It’s happened to me for sure. I think a big part of it is that men and women often express emotions differently, so when we open up, women aren’t used to how that manifests itself. So it’s more or less a style issue.

Honestly, I think it’s getting better, albeit slowly.

Yes. You can be attracted to someone’s personality without having feelings for them. It’s not easy, but it does happen.

While I understand where you’re coming from because there’s a lot of talk about high value men these days, people need to gain relationship experience ASAP. You need to know what not to do and attracting women is NOT EASY, regardless of how established you are.

Stop thinking about leagues and be you.

Tell them you’re attracted to them. It’s pretty simple. You’re currently avoiding risk and discomfort.

Wtf. That is mind blowing. I’ve never had hints that explicit and yet you still were too nervous.

I actually agree with you. There are parts of this which seem unhealthy even though it’s correct in principle.

As someone who uses a wheelchair sometimes, Idk how to feel about this post. I will say that I’m not deformed.

In that case, you don’t have to worry about it. Just mirror their actions and make solid eye contact.

Yeah. Do they not smile at you? I thought you mentioned that they do.

I’ll comment on the only aspect of this post I can relate to. Don’t beat yourself up for not smiling back at girls. I forget on a semi-regular basis and need to remind myself mentally to do it.

I don’t think you’re completely wrong, but I’ve also seen enough average guys with beautiful girlfriends/ wives to know that you’re at least a little off base.

This is THE comment. Nothing else needs to be said really.

Society is increasingly female-friendly—including how the education system is structured. Edit: I also think men who want to be stay-at-home dads shouldn’t be stigmatized.

This. There’s also a difference between shy and quiet. Shy people are usually afraid to talk whereas that is not necessarily the case with a quiet person.

In situations where the woman did a poor job communicating, yes.

This. Just have this type of conversation early and you’re good.

I understand this. I was replying to u/Mariposa_Flor and the scenario they presented. I was not commenting on the purpose of this subreddit as a whole. I do appreciate your advice though.

I don’t fully agree with this. I’ve been in situations where I came into the relationship intending to be friends, but developed feelings later. In that case, It’s really hard to be upfront about your feelings because you end up in a lose-lose situation. I ended up looking sketchy regardless even though I was being honest.

I needed this today. Thank you.

You don’t have to bring it up unless you’re completely comfortable with the girl. Nothing should compel you to mention it.

Here’s the thing. I don’t think you can fully eliminate neediness, but the tactics you outlined can certainly minimize it.

You don’t really know why a girl ghosted you. (most of the time) You aren’t in their head. So it doesn’t make sense to dwell on it.

Number 3 is a bit lame tbh, what if someone’s expectations change later?

I like his stuff. He approaches relationships in a wholesome way that resonates with the average guy.

I didn’t post in the Tinder sub because I figured it would be biased. Anyway, fair enough. I agree with your general premise.

You’re projecting a bit. I didn’t say that I was using it as a primary way to meet people. I asked because it’s impossible to see who likes you without paying.

At the very least, she’s attracted to you. Give it a shot. Ask her out, ask for her contact info...do something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
