It's never been real. Women and men have always had different roles in society. I'd much rather have not been able to vote than been forced to go to war. Now due to a successful propoganda campaign (and question who really benefits from that) it's been unanimously agreed it's OK to hate on men for X reason and Y reason. Can relate 100% - all you're doing is giving ammo for later on. Actually this is a really great example of one of the exact mechanisms I didn't do a good job of describing at play. I also can't help feel that is a man/woman dynamic where if the roles were reversed it would be considered severely abusive. I can only implore you to look at my other comment reply in this thread, and suggest that if a tribe or society loses most of it's women, it would take a lot longer to recover. If a large amount of either gender was lost, the other gender would have to assume a large amount of the missing roles. The group would be just as vulnerable in the short term, but time would be the main danger. Plus, it doesn't really matter about the origins of rhetorical devices, I am making a logical argument.

What makes me sad most of all is just how little of a picture you can get of someone through an app. Their smell, their taste, their mannerisms, their imperfections, dare I say, their soul. Yes I am comfortable rating women out of 10 on looks, I bet they do it to us! That's only ever AT MOST 50% of the deciding factor on whether I am interested. Can the legions of app users say the same?

Ugh I feel like this is what the signs are pointing towards. What sucks is I suck at tinder.
