Um, no, I don't think I do. So I guess I'm probably the exception. But I didn't/don't have a large friend base, so it's a small sample size.

I would say yes, a relationship can work if it's initiated by a woman. My previous relationship lasted 20 years, and I'd say I was the one who did most of the pursuing. He was a workaholic, so I did most of the initiation in getting things going. We were introduced by a mutual friend. If I hadn't continued pursuing him, we wouldn't have become a couple.

Ah, I see. Yes, I'm sure that an obvious overture on the woman's part would be of great benefit to you. If I may, my advice would be to try to make yourself more approachable (unless you already are) by making eye contact, having a neutral or positive expression on your face, maybe even a smile, use neutral body language (no crossed arms), and maybe even try to subtly mimic a woman's facial expression or body language. Thank you, I appreciate your compliments :) I think why I'm so open to approaching a guy like that is that I'm okay with possible rejection.
