I disagree. I believe that opinions, by nature, cannot possibly impinge on peoples’ “rights and freedoms”. They’re just opinions, not laws. Laws and ONLY laws have the backing and enforcement required to actually impinge on rights and freedoms. It is literally not possible for an opinion to do so.

They should not be changed. There’s nothing wrong with them as they are, and they have afforded us more freedoms and legal protections than anywhere else on earth for the last 250 years. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially when what you’re suggesting would, in some way, remove people’s freedoms. I did not in any way suggest that somehow a persons’ illness was more “important” than the person themselves. But regardless, “offended” culture is dumb. There’s no reason imo to change WORDS sim…

Who exactly would “act upon it”? Who? Would the UN somehow INVADE the untied states? Sounds like a complete joke.

International laws are largely not acted upon within the domestic policy of first world nations. And they CERTAINLY aren’t enforced by law enforcement bodies within the countries. In the United States at least, the constitution is as high as the law goes for the purposes of internal-stuff. All stop. End of the line.

I’m not talking about human rights. In the United States we have constitutional LEGAL rights. Completely separate from human rights, because human rights aren’t NEARLY as scrutinized and untouchable as legal rights are. And what do you mean “mental defective” is a bad term? It gets the point across, doesn’t it? And it’s even more of a “blanket” term than mentally ill. You can have something mentally wrong with you without being mentally ill, and my wording accounts for that. And the government d…

Being challenged and being “acceptable” are not the same thing. Challenging something produces a counter argument. Saying something is “unacceptable” does not. It just completely negates someone’s opinion without any data to back YOU up.

No dude. I’m not being sarcastic. I do not believe that the BBC is fake news. Quite on the contrary, actually. In the United States, the BBC is actually regarded as one of the “less political” English-language news sources that we can get. Every other news source is just a political talking head party, wether that be right wing on Fox News, or left wing on every other news. And the point is not that the federal government “is Hitler”. It’s not. Hence no current civil war. The point of the second…

So on your first point, I think there was a misunderstanding: I’m not saying that gun ownership should/shouldn’t be mandatory. What I’m saying is that firearm education cannot be mandatory. THAT would be an infringement on their rights; you don’t/shouldn’t have to have a required education of any sort to be able to use your constitutional rights. That being said, of course, the more the merrier. But it can’t be required. And regarding your last paragraph, I’ll start with a question: do you, ther…

It doesn’t require ANY manual gymnastics to be one of the 100-million-plus gun owners in the US. It’s quite simple actually: If someone wants to rob my house, or injure or kill me, I want to be able to kill them FIRST in order to save myself and/or my family members. Seems pretty simple to me. And it’s simply untrue to think that “if someone wants you dead, they’ll shoot you before you touch your gun”. That may be true if their ONLY purpose is to kill you, with no other objective, and their smar…

Wait. So you’ve actually MADE guns? As in MANUFACTURED, not ASSEMBLED. Because piecing together an AR15 does not count as “homemade”. When you simply build an AR, the serialized part (lower) is made in a factory somewhere, and is an existing firearm. Keep that in mind. But regardless, it doesn’t REALLY matter in the grand scheme either way, simply due to the extreme rarity of guns that people have actually manufactured themselves. Even 80%’s are only a TINY part of the market.

Entertain me this hypothetical: If the dude DIDNT dox this person, and all he did was protest against them, would you STILL think he deserves to be criminally charged? And if so, why? But yeah, the doxxing is baaad. The guy DID deserve what he got. At no time did I say that he DIDNT, given these specific circumstances. That being said, he should be charged for the DOXXING, not the “hate language” related stuff. Nor should a state-level “human rights board” even exist.

What do you mean lying? What exactly am I lying about here? This, plus you thinking that I’m intentionally responding to YOU and ONLY YOU, what’s next dude? You’re really paranoid man. REALLY paranoid. And ok, so that’s even more to my point. You NEED the mj so much that you went out and got it from a doctor instead. Here in the US at least, the reason that most people get prescribed mj is because they simply want it for fun and can’t get it otherwise, or want a legal way to get it. I remember r…

Actually, I smoke sometimes. I have no problem with it. BUT from your stuff, being that you were in a panic when they closed the weed shops, seems to me like you are CONSTANTLY high. Never a good mix with guns. And yes, CBD obviously doesn’t get you high. But if your buying just plain leaf, that obviously contains a bunch of THC. And if you were ONLY buying products containing CBD, you wouldn’t need a weed shop to get them. So obviously you are therefore consuming THC on a constant basis, to the…

One thing I’ve been wondering: how is it that you have owned “a bunch of firearms and cannons” being that you live in the Netherlands, where that kind of thing is, for the most part, not allowed? And also, you’re a pretty serious stoner; do you believe that having intoxicating drugs and guns/cannons together is a good idea?

Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), is a landmark case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to keep and bear arms, unconnected with service in a militia, for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home, and that the District of Columbia's handgun ban and requirement th…

Now you’re talking about two different things. You’re clearly not a gun guy if you don’t know what an NFA item is. Here’s the quick summary: NFA items are short barreled shot guns, short barreled rifles, suppressors, and destructive devices. Those aren’t what I’m talking about. I’m talking about normal, over the counter firearms. And yes, you’re reinforcing my point. Says right there that the militia is “any able bodied man...etc”. So yeah, the militia is EVERYBODY.

What? That’s not true in the SLIGHTEST. You can absolutely, 100%, go and legally privately sell a homemade firearm in the United States. Where the heck did you get that idea?? This is the relevant text from the GCA of 1968: “A gun explicitly made for personal use can be sold or transferred in the same way that a factory-made firearm of that same class can be sold or transferred.” Plus, why are we even discussing a topic of “creating your own firearm” when that’s probably 0.00000000001% of firear…

Guns suddenly start to SOLVE a lot of your problems when your government starts to become your oppressors. Which is the ENTIRE POINT of the second amendment, by the way. In Europe, if you’re government became tyrannical, you’d have no conceivable way to mount an armed resistance against them. We would. That’s the point. Remember, Adolf Hitler disarmed the Jews just before he started sending them to camps. And that was only in the double-digits of years ago. Plus, there are WAY WAY more defensive…

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard in a while. Should kitchen knives be labeled “knives are sharp”? Should cars be labeled “can go fast enough to kill someone”? Should all food be labeled “swallowing items may cause suffocation”? OBVIOUSLY not. It’s the fun concept called “common sense”. I’m saying that the fact that that ONE extremely specific and overwhelmingly uncommon occurrence happening does IN NO WAY mean that the United States is “devoid of freedom” as you’re suggesting. What you’re saying is LAUGHABLY overdramatic. It would be akin to saying “you can’t get away with speeding in a village in the UK, so try to tell me that the UK is a free country!” See? I agree. BUT it cannot be “mandatory” for gun ownership. If it was, you would be infringing upon people’s rights. But overall, yes, I agree with “the more the merrier” on education. I said “that doesn’t infringe on people’s rights”. What you’re suggesting DOES infringe on people’s rights. And in America, for your rights to be legally infringed upon, you have to have due process. So basically you’re suggesting one of two things, either: infringe upon people’s rights illegally, or: put people on trial for having suicidal thoughts. Plus, how are people with suicidal thoughts hurting anyone? They aren’t. And they don’t deserve, and haven’t earned, to have their rights stripped …

Well, for one thing, most European countries LITERALLY DO NOT have constitutionally enumerated rights that CANNOT be taken from you. In the US, we do. And you have to be convicted in a court of law via due process for the government to be able to infringe upon those rights. Europe by in large doesn’t have that. Your freedoms CAN be infringed upon largely at the discretion of the government WITHOUT any due process being completed. And keep in mind what I said: I said “FREEDOMS” not “FREEDOM”. Tha…

Yes, we have problems. Every country has problems. So what, it’s not like any given country in the world isn’t the worst at SOMETHING. That being said, one of the problems we DONT have to worry about is personal freedoms. The US has, by a LARGE margin, the highest levels of individual freedoms of anywhere on the planet. Bar NONE. He’s not in a relationship any more! His stay at home trophy wife is trying to take half his wealth in the divorce. Because he used to be a book nerd and didn’t make a prenup. Like a dumbass. But it’s lookin like she’ll only get $10B. That’s $10B more than she deserves, but at least it’s not $55B.

Earned is a very loose word. Did he do labor/actions to get himself to a position where he has $100B? Yes. Obviously. It’s not stolen. Did he do ALL the labor? No. Obviously not.

2 things. 1) this dude is not at fault. She is. 2) don’t go to prison over something as dumb as this.

What beer is that?

Yeah. Honestly if they backed me into a corner like that I’d think it would be totally understandable to pull out a gun.

I feel like this isn’t the full story on either case.

Could you be more specific?

Lol this is really funny but I feel like outsiders to this sub would see this post and call the entire community mysoginistic. Just be careful!

I see. Thank you for the clarification.

Ok so the kid didn’t die if the burns. The kid died of the infections FROM the burns. Even worse if you ask me. Burns without fentanyl. Then multi system organ failure without opioids OR sedation.

I don’t get why states ban the death penalty. Yes, people will inevitably get sentenced to death while innocent. But people also get life in prison without parole and are innocent. Arguably a worse sentence, and no states ban that. I’ve heard of multiple stories of inmates intentionally killing one another to get on death row so that they can be dead and not in prison anymore.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the article here. What’s the cause of death? Is it not “boiling and skin falling off”?

Ah lmao ya true.

Right. And for a tow to fall off that means ligaments and tendons would have to get so hot that they loose cellular junctions. Which requires A. LOT. of heat. I bet that they boiled the child (in actual BOILING water) for hours to achieve this. Luckily the kid probably drowned pretty quickly. And they were just cooking a dead body at that point.

The point that the guy is trying to make is that women and men have separate prisons and the culture varies widely. In a male prison, you may just gas the person straight up. Might not be the same in a women’s prison.

Anything less than a death sentence is a pass

Yeah that’s not true. If someone was in my house maliciously, I’d absolutely shoot them. I wouldn’t “not do anything”

Luckily, I bet the kid drowned relatively quickly vs the death caused by the burning.

If they really REALLY wanted the child dead, why didn’t they do something more humane, such as strangulation or GSW? What the fuck is the point of boiling a person to death, other than intentional torture? Doesn’t make logical sense.

The temperature required for skin blistering THAT BAD and “melting off” would be insane. Like think : “putting baby in boiling water” There’s no way the skin melting occurred just with a high temperature bath. That would cause 1st degree burns. For skin to melt is minimum 2nd degree burns, but for large amounts of skin would require mostly 3rd degree (or “full thickness”) burns.

Damn. Does her state not have the death penalty? Cause I’d say she’s a good candidate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
