I saw this post and several woman said this, so I’ll say it again. It’s how society is set up and the standards we put on men and women. Men are told to “tough it up” - mainly by other men. They aren’t taught to reach out to friends. Women on the other hand are taught this. So they rely on their connections so they feel more satisfaction. After reading this post, I must say you sound really hurt. Please consider therapy because I believe it could help. But to answer your point as a young woman w…

I had casual sex and it wrecked me. I loved him and he didn’t love me and I spent 2 years hoping/thinking he did when we never ever dated.

Same here. Especially if you have sexual trauma. It’s so much harder.

Not all single women have a side man. There are plenty of women who don’t do the whole casual thing.

This. I just helped a friend get out of an abusive relationship. Scary stuff.

I think it just depends. Some women get tired of getting hurt. They also are taught to rely on their social circles more. I appreciate you prefacing that they’re generalizations. In my experience, I know so many men who just don’t want to date. They want to see what else is out there. I’ve asked out so many guys and been rejected by all of them. So it just depends.

Because it manipulates the idea that women don’t enjoy sex as much and men do. It stigmatizes women’s self pleasure and sex.

Because it includes choking and other dangerous and unrealistic standards about women that ruin expectations for them. Also, it’s not catered toward women and so women don’t get the same enjoyment.

But aren’t women as well? Cuz from the perspective of a woman, porn is catered to men. Most men in porn aren’t attractive. They just have large dicks.

How are men manipulated for being horny? I need examples. I need to see a different viewpoint.

lol literally. They act like so many women are shit and don’t look at themselves. They ever think maybe they’re the problem?

I don’t believe this for one minute. I feel like a lot just keep pursuing the same ones who are known by most women as mean women. Like I saw so many dudes not even try when surrounded.

Well in my experience, the men who put in an effort have so much more luck.

Is it though? Cuz it seems like a lot of men are blaming women. Especially with the rise of Andrew Tate and those who follow him.

Uh then explain why there is still discrimination? Explain why white men still make up most of hiring?

There are too many women busting their ass and meeting all of these societal standards and too many men doing the bare minimum and expecting a damn trophy. Not saying women are better, but the amount of young men not working or pursuing college is scary. There are way more women and yeah, there are bitchy and shitty ones, but damn I’ve never experienced women sexualizing men the way too many men do to women. Like women be doing 20 things at once and men just work 40 hours a week and expect so mu…

I’m doing eh. But it’s so exhausting explaining my fear of being raped or assaulted and having people (mainly men) invalidate it and say “well I’m a man, I can be raped or abused”. Also being around men who defend sex offenders like Harvey Weinstein. I experienced sexual assault as a child. I cannot tell you how awful it is not to be believed. Also having men who treat you like just a body is disgusting. I’ve had so many uncomfortable situations with men and even had my safety threatened. And ev…

I am just a body because every guy that actually talks to me just wants my body. Just because I’m not getting “pumped and dumped” doesn’t mean I’m still not getting pervs and inappropriate messages. I constantly look for men who are serious, but I don’t come across them. I’m not overtly sexual. I’m very conservative with how I dress because I hate being sexualized. Every guy I try to date doesn’t want me or isn’t ready, then they date someone else.

I can attest to this. So many men don’t want to date. I get offers for sex, but nothing for actual love and it makes me feel like trash. My worth to men feels like it’s my ability of my body and not who I am. I’m just a body to them. It’s so humiliating. Especially when you fall for someone and it’s just a situationship with an ugly ending.

Yes. I had this convo with my friend last night. And the thing is before someone gets all angry with me, I KNOW there are good men in the world. I see them every now and then, but in my case they’re usually older, happily married, or in a serious relationship. I’m 22F and I cannot tell you how many low quality men I’ve come across. And it makes me sad because I KNOW there are good men. But it’s so frustrating when there are so many that just aren’t quality individuals. I’ve had so many men I try…

THIS!!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 10:37 PM

Uh no. I’m a woman and I’ve avoided mean men and I’m repelled by them. I’ve had really nice guys be jerks. No one is perfect. However, for me, I want an emotionally available man who can talk about his feelings. From my circle and perspective, the women I know don’t want edge. They just want kindness and respect.

As someone who is on and off. I get on and get frustrated. Just cuz there’s a high quantity doesn’t mean there’s quality. Also, you can be attractive and still have men not talk to you. I’ve matched with men I knew irl and they just never spoke to me so I’d never know. Not to mention that yes women can be picky, but it’s just hard telling from a profile. Also the amount of people who ghost is astonishing.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 06:06 PM

Also having someone only want you for your body and not you. It feels so humiliating and belittling. Like all I am is just a body and you don’t care about me or my wellbeing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
