You said there is no point in arguing with a woman due to their emotions and violence. That was a generalization of ALL women. Just because your edit says you're "not one to say all women can't use logic or reasoning" does not make you less sexist. Imagine saying: "I'm not even one to say all Black folx can't use logic or reasoning, I'm just saying I see too many of them screaming" and then also saying you're not racist. Own it if you wanna say it, my friend.

"Cracking open a cold one with the boys" is amongst you and your friends. Women have "girls night". It's different in camaraderie. If I said, "That boy I work with is XYZ" you would think I'm talking about a teenager. If I said "That girl I work with is XYZ" you actually have no idea how old that woman is. I think you'd be surprised how many women would really and truly wish they would be referred to as women.

I run a statewide healthy living non-profit focused on fitness and healthy food access. Needless to say, I'm in shape. But weaponizing weight shows an utter lack of intelligence and an inability to discuss anything of substance. Ad hominem attacks are the attacks of the weak-minded trolls. Watching trolls upvote one another and stay in their echo chamber is a stark reminder of the fight women still have ahead of them when s…

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're not a woman. I get called "girl" regularly. Like, all the time. I don't usually say anything, but it always irks me. You begin to see how uncommon it is for men to be called boys compared to women being called girls. "Guys" and "ladies" I also think are fine substitutes, but "girls" is something most of my women-friends discuss as rude. I ran for office and the very first door I knocked an older man said "you look like a nice, pretty girl - I don't …

It is dehumanizing. Pretty basic egalitarian feminism to be asked to be called women in place of "girls" or "females". I'm 30, I'm not a dog, I'm a woman, not a girl or a female.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
