shoes to match with different outfits.

this is all so disappointing to hear. especially how many guys have gone through this. what happened to the girl i met? i originally fell for her because she was so different from other girls. She would actually befriend guys and girls who were socially awkward, or date people for personality above looks. i feel like my whole world has turned upside down. I can't picture my life without her. but i realize it might be for the best. my biggest fear: being bitter over this for the rest of my life. …

i really appreciate your comments deptii. and you are correct she is my first love. as far as my sexual market value goes .. interestingly enough it has only ever gone up since we first met at 16. I have been lifting/running for the past 2 years. I have a pretty nice body 5'11 160 lbs of lean muscle, look decently cut. and my job pays about twice as well as all my other friends jobs, live with friends off campus housing, have a nice car etc. I play piano/make music.
