We can relate. It feels like you let go and then suddenly your hating her. The emotional seesaw will slow as time passes. The best therapy for a man after a breakup is the gym. Give her the big middle finger by leveling up. Make this your mission. The anger I feel for my ex, (divorced last year), motivates me. It sounds cheesy but use your anger for your own benefit. Hang in there bro.

Similar story here. Stuck my my mom for years to come just to rebuild what I lost. Driving a 180k mile Honda with torn leather that I’m hoping lasts me 2-3 more years. Stuck paying child support for the next 15yrs, 4 kids for the next 5, then another 10yrs for my 2 youngest. Just did my taxes for 2023. All I make goes to either her or taxes. Financially, I’m gonna have to rebuild slowly, but I will rebuild. My focus right now is being as physically fit as possible to be a healthy male in his 40s…

Hang in there. Keep your chin up. Hit the gym or at least walk. Lift weights. I’ve come to realize that getting in shape is the best thing for men after a breakup. Don’t give up on yourself. You have many more years of life to live. This will all pass in time. We have all had the same feeling but have come out the other side.

I went thru the same thing. She had me thinking maybe she was right. I started therapy and I asked him. Got the same answer… “you wouldn’t be here if you were.” The term is a buzz word nowadays that women latch onto to justify their horrible actions. Funny how all of our stories have similarities.

See a lawyer, tell them everything and file a domestic violence restraining order claiming financial abuse.

100% this. Feeling better about how you look goes a long way.

This! I regret not filing first. She filed for divorce along with false DV restraining order. Putting me on defense and catch up the entire process. Also, per another comment, don’t under estimate the mental impact of filing first. The best advice I’ve been giving some friends of mine is to file first.

Sucks to think about, but those former housewives are our ex-wives that didn’t want to fuck us. They fuck the next guy like a rabbit. Oh well.

Good energy! Keep moving forward. All of us need to cheer each other on. I like reading success stories. Fuck those bitches!

She already showed you she doesn’t respect you. Women won’t fuck a guy they don’t respect. You are only 6 years in. Depending on where you are your alimony would be limited to half the length of the marriage. I stayed and got screwed, now I owe her alimony for life. Also, she baby trapped me in the end. I have 4 kids, youngest is 3, so 15 years of child support to go. I wish I would have gotten out years ago. I’m 43 and have to rebuild my life. I do feel fortunate that it’s now and not when I’m …

Although my dead bedroom had more sexual activity than yours. Mine started right after we had our first born. It lasted 14yrs until we divorced. I became super resentful towards her. I’m a decent looking guy that got more and more attention as I got older. I ended up hating her. Get out! It’s not worth it to stay. Find someone that wants to fuck you. She will end up cheating. That’s what mine did. I was sticking out for the kids so I just ended up wasting years.

How are you documenting parental alienation? I can see it in my kids but don’t really know how to provide proof.

This 100%. Reclaim your manhood. Remember that you are a man. I was a wrestler in high school and got into jiu jitsu right after we separated. Been a year now and I plan to keep training. Learning to fight is part of the essence of masculinity. Think back in the days when school fights were the norm. It’s in our nature to fight. Modern society has made men weak. Learn how to fight. You will walk taller! Also, hit the gym.

I am about two months out of divorce day. She cheated and we separated about a year ago. I tried to start dating a while ago but just didn’t want to put any effort into a women. All I really wanted to was to get laid. Modern dating for the average guy is hard! I get matches and likes on dating apps here and there and some that I’m attracted to, at least in pictures, and have been on a few dates but nothing has materialized into sex, unfortunately. She is long moved on and I still think about her…

I went from a 6 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 car garage to living with my mom. Still in divorce process but I plan to recover once this is done.

Get the TRO. Don’t think that she won’t do it. File first and move on her fast. It sounds harsh, but take the preemptive strike. This will set you in a better position to get what you want. If you don’t, you will be playing defense the entire time. If they do it so easily, we/men should do it just as easy. Good luck brother!

Yes. Even if you go thru mediation, it may fall thru and you’d be back to square one. I wish I would have filed first. I was in denial and she took the upper hand. Do it before she beats you to it.

Don’t. You have more to keep going for. You are just discouraged right now. Get up and out of the house. Do something physical like go to the gym. DO NOT drink alcohol or do drugs. It’s the worst thing you can do right now. Get active. Keep your mind busy too. “As a man thinketh”, read this book. It’s all in your head. Stay strong brother!

I was in a similar situation. I told her that I would not file since I really wanted to work it out. She filed and gets to present her case first, asks for what she wants first and now I’m stuck defending. File first!

Similar story here. I was her one and only. Been married 17 yrs. have 4 kids together. I’ll hurt more financially but I know she will not have the lifestyle that I would provide. I also sometimes wish she realizes her mistake, but I’m realistic that her mind is made up. They are driven by current emotions, without room for logic. I’ve come to accept the situation and look forward to my freedom. I think that she will regret her decision. In the end, if she were to come back, it wouldn’t be for ge…

Inspirational words! I’m in the divorce process now and been hitting the gym since separation. Your right. If you look good you feel good and the confidence shows. I’ve been getting attention from younger good looking chicks and my confidence just keeps growing. I’m just starting to have fun and enjoy my freedom.

Not petty. You are entitled to feel what you feel. Channel it into something positive for yourself. Just getting started on my divorce journey. Currently pending my evidentiary hearing on false DV restraining order. She is a stranger to me now. The person I knew is gone. I know that this is a marathon and not a sprint so I’m managing my expectations. Our youngest is 3yrs old so it will be a long road ahead but glad to hear the x will fade as the kids grow. I too miss having a full house, full fa…

Protect yourself at all times! Control your emotions at all times. If you think there will be an argument, take a walk. If an argument starts, video record. Lawyer up asap! If you really think divorce is eminent, file first! The person who files first gets heard first. False or exaggerated domestic violence restraining order are super common and it’s a way for (usually the women) to get the man out of the house and take full custody of the kids, no evidence required, only her word. Once this hap…

Sorry to hear you are going thru this but unfortunately there is nothing you can tell her to change her mind. On the contrary, the more you try to convince her by negotiating or saying sorry, the more it will justify her decision. I did the same and she still went forward with the divorce. Get therapy to get your mind right. Go to the gym. Start looking at your future without her and start planning. At first I started doing all these things to “earn” her back but she still filed. That’s when I r…

Stand your ground. Don’t move out. Be the most perfect father you can be going forward. Spend as much time as you can with your kids. I’m in a similar situation. She has temp full custody and I’m trying to prove my case that I’m a good father. I make sure my kids have fun with me. Take plenty of genuine happy pictures that I’ll include in my case. I make sure I make them meals and help with homework. Do everything you can and write it down. Every detail is important. You have to prove beyond a d…

I’m going thru divorce now. We grew apart over the years. Dead bedroom. Felt like roommates. In the end she was looking to cheat. Not certain If she ever actually did, but I know it was on her mind and eventually would be there. Had I known what I know now about masculine and feminine roles in our own nature and implemented these I believe we would not be divorcing. Looking back, we both became complacent once the kids came. We stopped dating each other. I became a beta provider to her and she l…

I can relate to this. My wife and I separated at the end of August. I still thought we had a chance and constantly chased her which pushed her away even more. She refused to talk to me unless it was about the kids. I got served divorce papers in Oct. that was the day I decided to let her go. It was easy because she got a restraining order against me, which I think is a legal tactic to take full custody of the kids. The whole time I was constantly missing her and felt a void in my stomach. Regret…

42 in CA here. I’m on the edge of divorce and am seriously thinking on leaving the country. I can split half of what I have but by no means am I going to become my STBX’s slave. Divorce is about getting back your freedom and I’m not about to let the courts tell me I’m to slave away my remaining days. The amount of money you are saddled with is no way near the actual cost of raising kids. I love my kids but I love my freedom a a lot more. I’ll send them plane tickets to come see me. I still have …

On the verge of divorce here and I’ve made it clear I will not pay her alimony and don’t believe in child support. If it’s 50/50 child time why would it make sense for me to give her any support as I think she should take 50% of the financial responsibility. I know I would loose in court and am prepared to relocate to another country since I will not be anyone’s slave.

I see a lot of “don’t do it” here. Similar story here. On edge of divorce so I started thinking of an exit strategy. I have an ace card up my sleeve as I have citizenship in another country. Im planning on cashing out, wiring all funds, and moving there. I don’t care if the divorce is final or not. I’ll ghost her and live my best life there. I have sufficient money to live like a King in the years to come.
