I've mostly lived out my fantasies and that wasn't one of them. Then again I don't know what group of people "you" means here. Are the men in here a homogenous group? That said, I think you missed the point. No matter where you say this, it's obviously going to be true that "maintaining a stable of willing and loyal hotties is never going to be more than a fantasy for most of you" with the reasonable assumption that such things is something reserved for the top percentile.

This comes off a bit silly and bitter, but saying most of you are average (or to be accurate, not in the top percentile) doesn't have a very sharp edge. That's the expected random distribution.

About the same as I feel about any other silly frame of mind and self-improvement subreddit that just go a bit over the top. Probably a waste of time, just hit the treadmill, don't overeat and be clear about what you want. That's it. You know every now and then the nerds, or whatever they are, will have some new thing where they dress up and talk funny and live vicariously through constructed fantasy characters. Like when LOTR was a big thing. All these places seem like those kinds of people dec…

I'd date them and have, but then I don't really date to pursue a serious relationship.

Worth it fuck no It would need to work as passive income to be worth it. I'd expect it is definitely not quick and easy money, but a long term investment that might pay off. However the market seems oversaturated with this kind of stuff, making it pretty hard to compete.

I have a hard time believing the women who say such things about men also are outraged that some kind of male separatism exists. That said, male separatism, really doesn't exist. Men purporting to be mgtow or what have you, but then spend their time posting endless rants are more annoying parrots than anything else. I once had to care for a parrot that had picked up on the n-word. It wasn't that outrageous that he said the n-word, but that he said it a dozen times for every minute in an hour. Th…

I often wonder how OF can make anyone any money at all. Why not just go to a prostitute or an escort and pay for sex. I'd expect it's pretty hard to make any meaningful money out of OF because the men who are willing to spend a decent amount will just go buy actual sex. For comparison $150-$180 is about one hour of fucking in Europe. That means a prostitute will make way more and a casual one can take one hour out of their month to easily beat any OF content creator.

The reason so many men complain about women having careers and “not being feminine anymore” is that many women don’t want to do so much of that feminine stuff either… especially not when it’s become so clear how little men appreciate and respect it. I think it's a bit inflated how many men really complain about that; a vocal minority I think. There's also only so much appreciation and respect could do for something that just plain sucks to do. That'a why I think we're going to see an increasing …

I think men's body count is called into question a bit more if there's a lot of prostitutes involved.

I think your views may be skewed by the places you frequent as I can't really seem to find such sentiments in almost any discussion nor see it confirmed in every facet of society. People are more realistic about men's prospects. They hold back about women's. Like how people go silent when a severely disabled person asks "if I work really hard, maybe I could do a somersault like that". It feels wrong to give a realistic and negative response to that. Of course the two are not really comparable si…

Women have always been part of a workforce, but now it's been formalised and the ideal is that they can freely choose what work they want to do. Prior women had zero value to a lot of activities and professions, now they do. As much as women have been liberated in choosing, men have too (e.g. in choosing not to have a traditional life). Men being breadwinners was more or less the expectation, but this role wasn't one all men wanted. I don't think a lot of men want to be breadwinners, nor be care…

I'm interested in hearing how it affects women and how it affects men, if you could explain.

Since it's usually men who say this, I'd like to hear your perspective on how you think this changes you. Do you think it changes either sex the same way? Maybe some background would be interesting, like are you or did you grow up religious and etc.

If you spent more time doing what you see works rather than arguing in here you'd be further towards your goals.

I've managed that, but it takes quite a few attempts. Odds get better if it's on a weekend in a bar. Odds further improved when the woman was hormonal. That said you'll have to be prepared for similarly weird responses when you're basically taking a chance on someone you know nothing about.

I think for your case going to places like reddit should qualify as self-harm. Just by going out and doing fun things you'll probably increase your odds astronomically.

I have a bit of a hard time following how that argument applies beyond its setting, but I agree with the conclusion for another reason. I don't really subscribe to the beta/alpha thing but for argument's sake; the alpha is some kind of unique man with special qualities and the rest is everyone else. Who's going to reproduce the most? The 2-3 men or the 200-300 men?

Is this intentional comedy?

Well we also have a society many places where the financial assets of two people means a quality of life that is liveable. At least for the lower middle class and under. That means people who might not really be enjoying each other's company feel stuck together. Not to detract from the sunk cost fallacy, I think that's surely also a common problem too.

The give you a chance bit is a bit weird. Makes it seem like something besides being interested or not. I think it's important to know that when you're trying to buy/hire/acquire you're also selling yourself. Which employer would you choose, the one who opened with "why should we give you a chance?" or the one who opened with "tell us about yourself".

Haven't given it much serious thought either way. Maybe there's some who think it's a good idea, maybe not. I don't think the group of people who attach themselves to the label of feminism is a homogenous one. It would be interesting to mine data using such questions though, to try to chart out what opinions the group has.

Surely in this hypothetical all men are greek gods or whatever it is that women have selected men for.

Let's for argument sake say women do end up selecting assholes. I doubt they prefer assholes, but could be prioritising other traits in men before agreeableness (or whatever is the collection asshole traits). That doesn't mean they prefer assholes in a meaningful sense. Just like if you get to pick between a beautiful but mean woman and an ugly but kind woman and you pick the former. That doesn't necessarily mean you prefer mean over kind, but that you prefer beautiful over kind. When all else i…

I think one oft cited thing is Sally Miller Gearhart, with her I) Every culture must begin to affirm a female future. II) Species responsibility must be returned to women in every culture. III) The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race. And that it suggests male genocide etc. I don't really agree because such population control can be done without any murder, just abortion or pre-selection. When you think about it I doubt any male would object…

I was slightly interested in whether there are some coherent objections or opposition, but I think this sub is more concerned with extreme elements and groups rather than the ideology or philosophy. Along with a lot of trolls. That feminists, people attached to the label, are a bunch of twats stands to reason; they're just a group of people too with their usual human failings.

Was it said as comedy, satire or hyberbole like "kill all men"? In any case I really dislike such manners of speaking, true or false. Don't like Jimmy Carr either who does comedy in a similar vein. Interesting wikipedia page on him, but it's hard to judge when possibly nuances are lost. That aside this guy is clearly a controversial figure and let's say there's nothing more to him than how he's cited by you or wikipedia. In that case I'd suspect this is a troll post and an obvious red herring.

Gender and gender ideology focused subs tend to devolve into a bunch of trolls trying their best to rile up the opposition.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
