This will be buried but wanted to relate some personal experience. I'm average height for the country I live in 164cm/5'4". I'm not tall, nor am I particularly short. At university my then boyfriend (now husband) used to walk me to class to help carry things for me (I have a physical disability and need some extra help - long story) He's 195cm tall which is about 6'4"/6'5" and he's a total gentle giant. Proud you've set boundaries for yourself and know what you want from a relationship! I have a question about your working relationship, is he in a position of power where you work and would it be a HR issue if you were to date whilst you worked there? I'm curious about the power dynamics as OP sounds like she has a really good head on her shoulders and I wouldn't want this to have any career impact for her

Great assessment, would love to see you do a full post on this (I nearly missed it down in the comments). Feels like you have a lot of wisdom to share

100% agree it is never a woman's job to fill any kind of void in a man's life, friendship, validation, whatever it is - the woman is not responsible for their void. However, in my personal experience (not saying it's true across the board), I know men that have great, meaningful friendships with other men where they provide eachother emotional support. My brother-in-law's cancer treatment/cancer survival support group are a fantastic example of this. They look after eachother, raise money for ca…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
