I used to do that when I worked, I didn't think of doing it now. I generally place a paper towel in my clam shell of greens and the big bag of spinach. I bought romaine last week and lined a plastic bowl with paper towels and put the fitted lid on top and that worked well.

Then probably not worth it for you. I'm a bit of a slob, but am working hard to change. The only thing I really got from the book is the folding method. I use it all the time now and it does make more room in your drawers. It's kind of amazing actually. But I don't have an organized mind so others may have already figured out things.

This is a pricey answer but we have a sous vide that DH bought himself for Christmas 2017. It makes every cut of meat/fish/chicken more moist. I was not happy he bought it because we have about every kitchen gadget you can think of (he loves to cook) but after 2 meals including the pork loin roast that has been very dry in the past, I was a believer. We use it every week.
