Also, if you ever do have another depressive episode I would recommend CBT. It’s less touchy-feely and more about re-wiring your brain. It’s future oriented. Just something to keep in mind if it ever happens again and just “Doing it” doesn’t seem to be working this time.

Say that to someone with severe PTSD. I’m sorry, but treatment is sometimes necessary along with pharmaceutical intervention. I have a friend (veteran) I had to fly to my house because he hadn’t slept in four days and was starting to deteriorate and I had to pretty much force him when he got here to take anti-anxiety meds to get him to finally sleep. He’s one of those guys who normally “suffers in silence “ and I thank god he said something that day or I know he would be dead right now. He still…

Wait, are we angry that they have careers or that they're unemployed?

I'm pretty sure that both men and women in LTR think about other people during sex sometimes. It's kinda just natural to do that. Try roll playing, it can be very fun, especially if you both really get into it. Get her a wig and everything.

To be fair, there's no way an average man would be a good rocket scientist either.

Yeah, I feel like this one was pretty obvious.

I'm a girl and that's actually pretty damn good advice.

Got it. Wasn't sure if there was a more narrow definition for purposes of TRP comments based on the context in which it was used.

Ha, what does White Knight mean? Still trying to figure out all the lingo. I think 80/20 is probably a better rule to follow than 95% in general in terms of common cultural or biological characteristics among males or females. I probably wouldn't agree with what you consider those characteristics to be, but don't think that would be a productive Reddit conversation. And, like you said, women obviously do the same thing with men so I'm not exactly about to try and take the high horse with that on…

Good question. I'm confused about this as well. I feel like your goal makes the most sense to me.

Some are clearly and even sometimes unapologetically misogynists, some have been deeply hurt by a woman, some are trying to figure out how to find the best woman they can get, some are just navigating the currently complicated and unclear dating rituals of today's culture. Can't lump them all together. I view a lot of things differently than many of them do, but some things I may either agree with or see where they are coming from.

It's just interesting to see what different types of people with various experiences think about things. I already know my experience so just reading about others with similar experiences isn't exactly enthralling. I'm also someone who believes most issues are more complicated and nuanced then lots of people make them out to be. Plus, I won't lie, it can be entertaining at times.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
