Can't recommend his book Infinite Jest enough, its very long and hard to read at parts, but its one of those life-altering books that changes your perception on pretty much everything. Brilliant man, rip.

Can't speak for anyone else but I started watching porn daily at 12 and didn't acknowledge it was a problem and start to try to stop until age 18. I think having porn play such a big role in my developmental years in puberty is the main reason for my addiction. The NoFap subreddit has helped me a lot with my porn addiction. Take what you read with many grains of salt (as much of it is pseudo science malarky) but it's still worth checking out.
