I'd argue that your friend group would not tolerate the behavior of the better looking asshole at all. IMO deep, genuine relationships only comes if both parties have self-respect; most people I know would instantly leave if you crossed a boundary, no matter how attractive (unless you're Sydney Sweeney level). The distinction is in how charming they are. You can 100% get away with more if you're charismatic, people consider it the price of interacting with you. Charisma isn't niceness, it's maki…

Now that I'm an older man I can be as promiscuous as I wanted to be when I was younger. I agree that sex with more people doesn't make it less special, but for myself I have noticed that "special" sex only comes with intimacy. Even good sex doesn't mean much to me if the emotional connection isn't strong. Have you found the same? Or do you have a feeling for what makes sex special to you?

Thank you for being honest. There‘s a couple women I was falling for and would’ve proposed to, but they did some truly reprehensible things in college. I don’t mean slutty (I kind of like that) but I mean horrible shows of character. Some women will read this as, never talk about your past, but now I won’t even consider an exclusive relationship if I don’t hear green flags in their dating history or in how they treat people, chads and betas alike.

Yes, please go out more, don’t think about “talking to women”, talk to everybody: the security guy, the bartender, the old man with the weird hat. Be a warm, confident presence. And you might have to do it for years.

As a former “Ned”, it was this constant subhuman treatment that redpilled me and got me to the point now where I’m almost 30, I have more options but I would never become monogamous with most women.

Sadly this is the truth of the world. Reality "is what it is" whether we like it or not, ugliness and all.

As a man who goes to the gym a lot (4x a week when I'm on it), no amount of muscles will make you lovable. I got out of my ugly duckling phase at 26/27 and I've learned that yes, physical attractiveness matters a fuck ton, but internal happiness and joy is paramount. Like the most important thing in our life. Literally nothing matters as much as your personal joy, because everything around us sours if our internal state is sour. You cannot show up for your child or partner if you hate yourself. …

I don't know. For the longest time it bothered me that there were double standards against men (at the time I was in High School, and an example is girls would look all the time and give a guy sexual compliments if he took his shirt off or something but girls would feel violated by the same. I asked why would you think the guys wouldn't feel violated?). Reading online news I heard of a story of a guy being falsely accused of rape and losing his career and reputation because of a highly corrupt t…

I think number six is kind of ambiguous. Between 2 and 85% is a wide range.

OP was just talking about how unfair it was for his friend. I'm pretty sure you'd be mad in either of their situations, not thinking you have it so well off.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
