I don’t see any acknowledgement of the women’s issues being presented here. Sure they are shown in the graph, but being shown and being purposely acknowledged is not the same thing. I am merely pointing out that objectification goes both ways for different reasons. Your interpretation of my comment couldn’t be more wrong, lol. Did you just learn the term projection? Because that’s not how projection works. You use a lot of buzzwords without grasping their meaning.

Clearly you and the other members of this sub aren’t on the same page, then. Perhaps If you want men’s rights to be taken seriously you should have a semblance of unity, consistency, and mutual understanding on the points you are trying to argue. If mental gymnastics was a sport you would all make it to the Olympics and return with gold metals lmfao.

You didint explain in what way this is not objectification. If you can’t explain your argument, best not to have one.

“I can assure you that women don’t commit suicide because of objectification”. ^ like I said, you made a point that is blatantly untrue. You can either address it and rectify it, but until then, I’m really not going to place much stock in what you have to say, nor am I going to further address any points you make. If I’m so mentally handicapped, why are you so invested in talking to me? Quite a contradiction.

“I can assure you that women don’t commit suicide because of objectification”. ^ This might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on this sub, and considering the material it’s members give, that’s really saying something. You actually made some really excellent points, but you lost all the ground you built for yourself to stand on with that one comment. It’s sad, lots of you here demonstrate real intelligence and then you clown yourself with statements like that. Women absolutely do commit suicid…

Men’s rights are taken seriously. They always have been. This isint advice. I’m pointing out hypocrisy, clearly it makes many of you very uncomfortable. Hate speech? Lmfao. This is my favorite part of your comment, it truly embodies the men’s rights sub mindset. Bringing up women’s issues in conjunction with men’s= hate speech! Misandrist! Y’all throw around buzzwords left and right and at the same time try to condemn others for doing so. Well done.

Lmao. I understand where the data came from, and I understand the study. I believe that when someone commits suicide their family doesn’t always give accurate reasons for why (particularly in countries where suicide is very stigmatized). I mean realistically and logically these statistics on reasons for suicide don’t make sense. The post very well mentions both the things without hiding any fact.- they don’t “hide” any facts. But this post chooses not to address certain facts that DO need to be …

Anyone who sees this post and graph and thinks it represents the objectification of men and men only is kidding themselves. Men are objectified for their financial potential and women are objectified for their physicality. This sub is SO quick to say women aren’t objectified and moreover than men do not objectify women, and then when data posted by one of their own members shows that women are in fact objectified by men for their looks, everyone completely ignores it. Men’s rights in a nutshell …

unfounding is a method of investigative case closure (or clearance) intended to denote a specific outcome of an investigation. While both the DHS definition and the FBI definition can encompass false reports within the category of unfounded, it is critical to bear in mind that a report determined to be unfounded is not synonymous with a false allegation or report. This distinction is important enough that it is worth repeating – a report that has been unfounded is not the same as a false report …

I agree with all of that, but the fact of the matter still stands. Even if we changed the definition of rape to be more inclusive that does not in any way mean they would be 50/50. Men are more violent than women. This is literally fact based. It’s not a stereotype. It is a fact. Men murder more. Men commit acts of domestic violence more. And men rape more. The sooner the people in this sub accept the facts the sooner ppl will take you more seriously.

That’s also not true. Where do you even get that? Explain how me offering a valid FBI statistic on rape means your experience was discounted? You are trying to put the circle peg in the square hole. I’m no longer continuing this conversation.

Oh I fully intend to continue to use the term. Don’t be mistaken about that. Just because it pisses off the people in this sub doesn’t mean I have any intentions of not using it. At the end of the day it’s a necessary term, that is necessary to discuss. Because it exists, plain and simple. To not label it is counterproductive. I don’t think I’d say it’s scientific. Who can really say studies have been done in it. No, toxic masculinity is a term wrought from shared experiences by a vast group of …

I didint add new definitions of rape, I maintained the definition of consent. Again you still have yet to understand, If the answer is not yes, it’s no. Please polish up your understanding of consent, as that was the original issue with your comment.

Instead of addressing my comment you jump to changing the definition of rape. Interesting mental gymnastics. There absolutely would not be a 50/50 gender distribution, as men commit 98% of rape. That’s an FBI backed statistic. Even though male rape is vastly under reported, the majority of that rape is committed by males against males. So you are truly talking directly out of your asshole when you say there would be a 50/50 distribution. Get your facts straight. Get your head out of your butt. T…

Nope. Coercion (as you say guilt tripping) into sexual acts is also rape and not consensual. You need to polish up on the laws of consent my friend. Like I said, if the answer is not yes, it’s no. I have a feeling a lot of the “false rape accusations” I see here are a result of people like you having a completely backwards view on what consent actually is. It’s genuinely sickening. I wonder what the numbers would look like if someone combed through this sub and found comments like these that sho…

Masculinity in itself is not a bad thing. By “they” I assume you mean feminists as not liking masculinity, which is also wildly incorrect. Masculinity in itself isint harmful. It’s the type of masculinity that perpetuates harmful things such as men as being more qualified to lead because they are “less emotional” (this is ironic because toxic masculinity also perpetuates the idea that men cannot be emotional). And before you get yourself worked up, I’m well aware that the term “toxic masculinity…

If the answer is not yes, it’s no. I don’t think “everything” is being viewed as rape, I think your perception, and the perception of others in this sub of consent is just very incorrect.

Men are more likely to be murdered, but it’s also men who commit the vast majority of those murders.

I think it’s because many people have had a lot of similarly bad experiences when it comes to men, but specifically dating. It’s a pretty widespread thing that women feel their boundaries are crossed, or completely disrespected when interacting with men (not necessarily on a day by day, I mean individual interactions. My pleasant interactions with men far outweighs the unpleasant, but bad experiences are hard to forget). It’s also well known that the act of turning a man down can turn violent in…

Someone needs to work on their reading comprehension a little bit. Don’t worry, you’ll get there. And policing your behavior, and the behavior of men, is not ours. Despite the fact that society expects women to be responsible for the bad behavior in of men. Which is showcased in this sub since so many of you feel that feminists have a desire to keep you all in check. I don’t expect the degree of self awareness it takes to recognize the irony of that from this sub, but maybe I’ll be surprised. Al…

I don’t recall anyone asking you to be their policeman. You need to police yourself. That’s it. Everyone else needs to police themselves. This is a simple concept.

I appreciate your response but I’m gonna stop you right there. The person who posted that comment quite literally said Many feminist feel that men require a woman to regulate his masculine defects to an acceptable level. Like a grounds keeper mowing and maintaining the lawn. To keep him in check. Otherwise he's rouge and considered unstable. I even made it bold for you. Perhaps you interpreted their comment a different way than I did. I’m actually quite interested in how you interpreted their co…

Sorry, I think my comment implies I think this doesn’t happen at all and that would be wrong. I have seen it with my own eyes, my problem was with the person commenting it connecting the phenomenon with feminism. They just aren’t related, and a LOT of people in this sub absolutely LOVE to make connections to feminism when the thing they are trying to connect is not in fact relevant to feminism or feminist ideals. In this comment the opposite is true, because as I said a Goal of feminism is to re…

Uh. No. I’m not sure where you are even getting this, but no. Just no. I won’t speak for “most feminists” because that would be an incredibly ignorant thing to do, but your take on this seems very skewed. Part of Feminism seeks to disarm the responsibility for men’s behavior that is so often put on women. A huge part. So for you to say that feminists believe they are responsible for “keeping men in check” sounds utterly ridiculous. Speaking for myself, and the women I know who also feel this way…
