Actually her ex, Sam, seems like a perfectly nice young man. She broke up with him years ago (high school?) and instead of getting angry, he consoled her because she was so upset. The reason she said they can all live together is because there's no resentment or lasting feelings for her and they're still best friends. I think he even has a new girlfriend. I'm not going to contest that it's weird or say it's something I'm personally interested in, but it seems like they are just trying to live th…

Haha, back in my Sailor Moon days, my older brothers and other kids used to call me Sailor Mars as if it was an insult. Pft, she was the most competent and emotionally resilient, thanks for the compliment. 💅

Friends, test, money. That doesn't sound too bad - I would love have more FDS-minded friends, go back to school to try a different career path (maybe in agriculture) and make more money so I can form relationships solely based on mutual benefit instead of survival.

But he said "hehe"! That means it's funny and I should be flattered that a man more than a decade older than me who only wants a casual sexual relationship (because his girlfriend has a disability) took the time to message me. /S

Haha! This reminded me of the time that a 45+ year old creep started trying to roast my looks over an ethical disagreement*. Meanwhile, he looked like he was smuggling a beach ball under his ill-fitted shirt and had never even heard the phrase "personal hygiene". He looked SO pleased with himself, but I was, and still am, baffled by his confidence. Why would I give a damn what he thinks? 😂 The whole experience was hilariously surreal. - I was arguing with a sexist/homophobic street preacher and …

Shockingly, he was in fact not a catch. He included a photo in the post and I remember him being grossly overweight with bad personal grooming/fashion and, as you can see from his reply, he isn't the most entertaining conversationalist. Poor boy.

The number of guys who think it's cute that they're looking for their "player 2" is too damn high. Seriously, and they don't even listen when you try to tell them that it's demeaning - no joke, look in my post history! I am exactly the kind of woman these guys are looking for and any mention of "player 2" is an immediate swipe left. Later, ya neckbeard bitches! Edit: Link for the luxurious - Wouldn't you know it, he deleted the post. Gosh. 💁‍♀️ https://reddit.com/r/cf4cf/comments/h88b9k/30m4f_ea…

Toothpaste on a burn is actually some 5 Minute Crafts lifehack nonsense. You should NOT put toothpaste on a burn. Instead, run it under cool water or soak it in cool water then put on some petroleum jelly. https://www.colgate.com/en-us/oral-health/life-stages/adult-oral-care/toothpaste-on-burns-does-this-home-remedy-work-0718-

Don't waste your energy being angry at the trolls. This post is probably fake (though let's face it, we all know men who think/act like this.) This comment is right on the money, I think: "Calling fake. Am an RN and you don't get a cancer diagnosis like this. A CT can show a mass, but it's just that... A mass on a CT. You need biopsy and staging, none of which happen in an ER. This is fake, or a troll, or both Worked in level 1 trauma center ER for 7+ years. Never once was someone dx with cancer…

Yeah, where did this "protector" nonsense even come from? My older brothers brought predators into the house and did zilch to reign them in or "protect" me from them. My eldest brother once told me to put on a bra because his friends were staring at me (r/bigboobproblems). When I told him I was already wearing a bra, he told me to put on another one. 🙄 Apparently that's easier than telling your creepy ass friends not to prey on your preteen sister. And another time when one his friends was tryin…

Amazing! I recently setup a video date, confirmed the time and the guy didn't tell me he had to push it back to over an hour later until 15 minutes after we were supposed to meet. I told him I wasn't interested in someone who doesn't have the manners or mental capacity to manage their schedule and blocked him after he started apologizing. Boy, I don't care about your problems. 😌

Preach! Your last paragraph especially resonated with me. When I first tried OLD, my friends were talking about how much fun it was, but I felt (and feel) bombarded by low effort, offensive and/or rude messages. While this behaviour is "normal" (common) that doesn't mean it's acceptable. I'm not "dramatic" or "difficult" or "rude AF" because I refuse to tolerate such treatment. Especially from someone who, for me at least, is supposed to occupy an important and intimate place in my life. Is it r…

I don't miss those days. At all. Sure, I got the most male attention of my life from 10-15 but it wasn't good attention. I never felt uplifted or positive about the attention, I felt vulnerable, uncomfortable and unsafe. Plus, the men who approached me were disgusting. Not just because they were pedophiles ("nOoOo, ThEy'Re EpHeBoPhiLeS" 🙄), but they were poorly groomed with bad hygiene, rude, inarticulate and/or very sexually explicit/repulsive. I was never attracted to them, but they never care…

I feel so sorry for women with strict cultural or religious pressure to get married and "care for" (read: baby) a husband. It's the only time I feel glad to be a godless orphan. 😂

This is so true. I was on a date once where he spoke extensively about his mother's death (as well as allllll the events/family drama leading up to it) and how his only solace was throwing himself into his post-doc. He then droned on for the remainder of the meal about theoretical physics and his research. I'll admit, he was very intelligent and well educated but it felt more like I had stumbled into office hours than a date. Oh, and the only question he asked me was "how're you" at the very beg…

At the very least, Onlyfans seems to put money into the hands of the content creators. Unlike Pornhub, which KNOWINGLY hosts actual rape videos and has strategically built their UI to give them plausible deniability. Remind me why we allow internet platforms to take 0% responsibility for their content when they take in 90+% of the profit?

Literally just got a message on POF from a 39 year old man (who wants kids!) whose profile talks about how he wants a "respectable female" for outings and how he isn't going to give you any money. That's it. Nothing about his hobbies, who he is or what makes him a good partner. No talk! Only give Feeeemales!!

Fucking Hinge. The "Like" feature is so low effort. Most men just like a photo without any kind of comment/greeting and expect that to somehow be an opener? Nah.

I feel a certain way reading this. Relieved, I guess? I'm a white woman who, god help me, has been using OLD and I am not exaggerating when I say that every message I have received from black male profiles has been disgusting, degrading or just plain low value. I have never dated a black person before (I don't have much dating experience, tbh), but I am honestly heistant to even consider it given these experiences and seeing the way they talk about women (see this "motivational" video that was l…

I forgot all about Sinfest! 🖤 It's really amazing how much the artist grew over time and the depth he eventually wrote into his stereotypically hot female characters. I'll have to go catch up on the Devil Woman emancipation arc.

It's actually scientifically supported that the average man does not consider a woman as equal unless the man is clearly favoured. Case in point, studies have shown that men perceive women as dominating or over contributing to a conversation when in fact they spoke the same amount as men. Anything less than catering to them just isn't fair in their minds.

Mm-hmm. I literally just mentioned this sub and someone said they are convinced we are men LARPing as women and we're sexist. How is discussing and supporting each other against problematic male behaviour sexist? Oh right, because women should be good little doormats made of sugar, spice and everything nice. 🙄

Also, to add to this, how do we clearly demonstrate that the content is pervasive across the entire sub and not just "a few bad apples/posts"? Is there a minimum threshold or guideline that Reddit uses to judge whether a report warrants a user ban vs. a sub ban?

John is one of the few comedians who paints his spouse in a flattering light during his routine. All the bits I've heard about her are about how she makes his life better, how intelligent she is and how she encourages him to stand up for himself, but doesn't coddle him. Just HVM things. <3

This is the surest proof that sexuality isn't a choice. I wish I could choose to be a lesbian. I am so jealous of my gay friend's marriage but I wouldn't want to trade places with (most of) my hetero married friends. I'm not a pedophile, so please stop talking about your man-child husband as if he's attractive. 🤢

I'm sure that was a rhetorical question, but: Violence. Men have purposefully and intentionally targeted women with physical, sexual, and social violence that attacks and undermines our position in society for their own benefit. Fuckers.
