One example that immediately comes to mind is how men tend to get down on their knee and ask a woman to be with them until death. This is simp behaviour. Imagine asking another human being to sign a contract vowing that they'll love you forever. This is exactly what a simp would do, and yet many men who generally aren't considered to be simps tend to do this. Wait so my husband is a simp because he married me? Guess most women want simps and most men want to be them. The unfortunate reality is t…

Monogamy can imply sexual exclusivity, but it doesn’t mean that a lack of sex invalidates a monogamous relationship. Many couples go through periods without sex due MULTIPLE different reasons from health issues, emotional struggles, or other factors, and their relationships don’t suddenly become ‘nulligamous’ or cease to exist like you seem to think. Also, human intimacy is more than just sex. It includes emotional connection, trust, and commitment. If two people in a monogamous relationship dec…

Exactly, you enter the relationship wanting to be monogamous, i.e. having sex with one person, not zero. You are equating a monogamous relationship to equal you are entitled to sex. That is just not true. They are both betrayal of commitment. It also means activity, not just exclusivity. Yes, it does make it non-monogamous, it’s in the name. It makes it nulligamous. No, monogamous means sex with one person. Exclusivity is exclusivity, monogamy is monogamy. But even exclusivity is conditional - i…

If they are not structured like that, then why is sexual infidelity a problem in any scenario? I said they’re not rigid contracts. If they were, people who cheat would never go back to each other, but they do. I said several times cheating is a problem because you enter the relationship because you want to be monogamous (unless it’s open or poly but again this is always talked about before the relationship starts) People are supposed to move past lack of sex - an issue that affects them directly…

I get that you’re hurt, and honestly, you have every right to feel that way. It sucks to put yourself out there, be genuine, and get overlooked or used. But carrying that bitterness forward isn’t going to make you feel any better. It clearly turned you into the same kind of person who hurt you. If you’re done with serious dating, that’s your choice, but “giving them a taste of their own medicine” isn’t going to heal you and it clearly hasn’t made you feel better. It just keeps you stuck in resen…

Most do. That’s why they’re finally ready to settle down or just settle for Prove it. I find it hard to believe that “most do”. None of my friends or the women I know had a “ho phase.” I tried that when I was younger, women didn’t want that. They just wanted to have fun sleeping around. Then you’re picking the wrong women. Unless that’s also what you wanted? It seems to me that those women are exactly what you want. Now, how would they ever know on a dating app or irl ? Getting to sleep around h…

This has nothing to do with the context of how more attention on dating apps isnt exactly an advantage to women in dating, but this is the kind of bitter nonsense that makes dating miserable for everyone. Not every woman has some magical ‘ho phase’ where they get unlimited attention (the attention isn’t even genuine!!) and not every guy is some poor, overlooked victim who doesn’t get to have sex. Maybe instead of whining about how unfair not having constant access to sex is, you should focus on …

Dating apps obvious advantage, you save tons of time because men chase you Your confidence gets boosted up bc you get constant likes as opposed to avg men who feel the opposite bc they rarely get matches This isn’t really true. From my experience on dating apps, it wasn’t really a confidence booster when men use it to have sex. There are definitely more men than women on the apps so yes, women are going to have more people to pick from and get more matches, but the quality of men in there? Oh my…

I’m a woman, but I do also wish there was more clarity. I always felt bad in first dates when the man would offer to pay so I would offer too just because I wasn’t sure if I should.

I actually don’t think they’re that aware of their fear. I think it’s all subconscious. They don’t see themselves as insecure even though to be involved in the “manosphere”, insecurity is pretty much a requirement. If they were aware, they would work on their insecurities without projecting them onto “western women”. I do agree with you, I think these type of men want a traditional women because they want someone who will not argue, have sex whenever he wants to, do all the work he doesn’t want …

I think a lot of these people aren’t thinking this deep into it and they like the idea of a traditional woman, but in reality just want a women who doesn’t argue, has sex whenever he wants to, and does whatever work he doesn’t want to do. They aren’t thinking about the work that comes with a traditional woman. He has to make enough money for her life, his life and their children’s life. He has to ensure he’s not going to get frustrated being the provider. This is anecdotal, but my aunt and uncle…

Relationships are not structured like rigid contracts. People move past challenges, like lack of sex (withholding is a weird word to use. dead bedrooms aren’t always someone punishing the other through not having sex), through communication rather than assuming an automatic dissolution of commitments. Those commitments are monogamy if you are in a monogamous relationship. You enter a relationship with someone with the expectation there is no one else in the relationship. I personally don’t have …

If she doesn’t like the cheating that she caused, she can leave, I’m not sure what’s so hard about that. You caused the cheating. You could’ve have left first. Do you discuss interpersonal violence when you enter a relationship? Do you discuss rape? Yet you don’t expect those things to happen even without discussing it. Why is that? Could it be that the relationships have MANY unsaid rules? As I JUST said, you discuss relationship issues as they come in a relationship. It’s a normal consequence …

If it does become a dead bedroom relationship discuss it or leave. I’m not sure what’s so hard about this. Exclusivity is discussed when you enter a relationship sex usually is not. You discuss problems as they come in a relationship. You can also cheat for sure! Just don’t be mad if the other person decides to end the relationship because of it.

Without countermeasures or punishment, then that’s just yapping. you don’t fix power or value disbalance by throwing more value or yielding more power at it, you fix it by withdrawing it. It either break things or they fix their attitude. Win win.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 03:29 PM

I entered a relationship based on the notion that we are exclusive, that’s why I said yes to entering the relationship. Therefore if you cheat, we are not in a relationship anymore. How much sex we have was not discussed prior, if the partner feels there’s an issue they should bring it up.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 03:27 PM

But if someone one-sidedly decides there will be no more intimacy in a relationship, doesn’t that also mean that there is no relationship? Sure, if you discuss it first. Normally you expect intimacy in a relationship. Then discuss it and if you don’t like their answer, leave. why are the people in this subreddit so against talking to their partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 03:02 PM

Google what strawman means. You can’t just say strawman when it’s an argument you don’t like. You said you’d rather cheat than discuss with your partner. That is what you said.

Why would one leave when they can fix something that’s already mostly good? You won’t “fix” it by cheating or playing games Why not? Your faithfullness should be considered a pricey privilege, not a given default. Again if you read my post, it’s not “jump” to cheating. Have you read? I have read it and yes it’s a jump to cheating you are jumping over discussions straight to cheating when you don’t get what you want. You don’t read. I Won’t read either. Why? You enter a relationship based on the terms there’s no one else involved in the relationship. If there’s no loyalty, there is no relationship (unless you have DISCUSSED poly or open relationship) Really? Who gets to determine what’s the norm and what isn’t? The people in the relationship who DISCUSS their boundaries? Relationships are largely monogamous which is why i said “normally”.

if the relationship doesn’t involve sexual satisfaction, then not anymore. If that’s your boundary, then leave! You know why she won’t have sex with you. What’s more complicated is yapping about it everyday and keeping investing yourself in her. She should fix her behavior or break the relationship. If you don’t do it yourself that is. Why won’t she have sex with you? I think it’s because that’s seemingly all you care about. Why do you think? If you have to keep asking about it then YES, break t…

Things are a lot slower than you make it sound like, and spectrums are wider than what you talk like as well. If people don’t owe you sexual satisfaction then you don’t owe them to know where your romantic and sexual interests go toward, You do owe them to know where your romantic and sexual interests go toward. You’re in a relationship that is expected not to have other individuals involved unless otherwise discussed. why making things more complicated? Lying and cheating is more complicated th…

If you’re not entitled to your partner’s body, then there’s no reason why it would be wrong for them to cheat on you. You’re entitled to your partner’s loyalty though. Those are normally the terms when you enter a monogamous relationship. There usually aren’t terms relating to how much sex you have, but that can be a conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 02:34 AM

Loyalty and sexual satisfaction. Both together or none. Unless otherwise discussed indeed. But nobody starts a relationship of loyalty with the implicit idea that sex can be withholded for a prolonged amount of time without consequences. Which is why conversations in relationships are important instead of immediately jumping to break loyalty ask why they don’t want to have sex or ask for an open relationship. If one prefers that while their partner is fixing themselves, why not? The point is you…

Why is it not manly to cheat? Who decided that? People who want to manipulate men into doing what they want. It’s not ok for anyone to cheat. Relationships are usually founded on loyalty to one another unless otherwise discussed. Relationships should also be consensual. Why can’t you have a conversation with her about why you aren’t having sex? You’d just rather cheat and lie because it’s the easy way to get what you want? I think it would be easier to just break up with her. Why can’t people ha…

Then man up and have a conversation about it? Instead of cheating, ask for an open relationship? Ask why you’re not having sex? Why is your first thought to cheat instead of having a heart to heart with your partner? If you don’t want to leave her you obviously have a reason for staying?

I’ve given you multiple reasons why. You don’t like the reasons, so you’re dismissing them with an isolated demand for rigor. No you’ve given me that they’re worthless and undeserving of respect. No reason. So basically you’ve given me your opinion. If you have no reasoning, then sure, I will take it as one person’s opinion and nothing more. Those of us deserving of respect don’t need to. Any type of sexual desire is normally compartmentalized. It’s solipsism when you believe that you should be respected despite enjoying being degraded. Believing that I deserve respect despite enjoying kinky sex is not solipsism. Enjoying consensual kinky sex does not mean I expects special treatment or I am denying your own perspectives it means I can separate my own sexual desires from a public identity. Respect is given to people that earn it. Not the kinds of people that want to be choked and spit on. Sexual preferences do not decide a person’s cha…

it’s not an opinion, nor is it sad, unless you’re a woman. Men don’t respect glorified sex dolls that want to be choked and spit on. it is 100% an opinion and it’s yours. You just don’t respect women in general whether you’re having sex with them or not. your post history made that clear. I said nothing about what I’m into. That’s your opinion and honestly it’s sad. You can be into vanilla sex and that’s fine, but you shouldn’t project that onto other people. I’m respected in and outside of the bedroom by a man. Just because you see sex as degrading, it doesn’t mean that it inherently is.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 07:45 PM

What’s wrong with that? I would only want my husband to do those things with me during sex. My husband doing it to me outside of sex or the thought of any other man doing it to me is sickening. Sex also isn’t a degrading act. it’s not something I am ashamed of hence why I don’t experience the m/w complex.

okay, still, anecdotally i know two men under 5’5 who are married. You all need to realize its a lot less about your height and more about how you carry yourself. edit: im 5’3, one guy is also 5’3 and is married. The other one is the same height as his wife and at least in high school, she wasn’t much taller than me.

Outside the internet height doesn’t matter as much as people think it does. Considering I have several male friends and acquaintances who are under 6’0 and do very well in the dating field. I also have several who are over 6’0 and do poorly. My own boyfriend isn’t even over 6’0 and i never looked at height as a dealbreaker of attractiveness, but I have friends who do. It is all about preferences and off of the internet, your category of short guys don’t do so bad at all.

Because it is biologically wanted to be social and form relationships with people around us. I don’t have animosity towards men & women in general unless they do something or have views I don’t agree with and im not obligated to form relationships with those people. Agreed, i’m not a promiscuous woman, but to have to see men look at women as a sexual object who’s only value to them comes from being their sexual object is disgusting to me. Women are more than who they have or haven’t had sex with. I don’t like having hypocrites as potential suitors either. But that’s the beauty of not being obligated to date anyone. At the end of the day, sex is a natural part of human beings. No wonder he feels he has to work so hard for sex.

What they’re saying is right, nobody needs a certain man or woman in their life as adults in the 21st century men and woman are more than capable enough to provide for themselves. Studies do show women are happier when they’re single IF the don’t want to get married. A woman who wants to get married isn’t going to be happy forever single. YOU obviously aren’t listening oxytocin does not make women specifically stay in love with her first. Women have higher oxytocin due to estrogen. Oxytocin is released during childbirth and breastfeeding to negate pain. The feeling you get after ejaculation is the feeling you get when the dopamine is gone. That isn’t oxytocin. Oxytocin in women does not prove why women stay in love with their fist because they don’t. I recommend you take your own advice and find out how many women actually are st…

There is a meaning to it. It’s normal guys are competitive. Testosterone makes it that way. Doesn’t mean you sleep with the girl then call her low value after sleeping with her because you found out you aren’t the only one. I agree trying to quantify sex and promiscuity isn’t going to offer results and often leads into overthinking, im just curious about opinions. “It just feels kind of disgusting” is an honest take but im not trying to change minds here I’m wondering why you feel this way.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:05 PM

Women also have testosterone levels and testosterone does limit oxytocin. Men also have estrogen which does increase the effects of oxytocin. Women also have those same feelings. What you are talking about here is dopamine. Not oxytocin. We all have oxytocin and it does not make you stay in love with the person you lost your virginity to nor does it make you bond less with new people. Oxytocin can also not distinguish one night stand vs breast feeding vs marriage vs hugs. You are not factual. Th…

Men also have oxytocin, but somehow they don’t stay in love with the women they lose their virginity too? Im confused where you’re getting this from. Oxytocin doesn’t just stop you from bonding with other people because you’ve bonded with someone else. If that was the case I guess i love my new niece less than the old one because she came last. How will the social experiment that relates to solely attractiveness tell me what behaviors are virgin vs non virgin. Now you sound like you’re making th…

I am no longer in love with the person I lost my virginity to so how is this a fact again? are you still in love with the person you lost your virginity to? What behaviors give off virgin and non-virgin? beauty is subjective so how would we ensure that everyone believes a woman and a man are exactly a 7/10 to everyone they come in contact with? I feel as if you are basing this on PUA type rhetoric rather than facts. How does a woman sleeping with only one person make the relationship more successful? To me it sounds like the man would simply have less to compare himself to and the women would have less to compare him to and that’s how it would work? How do men seek inexperienced women? Curiosity again, do you ask a woman their body count before sleeping with them or do you “guess” who is inexperienced? I can see it from both sides, men…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:55 PM

No, he can care about what he wants. No one is here obligated to date or have sex with him. He can find a woman who also feels as if being virgin is of the highest order and that is none of my business. I am simply putting in my two cents and figuring out his opinions. I literally said TO ME it sounds like an insecurity issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:38 PM

So then by that logic promiscuity is not disgusting you just think promiscuous women are disgusting. A woman’s value also does not come solely from her sexual aspects. a virgin doesn’t automatically mean better relationship value. Men also want experienced women. Many many times have I’ve seen women being ridiculed for not knowing how to give BJs, be on top, etc; The main point being “men have to work for sex” is kind of ridiculous. I am not a promiscuous woman. I particularly dislike sex. I hav…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:24 PM

Just curiosity: how is it not the same for men then? Men are just as likely to be promiscuous as a woman, yet its only a negative to be promiscuous if you are a woman. By your logic, (promiscuity is disgusting) men would be devaluing themselves as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:02 PM
2

And somehow that lowered her value to you? To me, caring about who someone has been with in their past isn’t a “value” issue its a comparison issue. I am a woman who has compared myself to my boyfriend’s exs. Is that his problem, no. It is mine. Why am I comparing myself or even thinking about his past? Edit: and the snooping kind of proves an insecurity issue as well. I have looked through my boyfriends phone and It was because I was feeling insecure.

I am for whatever people want to do. If you don’t want to have lots of sex with someone or someones. Don’t. If you do, do it. I personally don’t think doing it irresponsibly or doing it to hurt others is a good thing, but in the end it’s none of my business what other people like to do.
