I made a thread asking for tips on how to marry well and the mods gave me a hard time about it, making me edit it to relate to the redpill to put it back up after they deleted it. In the thread and a few others, most of them men said that the woman's education and career is unimportant with a few saying these kind of men care a great deal. Expect a mixed bag on responses. I will be reading along because I would love to know the definitive answer to this myself.

Strange that this is so rarely recommended. It seems like common sense.

Make UMC/UC platonic friends. Most people are keen to meet partners through friends I like this advice because I would rather meet people in person and have a great time than get involved with online dating. Do you have any activities or places outside of college in mind where I can start meeting them? In the fall, I will have school at my disposal to help me with this but I would like to start meeting people this summer.

Why share this with me when I am not pursuing you for marriage?

That doesn't answer my question and you don't know my academic background.

Well UMC or higher is what I am interested in. To your other point, I asked my question here since this sub seems very interested in discussing social class. You really have no idea of what UC is, and can’t tell class from money. I can learn. No one was born knowing the difference.

I check off all of these boxes so hopefully, I am starting off on the right foot.

I meant within our relationship, not hooking up. I have never had casual sex before and don't intend to.

no, if you try it will just make you seem lower class AND socially clueless. I thought so too. I am not going to try it. From your examples, it seems as if the UMC would be even more guarded against someone like me so that I wouldn't lower their standing. Does that mean the UC is impenetrable or that they wouldn't mind so much so long as they were comfortable with me? Are they only impenetrable if they are "old money" as you say? Atlas said I don't have anything going for me to justify the men f…

A few people have said I don't know what UC is and I am inclined to agree because I don't know what you mean by the hard work that comes from marrying into that life. I won't be writing those men off either. Thanks!

Thanks flamingo! When I say UMC I was thinking more like doctors (I always read on here that this is where doctors land in the states). I do take your point however. You really to have to think of it as a culture, not an income bracket--admittedly the lines are fuzzier in the states, but it's not the same thing at all. The culture is what I am after so I will keep this in mind

Well I certainly don't need to ask you how to love a man. I have that covered. I asked for the pertinent information because these are the things I know nothing about. I think these critiques are hypercritical and they aren't an accurate reflection of my character or the sort of relationship that I am looking for. I should be able to ask these questions without being seen in this light but you are entitled to your opinion. Men do not need to be covert in their search for an attractive and sexual…

If you were truly driven to make this climb you would have figured this stuff out long before 25. I simply did not know and I had no reason to. When I stumbled upon the red pill and purple pill debate, these revelations began to appear. There were suddenly explanations for differences I have seen but could not explain. I have even began to notice a relationship between a man's social class and his attitude towards relationships. But really you just want money don't you? I want to start a family …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/19 08:39 PM

I found this helpful. And you're right. I am more concerned about class beyond just the income itself. Also you said nothing about “enjoying” family life you said financial concerns and that’s all I addressed, I wasn’t talking about enjoyment. You're right here as well. I assumed that anyone who spoke of wanting to get married and starting a family would be seen as someone who wants to enjoy family life. I did not expect anyone to take it any other way. I guess I have a lot to learn.

I would like to have three kids. If this is incompatible with the UC, why is that? (Am I using "large family" incorrectly?)

but she’ll end up being something of an impediment to his ability to rise in class. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this?

I can see with my own two eyes how financial stability benefits everyone and I want that for myself and a family. It doesn't go any deeper than that. You're interpreting things beyond my meaning. I asked both UMC and UC because either one would be a wonderful life to me. I don't assume these are the only ways people can enjoy family life. I don't come from money but I come from a loving family unit.

I can't convince you that I am not a troll so I will move on. I still buy into the dream that Americans can fashion the lives they wish to have because this is a land of opportunity. I am not saying a person can simply marry a millionaire at her whim or anything like that but I'm young, in a great city, and willing to work for it. That has to count for something.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/19 07:53 PM
1

I don't see why I can't be both authentic and pragmatic. I may want certain material things but I don't want to marry a person I cannot love and does not love me. I don't see why it needs to be either or. I also fail to understand why learning what I need to fit in makes me inauthentic. Everyone, including those born in these social classes, are taught social conventions and how to behave. The lessons don't strip you of your personality. These are just the dressings. I am still myself and never …

We earn our livings, same as most people. I am happy to do the same. And if you are LMC or WC, be prepared for your values and mores to conflict with his in some very fundamental ways. It would be great to learn more about these unspoken differences. I grew up in a traditional home, gender roles more or less intact but hard work expected from everyone. No such thing as a free lunch, so to speak.

Both you and Atlas are wrong. What is so outlandish about someone like me asking this question? PPD discusses social class frequently. What is so strange about trying to find a spouse that meets this description when it is generally agreed that such spouses are desirable? I'm a bit taken aback by this. Are we meant to just be born and stay in the same station in life? So much so that the question appears to be a troll?

I haven't really described anything. I only stated UMC/UC and followed the thread. I wouldn't be upset if the man I found was UMC and loved me. I would be very happy with that life. I know you mean the distinctions are important, and they are, but aren't the women that attract both types essentially the same women?

Your previous comments are more helpful. I understand that you disapprove but that is not going to deter me because without more information, these words do not mean much. I simply see a naysayer. I don't see why I shouldn't try. If I put all of my energies in LC men, I am not dealing with any less risk anyway. I may as well give it my best shot. Even if I didn't meet my ultimate goal, I would do far better than what is available to me now.

I will check these books out today. But really just abandon this goal and find a good guy with money who you are in love with. I believe that is what I am doing here.

Is it just me or are insights like these generally guarded? There appears to be some contempt for people who want to rise in class. My question might be naive but why is that? I don't mind taking it slow and learning the proper ways. Thank you for sharing some usable advice with me.

It is my lifestyle. I am 25 and I teach. Most of my time outside of work is spent with my family and giving my sister a hand with her children. I will be going back to school full-time come fall of this year. I want to completely change my lifestyle and have a better future.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can be around more UC men and their circles so that I can make these observations? I don't know where they would be. That is why I came online to ask, presuming that a few maybe here and able to give some insights about what interests men like themselves.

Is there something wrong with wanting to have a family with children that are well provided for? I have been lurking and it seem it is mostly lower class men who are going against marriage and it's ideals. I don't want to be a forever girlfriend, struggling with an angry man. I want to be a happy wife that supports her happy husband and have lots of children. I have interests and education but it seems most men speak against these things for women looking for the family life. If that makes me a …

Thank you. What are some ways to learn to be more sophisticated and classy? I am pretty ordinary and not too sure where to get an education on that sort of refinement. I have a great figure going for me and an active lifestyle but I think it takes more than that to look the part right?

You sound as though you are happily married. Do you suppose your wife's humble beginnings have something to do with your attraction to her personality or does that not make too much of a difference with men?

Your speech does a poor job of explaining what happened to me. I am a 44 year old virgin. Men enjoy time that women don't have and if the woman is born into poor circumstances, she can never recover like men can. This is something men created for themselves. I have made peace with the injustice that comes with living in a society made by men, for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/19 08:37 PM
1

I am sure if someone hurt you this way, you wouldn't want people being so unsympathetic and unfeeling. You are trying to inflict as much damage as possible and you don't even know here. That makes you a very bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/19 07:52 PM
1

Yes. You missed your boat. You left the opportunity window of youth to pass and now your value is really small and diminishing Those years passed me through no fault of my own. Are you saying that if I find someone, it is nothing short of a miracle? Why do men get their whole lives to get it right and women only get to be adults for 10 years when men are not even benefitting women in the same proportion as they did in the past when these rules mattered most?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/19 12:40 AM

It is simpler than that. I am a 44 year old virgin. I am that unattractive. I am physically fit, I'm just ugly.

My problem is you spreading your racism as fact. I bet you are not even attractive enough for your opinions on women of color. It is always the bottom of the barrel that relies on racism the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 03:17 PM
1

I notice that men are racist, absolutely. Everyone says that a woman's attractiveness does not make it difficult for her to find anyone but once anyone mentions black women, men like you say that black women are less attractive. White women would be ugly based on Black beauty standards. The comment is racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 03:03 PM

That is a racist comment.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 01:53 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 01:36 PM

People on Reddit are not interested in high quality Black women being left out even though what happened in the Black community is foreshadowing what will happen to the rest of them. I think some of trp might have noticed this. They most certainly will not be interested in an what happens to the average black woman. They don't count black women when they make their sweeping generalizations.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 01:36 PM
1

It is not illegal every where. You may be tired of this being brushed off but it is a popular and viable option. You can be a "generous boyfriend" to someone out of your league in order to satiate your interests in casual sex. I don't have a single option that is similarly available to me. I only get told I should be grateful that I can spread my legs for men. What I need is thoroughly unaccounted for so don't talk to me about being brushed off. Women like myself are the invisible class.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 12:27 PM
1

Okay, I was just answering the question. Men can pay for casual sex, worse comes to worse. It is not even close to the same thing in levels of importance.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/19 12:08 PM
1

Dating is almost impossible for women who are not considered attractive. I don't mean fat. I mean unattractive. Dating is much harder for black women. Young professionals have to contend with racist stereotypes and men who only sample. It is men who are playing victim. See trp, mgtow, incels. They are just unhappy that pushing so much casual sex in the age of Tinder has landed them with more competition with higher quality options. For example, men speak against monogamy and are shaping the wome…
