The problem with this theory is it requires homosexuals to sacrifice themselves (as far as NS is concerned, you are just the sum of your descendants) for the good of the species. This isn't a good strategy evolutionary speaking. Natural Selection is rarely for a the good of the species because it works on an individual basis.
