He doesn't view women as people, that's fundemantly what's driving his logic. He's going by the currently common male logic and what can most benfit him within his social circles, men see it as a status symbol for an older man to date younger women. It's digusting. It's basically how men always approach these topics, as though women are and object to be surveyed by them, they don't see the person so they automatically always go by physical appearance, since what use is an object beyond its 'inte…

You have to admit, a man who sets his age range at 18 and higher is only there because 18 is the legal cut-off point. He'd go lower if he could. Functionally, there isn't a whole world of difference in appearance between a 17 year old and 18, if men are chiefly concerned with physical appearance(and totally not utterly shallow because of this) then I don't see why they wouldn't be attracted to people younger than 18. I'm not sure I'd call that sort of thing pedophila, I think the right word is h…

Well, who would the man be protecting her from? If the answer is other men, then wouldn't that validate her worldview pretty handily?

Perfect satire. They won't understand it, though, and attack your logic without comprehending that they make the exact same arguments just with the genders reversed, lol. Every argument made by a man attempting to take apart your current position is them attacking themsleves lol.

I'm curious, did that study control for income? I've never read it personally, but I think it's a pretty obvious conclusion to draw that children have overall better outcomes in higher income households. Men, on average, make more than women, thus the statistic, unless I'm missing something. Do you have a link to study? I kinda want to read it.

How are they not getting it? lol, this is literally exactly how the men here talk about women. Logical inconsistency and emotional rhetoric are a fundamental part of these arguments, and of course, the men here only see that when they aren't making the argument themselves, lol. It's rage bait and trolling coming from you, but magically becomes perfectly rational and reasonable if the men are the ones saying it.

Emotional need, sure. I think it's a fair statement to make that human beings are happier with sexual and emotional intimacy on average. However, sex isn't a physical need. Like, I've never even had sex and I'm mostly fine lol, lonely, but I've never understood why so many men get so obsessed with it.

I mean, it might be easier to get attention as a woman, but I can tell you now it's not always good attention. Though that isn't really what we are discussing. I guess what I'm having trouble understanding is how does that connect to your previous statements of trans women transitioning because it's easier to be a woman. If the reason you believe women have it easier is primarily because of the comparative ease they have with finding men willing to date/have sex with them, then what about people…

As a transsexual, I trasntioned because my body was a living hell to exist in. How I was treated as a male had literally no bearing on my decision to transition. I just wanted the pain to stop and transition has helped immensely in that regard.

https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1HaFOPLxhqAS94hD9AuiVRd6jW0HesdvnIzWBRxvc-_Q/mobilebasic Here's several studies discussing brain sex in transsexuals and the benefits of transtion/hrt. Most transsexuals have a brain that is quite similar to someone of their desired sex. Obviously, there's a lot of variance, but I think it's fairly reasonable to assume my brain is at minimum atypical for a male. Though that wasn't really my point, all I was really trying to explain is that fundamentally, my…

I'm transsexual, I've been transitioning for nearly 3 years at this point and have experience with both hormones. I can say with some confidence that neither men nor women are more emotional than the other. Estrogen and testosterone just encourage the expression of different types of emotions. The level of irrationality in my decision-making process has remained constant throughout my transtion. Just to explain what I mean a bit better, with testosterone, I was far more aggressive and quick to a…

I'm a trans woman. One thing I will say, is that random people are a lot nicer to me when they perceive me as a woman. I'm not fully passing, but I'm close People smile more, are more accepting of my mistakes, are far more willing to help me physically. I work a manual job that interacts with customers, and I get a lot of help with lifting heavier things. Which is nice because I've lost most of my strength. Other women are also a lot more relaxed around me and start random conversations. Even pe…

Well could it be that some of the gay men are less likley to see women as objects. I've seen this pattern at my job a million times, any conversation/friendship between a straight woman and man of equivalent age invariably falls apart because the man lacks self-control and tries to turn everything sexual Gay men don't have that impulse and are more able to appreciate women as people over sexual objects.

I completely agree, I've noticed this sort of thing from a very young age. My cousin has 3 small children, 2 girls and a boy. There is a night and day difference between behavior that's split down gender lines. The girls are relatively well-behaved, and quiet while the boy is stereotypically aggressive and becomes violent when he isn't given what he wants. Originally, I thought this was due to personality differences, but then I had the chance to watch my cousin and her partner parent their chil…

Honestly, yeah, The line can be really blurred sometimes. My sister, for example, is extremely violent and quite strong. I've watched her literally launch herself into an ex who tried hitting her. She knocked him to the ground and hit him in the face until he stopped resisting. That's not to say she was stronger, strictly speaking, I think it was mostly the ex being completely caught off guard and her being strong enough to at least contest him. Human beings are human beings, stronger or not. Yo…

Maybe the way men act and treat women broadly is part of why women don't automatically trust them. I'm just not sure how someone can participate in this sub and not be aware of this. On some days, there are dozens of comments where men completely dehumnanize women. Not to say purplepilldebate is a perfect representation of men as a whole, but the fact that this dehumanizing tendency exists at all, is concerning enough.

Like men aren't equally uniform. Just talk to any random man, and his hobbies will likely consist of screaming at the TV or working on cars or one of any other stereotype ascribed to men. He'll undoubtedly be obsessed with women in one way or the other, though, of course, this nearly universal fixation wouldn't be used as an example of male uniformity, at least in the pejorative way that Op is describing women. Instead, it will be described as an innate part of being male and never discussed aga…

God, the comments are proving your point. The worst example of this is when men( especially here) try to 'explain' to women how they feel and act as though they have a better understanding of women than women themselves do.

You're being pedantic. When people say they were used for sex, they are referencing a common phenomenon experienced by women, where a man will heavily imply or outright say that they want a relationship with said women, then leave the second she has sex with him. The deception and lying is the problem, not the sex itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 11:51 AM

Right, any less shallow than men who, according to the majority opinion on this sub, only go after physical appearance. At least women tend to value things that are a result of one's personal achievements and growth.

Accountability for what? Being duped by shitty men? If a man lies to and manipulates a woman in order to get sex for example, in what part of that singular situation would she need to take accountability. It would be one thing if it happened constantly, but even then, it's not the direct fault of the victim in this context. Sure, you could say she should be more aware. Maybe she should, but that doesn't magically erase what the man in this hypothetical did. The man still actively choose to lie a…

I mean, don't many Redpill arguments assume some fundamental inferiority of women? "Women are the oldest teenager in the house" comes to mind as a starting example Like I haven't done all the research possible, though the way a lot of redpill logic seems to follow is that men are an unchanging constant with women being 100% responsible for navigating this created environment. The whole chad-average man dichotomy is a decent example of this. Not that I agree with the supposition, but suppose Wome…

I'd say it depends on the relative threat to himself. Some women are exceptionally strong and could serve as genuine threats to his physcial well-being, same as if another man of equivalent strength attacked him. However, in many cases, unless the woman is armed, the gap in strength between the sexes is vast enough where the man isn't really in any genuine danger. Though this also applies to men vs. men as well, people should be using the minimum force required to defend themselves just because …

Certainly a more nuanced conversation than I originally expected. I appreciate the perspective you've given me. I'm honestly in majority agreement with you. I don't disagree. If we are talking about having a broad emotional spectrum, then women would be more 'emotional' than men. My emotions beside rage are more intense. It's honestly a great feeling. Though I thought we were talking more in how most people interpret the male vs female emotion debate. Of men having emotions that don't inhibit their judgment as much as the ones experienced by women, which hasn't been my experience at all.

I can't agree. I just want to preface this by saying that I am a single person and my experience shouldn't be taken as absolute fact. However, I'm transsexual, I've experienced both hormonal mixes, and I don't really think it's a matter of one sex being more emotional than the other. Testosterone and estrogen encourage the expression of different emotions, combined with social conditioning, you have the standard archetypes that men and women oftentimes fall into. With Testosterone I was more agg…

Glad I'm not the only transsexual on this forum. Experiencing both hormonal mixes can certainly impart a unique understanding of the differences between men and women. My experience is similar to yours if reversed. Oddly enough, it always seemed as though I had a lower interest in sex than the other boys. Part of me wonders if it has anything to do with differences in male-female brain structure regardless of hormones. However, I have one slight point of disagreement, I don't exactly think the f…

I don't understand this reasoning? The framing of the question seems really narrow, I mean we can talk about the inherent biological advantages and disadvantages of male and female bodies. Though seems like your trying to make a social point about some sort of inherent virtue in socially-complaint men. That being able to restrain violent urges is something commendable. I don't think it's fair to frame a uniquely male trait/problem as a universal way to measure social contribution. Just because w…

I feel like this oversimplifies things slightly. I agree that the male obsession with obtaining sex can make devolping genuine romantic attraction/attachment to someone more difficult. Though I really don't think it's fair to blame men individually. The reality is, male expectations of behavior discourage men from developing close social relationships outside of a romantic context. Because of this, many men exist in a transient state of emotional starvation. Without a romantic partner of some so…

Normally yes, though the amount of lubrication is normally not as much as most cis women. I've heard of some people reporting that the lubrication can cause the vagina to be partially self-cleaning. Though I'm not sure how true this is. Things are still in an experimental phase and will hopefully improve as time goes on. Regardless, it's interesting just how much progress has been made in the past few years/decades.

The main one that I know of is a recently adapted one called the Peritoneal pull through. The procedure is similar to the most commonly used technique for trans women called penile inversion, basically the penis is inverted and used as a base for a vaginal canal, skin from the scrotum is then grafted to the interior. Where the Peritoneal method differs is that the lining of the vagina is derived from tissue found in the abdomen. This allows for self-lubrication in some cases. Though it isn't gua…

Boys could try controlling themselves Weird how that's never offered up as a solution when discussing any problem that has to do with male of female behavior. It's always that the system needs to change to benefit boys, rather than boys just adapting.

Therapy is becoming more common, though there is still an immense amount of stigma preventing men from seeking out the help they need. I think if we encourage distressing men to attend Therapy, and try to lower the titanic amount of social pressure for men to automatically try come up with short-term solutions rather than fixing the underlying/broader issue. We would see a reduction in suicide across the board

How can you not see how abusive this is. I doubt this is real, but if these women are financially dependant on your uncle then they don't have much choice on obeying him or not. It has nothing to do with 'female nature' they are stuck in a position akin to slavery depending upon the cultural context.

I'd say it depends upon how we define horny in this context. If we are talking about just a general leve/persistence of sexual desire I would say that yes men are more horny. At least as a group. Though I'd also argue that women are capable of substantially more intense sexual impulses/levels of arousal than men are. If we'd define being horny as who has the most individually intense desires. Women would then be more horny.

I think part of the problem is your viewing the sexual revolution as a personal ideology which all women(or most) in this current cultural context follow. (If I'm misunderstanding you I apologize) I'd argue it's less about how men and women fundamentally view sex and more of women having the freedom to experiment sexually which wasn't truly possible before the advent of birth control. Individual attitudes probably aren't too different fundamentally. There are some women who are open to occasiona…

I feel as though this claim is only true if you look at things through a lense of sex being one of the most important things one can have. Like I'm aware your likely of the mindset that the average woman has dozens of sexual partners at a young age and such. Though most women(in my experience) are more concerned with relationships than sex. Sex is much easier for women to obtain yes, but why is that relevant? The issue is certainly more nuanced than any one single explanation. Though I'd say it's mostly a matter of social expectations combined slightly with biology. Men and women process and express emotions differently, however, society tends to view 'emotions' as crying or general distress. Rage and extreme sexual desire are not considered emotions in this context. Which essentially makes women the emotional ones by default. Though only with this specific, uncharitable framing. Men and women are eq…

I'm a transsexual woman. At one point I've had fairly high levels of testosterone(750ish) yet somehow I was able to live my life fairly normally without constantly obsessing over sex. If you’re not a transsexual what would you really know about the difference. I'm transsexual too, For me, I have more sexual desire on estrogen than I ever did with testosterone. I agree on the personal responsibility bit. I just wonder to what extent, it's one thing to blame a person for doing something life threatening on purpose, it's another to blame a woman for being sexually harassed. I find a lot of times women are told that avoiding sexual harassment is their responsibility and that men just can't stop themselves. That's where my problem is centered. I wish people in general were better.
