The first part was right, then she goes off the rails on her reasoning

I hid in plain sight for 5 years. The last semester I just didn’t give a fuck anymore. I only had one required course, so I decided to take a fuck off class or two.

Right! No way in hell I could make it through college today.

Bingo. To stupid, or to inbreed for higher learning, and that’s some of the nicer comments I heard

No. The community surrounding the college is very rural, blue collar, and conservative. For the most part, many of the college crowd is from large cities, white collar, very liberal areas of the us. Very few people go to the college from here. A few do on scholarships, but very few people around here can afford it. It’s sad, it didn’t used to be that way, but it is now. The running joke, though it’s not much of a joke anymore, was if three girls could agree with each other there you were expelle…

Something I was told by an old professor/friend when I went to college. “Your a hillbilly (my name). Do not stick your neck out here for nobody. Dress like them and do your schoolwork and move on. Don’t hang with them, don’t make friends, don’t screw any of them. Your a pilgrim in an unholy land. If they find out who and what you are, you will be made an example of because of who and what you are! Study hard, get what you came here to get, and get out. For a lot of these kids this will be where …

What an absolute monster that woman is. When she was led away she grinned. Good god she should be put away for 20 years!

Last I heard, the real dad had about four other kids with four other women, so she didn’t get much after she went after him. It was pretty much get in line. She had another one with a pipeliner passing through, followed him to Texas, he left her because she was getting into drugs pretty heavy, got her two kids taken away. She straightened up for a while, got her kids back, moved back home, started using again mom kicked her out, had a kid with a druggie, cps took the kids because the baby tested…

Honestly, it’s like a mental block. Everything just keeps running back when it does cross my mind, how it took me, how it consumed me, that anger. It’s truly the worst thing that I’ve ever heard of happening to a man. I tamp it down, years pass. I got a woman who loves me now, a pile of kids, a farm, a job, but it’s always there. It’s always just a thought away. I’ve never told my wife what happened, I’m to ashamed to. my dad went to his grave never knowing how I suffered. Outside of my uncle, a…

Listen man, many moons ago I was that guy. I dated a girl for 5 years, and then engaged for two. We rented a place together, shared bills, cars, meals, set a date, etc. something was off though, just felt it. My sophomore year in college she sent me a pic of a test, we need to talk. So I skip my last class, call off sick at work, and head home. She’s crying, I’m crying, I’m going to be a dad. Someone is going to look up to me, someone’s gonna call me dad. I continued in school, moved into her pa…

Everyone makes mistakes man, it’s how we learn. Wisdom is an amassing of knowledge, knowledge is gained through experience, and a good bit of that is gained through mistakes. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It sucks to be trapped, I’ve almost been in those shoes. By luck and tolerance of god, the kid wasn’t mine. I wish you the best

Gentlemen, two types of women go to college. Those that go for an education, and those that go to find a man. I have ran into both, and a rubber kept me from making that mistake until we were both ready. If a woman says she won’t let you use condoms, 👏 pull 👏 up 👏 your 👏 pants 👏 and 👏 leave!

Keep your head down and study. Your not going to create any lasting change there, that’s how I got through college. I was a fifth generation logger going to a very liberal college. I went to that college because I was helping take care of my terminally ill parent, and it was the closest one that offer a degree in my chosen field of study. You a pilgrim in an unholy land.

Listen, I had a girlfriend that did shit like this and tried to wield me like a sword. About the 3rd or 4th time it happened, I said she needed to go back to the table finish her drink and chill. She responded by calling me a pussy and slapping me. I stepped back and said ok, you do you. About 20 minutes later she started some shit with a guy, that guys girl wasn’t to happy. They headed outside, and about 15 minutes later here come the ambulance. A broken jaw, eye socket, and ribs later, she was…

Hey, I say have at it. I was a logger for a decade, I only seen one woman logger in my life. She was the third best skidder operator I’ve ever met. Maybe weighed 140lbs, but could throw chain choker, and keep pace with almost any man. I was surprised really. After a week of her trying to keep up with me, she ended up passing me with two full skids! I was impressed! Maya, wherever you are, I hope your still smoking timber cutters, and chewing through a pack of toothpicks a day!

She tried like hell to make his life miserable for about six or seven years before she realized it wasn’t fazing him. By that time his son was old enough to see what was going on. Meanwhile, she bounced from man to man to stay financed till her looks ran out. Last I heard she was working as a secretary at a doctors office to make ends meet, but that’s been a few years ago.

I had an uncle who made bank as an engineer on a train, but he lived at his job. Well his wife got fed up with it and started stashing his paychecks and not paying the bills/ paying enough so they wouldn’t reposes anything. Well he came home after working out of town for two weeks, and the only thing left in his house was a mattress, a table, one pot, one spoon, a fork, a pen and the divorce papers. Within hours they repossessed his truck, his car, his boat, his atv, and if it hadn’t been for my…

You know, I’m just gonna say it. If someone made fun of my wife, publicly and in front of me, for a condition that is outside of her power to help or control, I would act the same. I don’t care if it was in Walmart, or grand central station, or the steps of a synagogue, I would do the same thing. I think he showed restraint with just giving him one swat. That man is obviously going through some shit with his crazy ass family, but it doesn’t need to be brayed in front of him, his wife, and his pe…

I was a logger before. My dad told me to get out while I could, so I went to college to be a teacher . I was fifth generation,

Can confirm. I used to be a teacher. It was hell dealing not only with the fucking bulldozers, and the helicopter’s, but the female teachers as well. I lasted about two years with the blatant sexism, and fucking noped out and went back to logging.

Well I was depressed and started drinking heavy, went back to logging, tagged up with a helicopter logging crew out west. I stayed out west for a while, after Katrina I hitchhiked to Louisiana to make some good money cutting trees, drinking got worse. Father was diagnosed with cancer, hitchhiked back home to help take care of the farm, started getting the shakes when I didn’t drink. Only job around was green chain work, which is shitty pay for shitty work. Got in a fight with a off duty cop who …

Had this happen to me. I was working my way through college, she said Iam pregnant. I manned up and took care of her, went to birthing classes, etc. 7 months later baby was born, one look at the kid and I just knew it wasn’t mine. I had to leave to finalize my fmla, ( baby came early), came back and the kid was the wrong color, so I left. I went to her house, packed my stuff and left. Her mother apologized when I seen her a few months later at the store, she never did though. Took about eight ye…

Went to apply for a job at the state road in my home state. I was told that in I was a woman or another race I would go to work tomorrow, but since I wasn’t, I was put on a 11 month wait list. I was flabbergasted.

There’s a sign in my old family heirlooms that says,” Irish need not apply “. It’s the reason my ancestors left for the wilderness. It serves to remind us that we were hated for what we were, not who we were. Subs like that show me how much people have changed. The group is different, but the sign is still the same.

I may of found a unicorn. We got married six years ago. In that time I’ve been off work for a year, six months to a work injury, and six months to a layoff. In that time she continued to work a job she hated and would put up with my hobbies and other frivolous things. By no means am I saying our marriage is perfect, but, it ain’t bad. She may have 50 pairs of shoes, and expensive taste in clothes, (she’s a teacher, I was a logger) but I like to fish, hunt, and drink.
