I'm starting to think I was blind or lazy at least. There's more going on in my city for one with my interests than I thought. I guess I need to take my time and look around a bit. Explore my city from a different perspective and maybe I'll meet much more compatible girls. I'm starting to understand the importance of demographics (and yes, Models by Mark Manson stresses that point a lot but I underestimated it)

I guess that makes sense. I need to hone my social skills a bit though. The awkwardness part worries me less than in the past. Experience shows me a lot of examples where just being friendly lets you have semi-normal social interactions even if you aren't really social calibrated. Most people are friendly with you if you are in the same context(like school or a social event or things like that) and try with a bit of small talk. It doesn't have to be nothing different from the usual "get to know …

nice article, I think I know where I could ask if I want to find someone who share the same interests. I thought a lot and I have some possibilities like -finding on facebook if there are meetings for people passionate about comics/manga, books, sci-fi, fantasy or something like that; -picking up something more artsy, like a drawing or photography class; -trying ballrom dancing, since it looks fun and helps developing confidence. The rest is about developing confidence and well, maybe that's the…

there was one such event, a comic con, this weekend and I went there with my friends as I often do, so I had the easy way out of socializing with others. I could try more of those events, socialising more in my niche, finding the girls who share the same interests, but maybe becoming a more well rounded individual would help.

I don't know what I am because I feel that right now I lack core values, a true sense of self and of my worth so I can't tell if this is my personality or just a coping mechanism, an escape from a reality I'm afraid of experiencing fully. I'm thinking trying new things because I feel stuck in a rut. Something that forces me to interact is better

that's a good idea, one that I can only try next year though because I don't think there are courses starting in May

I was going to write a wall of text but my browser crashed and I haven't got the patience to write everything again, so I'll be brief. I spent many years studying hard and gaming (the other interests are more recent) and I had next to no social life. Then one summer I swallowed the red pill and I realized I were alone and the few friends I had were really toxic friends. So I began to open up more to those around me and saying no fewer times to social evens. But with my realisation came strong se…

you've got a point there. I know that I need social calibration to have a chance to get some results. and with poor social skills I won't get anywhere. I'm already working on that. Surely that will help me. But I can't help but think that I will be perceived as uncool for my interests or my mindset. I don't know how to convey them in the best possible way and maybe the fact that I'm not comfortable with myself, as jayhovaasmywitness said is one of the greatest obstacles I'm facing right now.

why not? As for reducing the anxiety, meditation is a long-term fix, but for on the spot fixes you might want to learn about grounding techniques. The concept is simple: focus your attention on what you see, here,smell... If you keep doing it every time you find yourself overthinking you should be able to to it with ease after a while.(maybe weeks. I don't know, it depends on how much you tend to be in your head in the first place)

How many alpha do yo think there are in this world? What are your critera to distinguish an alpha from a beta? You could say "dominant body language" or "Being confortable around women",..The truth is that people, especially those who are influenced by the concept of ALPHA which have been created in the PUA world only for marketing purposes,(they to make you feel you are less so that you buy their products and they often propose quick fixes) think that being alpha is manly a matter of body langu…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
