Fair comments, in my country it seems the life expectancy gap is quite high for a developed country. I agree with you men and women both have their issues that we should work on addressing these and be sympathetic towards both of the sexes, but I worry about framing things symmetrically. I don't believe the issues men and women have in western society are equal, particularly in regards to the dating landscape, women have enormous advantages over their male equivalent. If you were to read nothing…

Some of my thoughts on your post. I can empathise with you on some of these issues, but I think actually this is another case of women having it better and men's issues being downplayed and swept under the rug. The domains of health, mental health and criminal victim experience are actually worse for the average guy moreso than the average woman, but issues in these domains are more likely to be reported by women as well as taken more seriously when reported by women. To start in regards to preg…

Yep I guess these are standard red/black talking points, I think you're preaching to the choir here. Any guy who has used a dating app has had to confront the reality that the birds and bees are not anywhere near equal. The average woman's quality of life is 10000% better than the average mans.

I'm not sure how anyone can still think like this? the OLD data has blown this kind of stuff out of the water. "confidence" and "good posture" aren't the cause of most men's dating issues.

As someone who loves their dog your dad sounds fucking horrible. I think most of if not all the population have some kind of mother/father wound that they need to work through whether they are aware of it or not. I'm not sure it's even possible to completely work through these things. https://dharmawisdom.org/healing-your-mother-or-father-wound/

Yeah I completely disagree here, don't think the math backs this up. Male fertility being so strong across the lifespan is one of the main reasons the dating market is so competitive for men. In regards to the wall I agree an old granny probably has more options on tinder than like like a 6/10 guy.

If you look at the numbers its a small statistical risk. Most men are still able to father healthy children into older ages. Honestly this comes across as some kind of revenge fantasy cope by FDS types that you don't have the same freedom with your life that men do. There's a comment here on the 10 yr old article you linked which sums up pretty neatly why this is shit science: macinnes56 23 Aug 2012 7:02 9 This is appalling journalism of the shoddiest standard. Any good reporting of risk starts …

Disagree, most of the guys I know who have done very well with women are just attractive, many of them are not masculine/dark triad at all and most have never set foot in a gym. I think reasonable self improvement is fine. Becoming a roided gym junky just to get a shred of female attention is not reasonable self improvement imo. In comparison if you're a drug addict working on recovering from your addiction is reasonable self improvement. Personally if I can't attract someone who genuinely is in…

In my case it's a combination of extreme introversion and not being that great looking. I'm around 3rd percentile on extraversion on the big 5 as well as around 5 in looks, so I don't meet a ton of women outside of work, particularly now I'm in my 30's, and the ones I do meet usually aren't that interested. Failing in this part of life also caused me some extreme mental health issues in my teens and twenties, I ended up having somewhat of a mental breakdown at 25. Thankfully I am recovered from …

From my experience being friends with a couple guys who are super attractive in the 9-10 range both of them are actually LTR focused, but I think it's actually women who send these guys down a more promiscuous path. Both these 9 - 10 /10 men were aggressively mate poached by average looking 5/10 women who offered sex within 5 minutes of meeting even when in serious LTRs or married. That said some of this group of men are probably just promiscuous by nature.

This really is a myth. Besides the porn data there is also recent research in psychology that shows women in general have more degrading fantasies than men, for example more women are into both the submissive and dominant aspects of BDSM than men: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2watIpG02to Women as a whole are actually more sexually perverse than men, although most pedos, rapists etc are men. Men are worse in the extreme minority.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
