Made the mistake of downloading dating apps as well, I prefer cold approaching because it's more organic but thought why the hell not. It is so much worse than I thought it would have been.

I have noticed this too. Asking for male stereotypes while there is no conforming for them. Rules for thee but not for me. Been back on the dating market for like 2 months, I'm already done. Wading through shit to find a diamond isn't worth it to me.

It happens, wanted to share my story since it's not represented enough. I'm doing great though, thank you!

Yes, those kinds of men frustrate me. I believe it comes from the mentality of having sex increases your worth as a man. These views seem to stem from younger men who have little to no experience or men who have a one dimensional view of themselves and masculinity as a whole. I was groomed at ages 13 and 15 by two women. One was in her earlier twenties, the other in her earlier thirties. My older brother who is nearly twice my age encouraged this but frowned on me later on as I got older if I da…

Terrifying and repulsive that women like her are even allowed to procreate.

While I can understand the impact of not having a good relationship regarding parents, you don't get to just excuse behavior away. I was raised in a terrible home, and I developed problems because of it that I addressed for myself. At the end of the day we are responsible for ourselves, your girlfriend is no different. If she wants to change her perspective and grow as a person, then she will. You can't make her do that though. Talking with her about this may give her a push to start thinking bu…

Reading this gives me hope but also breaks my heart. I'm glad your son has you, keep supporting him as much as you can, do what you can to make change. Speak up for boys and men, spread awareness, whatever you can. Wishing you and your boy the best.

Once I was able to move out, yes I did. Took me awhile but once I got out I went NC, been going great ever since.

I have experienced this myself. Mom and sister lied to the police and said I hit her when she punched me. Cop bashed my head into the wall when taking me outside, spent a night in county with addicts suffering from withdraw, COs threatening to break my fingers when I asked a question. Mom and sister trashed my bedroom and sold my belongings to pay for bail. I was 19. I learned a lot about the world from that one experience.

It's sounds like you're going through a hard time, not sure if my perspective will help but I'd like to share it. We live in a world where the material is the driving force, the definition for your worth as a person. This is more of a factor for men than it is for women, hence why you sense the judgement from others. It's not right, it's not fair, but it's the reality for a lot of men and you're feeling it. I just turned 29 this year, for 3-4 years I struggled with employment and my finances, be…

I have noticed this for a very long time, it's not just on this website, I've witnessed it in person also. These kind of men have no self respect, one thing I believe that plays into this mindset is the desire to be desired. If a man gives a woman what he thinks she wants, then he will be wanted by them. It's sad. These kinds of people of no sense of self, instead they create their identity based on the values and beliefs of the ones they crave attention and desire from, even if it means discard…

Agreed, banning others would make us no better than any of the feminist subs on this website. Just the other day there was someone in here under the guise of caring about men's rights but really they were just a feminist correcting and judging the real, lived experiences of men in this community. Spinning posts and replies as a way to suit their own narrative. I'm all for calling out bias, challenging thought with tangible data and facts. Problem is even if they're not a troll, the response is r…

There is not a single mention "all women are like this" or generalizations in the OPs post or any comments I've read replying to this post. You are taking the experiences of others and dressing it as a generalization to suit your narrative. Feminism isn't equality, egalitarianism is. Feminism doesn't advocate for male rights such as banning male genital mutilation, forced conscription, fixing the broken justice & family court system against men. Feminism doesn't advocate for justice against pate…

This is because women have gone unchecked for decades now, toxic traits, sexism, etc, it's all excused and allowed. Because of this, a sizeable amount of women, especially in western societies, have become what they are today and if you challenge it, you are attacked, the script is flipped onto you, and so on. I don't have a problem with women talking about men's mental health & rights, in fact I welcome it because we need more support. I've seen so many men at women's rights rallies, all the wh…

No, I'm calling you a douche because of the way you speak to people, your comment here only proves that further. I agreed with you on the effects echo chambers have, I commended your intentions, and yet you still speak the way you do, I suggest you evaluate your tone if you don't want to come across as hostile or rude. You talk of reducing echo chambers and yet there are plenty of those out there, especially in relation to feminism and all that and yet you chose to come here and correct men or t…

While I agree with you on the negative effect echo chambers have on communities, I can't help but wonder why don't you go try to battle that same problem in subreddits that pertain to your gender and issues. There are plenty of female based subreddits that exude the echo chamber mentality far more than this one does so why aren't you battling it there? I find it ironic that you're calling out the commenter with a somewhat hostile attitude while if a man tried doing what you're doing in the numer…

I'm vehemently against forced conscription, it shouldn't exist. Countries who do have it should include both male and female troops, full stop. Society shouldn't accept sending men to their deaths while women avoid it. Men are human beings too, although the world tends to forget this.

I'm pro choice but the luxury of choice only falls on women. Whether or not the man is ready to be a father, or even wants to be, she can decide to keep it and he is forced to be a caregiver or an ATM. I believe if she can choose to keep or abort the fetus then the man should be able to opt out; a paper abortion. It's only equal and fair. Most people who consider themselves pro choice hate this idea. Feminism is equality huh? I think not.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
