You probably right that that the term gets thrown around enough that its lost it meaning. When I say ‘toxic masculinity’ I’m talking about the old behaviours and ways of thinking that has still internalised itself in society that prevents gender equity. And no, I don’t believe masculinity itself is toxic.

I’m saying feminism is about equity and for all genders and carving toxic masculinity out of our culture, not putting femininity on a pedestal.

Nahhh I’d say the radicals are really just a super vocal minority. They seem like the majority because they keep drowning what everyone else has to say. This goes for both left and right. Also while yes we’ve come along way and women are now treated equally to men on a legal level and have much more access to higher positions in society, I still believe there are sexist attitudes and behaviours ingrained in our culture. Shit left over from ye olde days that is still proving to be an issue today …

Because I’m not talking about whatever 2 minute hate bullshit is going down on the Internet or whatever radical “””feminist””” shit some shut-in is tweeting out, purely for the sake of being radical, I’m talking about experiences with normal, reasonable people out in the real world who also subscribe to the belief that Patriarchy (oooo the scary word) needs to be done away with for the emancipation of women AND for the benefit of men/masculinity too. What feminism is meant to be about.

That wasn’t a deflection, it’s just not possible to answer your first question, and idk how I’m meant to give scientific evidence that I have generally had pleasant experiences with normal people.

I couldn’t tell you because as a man with actual lived experience in the ✨REAL WORLD✨ I have known many feminists who have nice things to say about men and masculinity. You’re missing the point again.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
