Personally I feel we would all be way happier by ending weird, arbitrary and inessential things like “masculinity" and figures selling the latest version of the nonexistent ruleset like Tate should be countered as hard as possible. But yeah, a more impactful use of her plataform would be talking about how male victims of SA and DV are disproportionally mistreated by socity, authorities and the word of law. But that would implicate her ideological camp in an extremely negative way, so let's talk …

Sexual harassment, domestic violence and rape are gender neutral crimes with a very close to 50/50 distribution of both perpetrators and victims. But both female perpetrators and male victims are disregarded both socially and legally.

True, but historically speaking he isn't wrong either. Like, that's why women exclusionary spaces are technically illegal, but “women's networking" events are common. Past (and several modern) feminists define equality as “empower women and control men" without giving a look to the corollary.

Not all men catcall or make women feel unsafe in public spaces. But it's always a man when it happens—whether it's an inappropriate comment, an unwanted touch, or being followed. This one actually relies on only caring about women's needs. Including men's experiences it's a gender neutral experience.

The only crime in the world that doesn't have atleast 30% female perpetrators is murder. Yes, that's including sexual and violent crimes. Even then, using the same logic of “who is killing the men" used to dissmiss the fact that men are the vast majority of victims, it's worth noting that both genders kill men more often. In fact, women kill men at a similar rate as men kill women.

Gender studies scholars are mostly women (and almost entirely feminists). They have institutionalized power since they are the ones in charge of laws and public policies involving interactions between the genders. In this case for example, the UK and the UN are the ones making these sort of anti-misogyny campaigns. Same UK and UN who say rape requires the assaulter to penetrate the victim and has it in public policy to combat domestic violence against women only. You know, despite the fact that …

You need to release the part of you that's been conditioned into self-sacrifice. People who aren't you are men and we all have to cooperate if we want to be taken seriously on our issues. A movement for the rights of a group only becomes a problem when it gets government funding to oppress other groups in their name. If people who represents such a group says you are taking too much space, feel free to ignore them. Overall, remember: equality is for everyone, equity is for disabilities. If women…

Goku being poorly written in super has nothing to do with being overpowered. He was overpowered in the baba's tournament saga (being the greatest martial arts master in world where martial artists can destroy the moon and outmaneuver lasers)and that was arguably the peak of his character. His writing declined because of flanderization: Goku was a bit dumb so for comedy's sake he's completely idiotic now. But the powers specificaly are very well written.

It's as much a science as astrophysics, but if 85% of people were flat-earthers. There's a lot of great social studies (A.K.A: 99.999% of our sources for proof) it's just that society in general has a strong dogma around discrimination against men.

The legal definition of rape excludes the vast majority of male victims and female rapists. And then, that same definition is used in studies. And then, misandrists have the gall to use the stats from those same studies to claim rape is a gendered issue. It's a multi layered problem, but my point is: 1 in 9 (possibly 1 in 2 considering men's 84% tendency to be in denial) have been raped, but made to penetrate is categorized as “other contact sexual violence" so most people wouldn't know.

I will let you in a little secret: welcome to the club! Most of us (as in, the vast majority) used to or currently identify as feminist. Granted, most drop the label eventually (too much bagage), but we know the perspective. I would have to say, while at large none of these issues are treated seriously, you are right in that they are often more arguable. And I have an hypothesis about it. Tl;DR: personal misogyny is treated as systemic misogyny. Speaking about any form of misandry is seen as per…

Straight people are not thrown from buildings and executed publicly because they’re straight. Straight people are not beaten, assaulted and murdered for being straight. This is blatantly false. Just because it happens LESS it doesn't mean it doesn't happen (it's almost like the LGBTQ+ represents like, 5% of humanity or something)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/07/24 03:21 PM
3

That was most experts' assumption too. Since then a lot of theories have come out about how men kill possessively and women kill defensively (despite the data collected in their studies not indicating that at all, mind you). To any sane person the answer is crystal clear: IPH victims are WAY more likely to have been abuser than domestic abuse victims. The victim gets to escape = no homicide.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/07/24 08:32 AM
6

I do wonder why there was simply less reduction in male perpetrated IPH though. It's strange isn't it? With the massive amount of men's shelters and governmental programs dedicated to male domestic violence victims you would think men would have more options/s

The amount used to be close. What changed? (Women's) domestic violence victim's shelters opened and the proportion of male victims dropped. Make of that what you will.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/07/24 07:24 PM
5

The weirdest part is how they keep fixating on “self defense". Because if we are just going to give so much benefit of the doubt it's worth remembering that most victims of inter partner homicide are abusers. But the amount of men who kill their significant other in “self defense" is not even being studied.

If so her assertion that many of those women could be responding to abuse is wrong. (I should take a closer look though this is based off my knowledge of the conflict tactics scale, not that spescific study). Women using violence to defend against violence is counted under reciprocal violence. /r/MensRights22/07/24 06:48 PM

There's really no middle point on this: feminist spaces censor any criticism and men's spaces have so many criticisms of feminism that they naturally tend to anti feminism. And there's just no way of talking about men's issues without bringing up feminism because it is one of the major influences in most of them, so men's issues groups are divided in 2 very distinct categories: -Heavily critical of feminism. Or. -Pretty much useless.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/07/24 07:58 PM

I mean, there are other forms of sexual aggression. Sure, women do more of the steriotypical terrorific, threatening and violent kind we see in series and movies. But the deceitful, coercive and manipulative kind accounts for a large number of cases too.
/r/MensRights18/07/24 08:08 PM

I completely support people speaking about equality, but those aren't the ones being consulted by governments to make laws True feminism exists in the theory, the practice is pure misandry.

I have to agree with the rest here: men's “issues" are very often systemic. That being said, I don't think you should be downvoted for this, it's a very relevant discussion to have, so I upvoted the post. Edit: also, my autism and pedantry doesn't let me let it go: *label.

All evidence indicates women (1 in 5 raped) get SA'd more than men (1 in 9 made to penetrate).the US. That said, more men (84%) than women (46%) report not being traumatized by SA (despite showing clear signs of repercussions like PTSD) so it's very posible (likely in my opinion) that most male survivors just block the experience from their memory.

Nearly all definitions of rape require the perpetrator to penetrate the victim. That's like saying “allmost 100% of chile abusers are women" no shut Sherlock, most primary childcarers are women. Adding made to penetrate 1 in 14 men in the US have been raped, with 79% reporting only female perpetrators. There's no way that the very misleading “99% of rapists are male" stat could possibly be real unless you use the “penetration of the victim's vagina, mouth or asshole" definition.

How their value isn't tied to how many times he gets laid or if he's married or not. That last part can't be stressed enough. Women fall in love with what they hear. Men fall in love with what they see. Ok, can we let this dumb myth die already? If you make women choose between a 5/10 billionaire and a 10/10 minimum wage worker 99.9999999999% of the time they will choose the physically attractive one. No woman will date a homeless man (would you date a homeless woman) but non gold-diggers won't care about money that much when they find a man sexually attractive.

I'm autistic, you should assume I don't get nuance until stated otherwise.

Honestly, Q and + are already redundant. But I like how it sounds so it's as it is to me.

Considering that men still don't have the right to vote... No, “equality" was just a slogan.

In general, yeah. It's a good way to cope. When someone wants answers? It's kinda rude man.

Idk how to quote on phone, seems fiddly but yeah Just put a > before the quote, like: “>"this But without the “ ". Also if you touch the words you want to quote in the comment there's a “quote" option after “copy"

Yeah, but for most of history we used to just let it go because “that's just women". Handsy drunk? That's just women! Rapes a sleeping guy? That's just women! Grooms a boy? That's just women! For some mysterious reason women didn't found this an offensive stereotype until the 1700's where the “women are too vile and stupid to make decisions" part was added.

Name me one right men are supposedly missing. Protection under the law. Men are the majority of domestic abuse victims, but can't report these to the police because of policies and attitudes that say that men are always the perpetrators. Men are 34% of rape victims in the USA (or 60%+ if you account for men's tendency to turn rape memories into consentual encounters), but are written out of the definition with semantics (made to penetrate) and get ignored. Most countries don't even cover men leg…

Chilean guy here. Male victims of sexual violence are never taken into account. I have been catcalled, wolfwhistled, groped and kissed against my consent by women SEVERAL times for over 10 years now. I'm 24. The only time anyone ever thought of interfering in any of these events was when I shoved a drunk off of me. It scalated quickly, but luckily I wasn't beaten up. Several men I know have these kind of stories and none of them had a good outcome from involving the law. Or really doing anything…

There's no such thing a “mutually abusive" relationships. They are a made-up term to statistically reduce female abusers.

To be fair, most men don't know that either. So, some aren't pretending, they just don't know.

No way this would fly with ANY other gender configuration!

Men kill their spouses more often. This is consistent in every society in every era Not in the USA in the 60's.

I wonder, how much of the domestic homicide of women is in self-defence? 54%? 71%? 99%? We just don't know because no one cared enough to ask!

I seriously feel like I'm in some kind world that is flipped where it used to be guys that behaved like this. This is the world you were born and raised in. You just heard of the flipside half of it because no matter how poorly a woman behaves, it always will be worse if she were a man/s

Only about 20% of the population are feminist, the only reason they have so much power is because politicians caters to them in the name of inclusion.

Lol, that's what most people assume, but in real life corporations tend to have 9 or 10 men and 5 to 7 women. Why, very simple: humans resourses is a very female dominated área. Hr filters who gets hired in companies. So women have to be good-looking enough to benefit but not attractive enough to not be competition. Men can get away with being very incompetent if they are attractive enough. Women can't be that level of attractive and get the job in the first place.

I'm from chile:male only conscription last time i checked. Not to mention the other systemic issues, but at least the Constitution with “gender perspective" got rejected
/r/MensRights30/09/22 12:55 PM

Well, in the case of trans boys on girl sports it's a simple issue. Before taking t they are the same biogically and after taking t they're basically on steroids, so sadly theycan't participate. Female humans develop faster so grouping them with cis boys wouldn't be fair either.

Don't worry pal. We all want the good parts of femenism to stay. It's when it actively hinders men's rights that we take offence to

It's projection my dude. Have you ever seen a group of women talking? Because i do all the time since i am studying a female-dominated career and sometimes it seems like they don't know any other topic
/r/MensRights19/08/22 06:26 PM

Yeah, that tends to happen when you define rape as something only penis-havers can do, the group representing 98% of penis-havers gets kinda over-represented.

That would make them insing: involuntary single lol.
/r/AntiFeminists07/08/22 06:12 PM

Well, that is true acording to some studies, but we really can't force víctima to report, and the one in the image is still an idiot since that has nothing to do with gender because men have the same quantity of rapes with even worse reporting
/r/MensRights04/05/22 07:03 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
