Marriage is a beautiful thing, with the right person. I just divorced and the only thing I would change is I would have a prenup and make the marriage a covenant one.

I like the car example. You’re right about messing up all the plans. I feel like a huge monkey wrench was thrown to mess up my whole system.

Well said. I like the car example. It really did put a monkey wrench in all my plans.

Appreciate that. You always wonder if the right choice was made.

Life gets better brother. I am going through my divorce for the same reasons. My former MIL and SIL are satan in human form. My former MIL told me to my face she is going to ruin my marriage and a week later it be came true. I moved back to my parent’s house (35 M) and was recently laid off. When it rained on me, it poured. I felt the same way you are now. I felt worthless with no sense of any life in me, so what is the point? You need to keep yourself busy and start going to the gym. Some days …

Take your time with things, overcome one obstacle at a time. I am getting a divorce (recent) to a woman I never imagined leaving. I am not going to lie I was tore up and broken, but the more time I spend away from her and reflect, the more I am realizing that I dodged a major bullet. Better to pass it now, then live a lifetime in misery. Take things slow brother. You will overcome.

I can relate. Just filed for divorce no kids and moved back with my parents. I am sad but have no emotion. I have a support system but feel alone. It’s an awkward state to be in. I haven’t gotten to social media or the dating apps, and actually dreading them. Just take one day at a time and try not to get too caught up in a sad state, but just know It will sting for a bit.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
