I tried once, as well; went around the house examining objects and asking myself, "Am I dreaming?" Then that night I dreamt I was being chased through the city at night by something, "Evil Dead style," until I came up against a brick wall; then I realized that I was dreaming, after which the bricks all gently flew apart and I floated up into the night sky… at which point the dream ended.

I'm fortunate that Payless' website offers my favorite kind of sneaker; I walk a lot and even after three months the soles have barely worn down except the innermost heel. (My last pair of these fell apart everywhere except the soles.)

I'm pretty sure the image is a troll, but it reminds me of a passage from The Alphabet of Manliness: • It is not polite to rape This is a big one. One of the more difficult adjustments for a pirate to make while transitioning into society is that rape is not "okay." In fact, rape is considered rude and is sharply frowned upon.

I grew up fairly lanky and weak, but a few years ago — when approaching my mid-thirties — I began to exercise more regularly; first for health reasons, then just to challenge myself (guess it's the gamer in me). I mentioned this in the comment section (somewhere there), but the name "Karen" is banned on Xbox Live. =Þ If you use the name in a screenshot or capture, at least on the app, it'll say: "Let's keep it clean — pick another name and try again." (I think trying to use the name on the Xbox One itself simply fails.) Hell, if anyone in SoulCalibur VI fights against my devil, Karen 'Akamu, they just see a string of asterisks. I find it amusingly frustrating 'cause nearly two decades ago I made a tall, curvy, cutesy Hawaiian devil woman named "Karen 'Akamu," and when I play her recreation in SoulCalibur VI online my opponent just sees a string of asterisks. You can name a character "Damned," but "Karen" gets censored. =Þ (Seems to be an Xbox issue, since I can't even use "Karen" in capture file names unless I substitute the Latin "e" for the Cyrillic "е" — unfortunately SCVI renders the Cyrillic alphabet differently.)

I can honestly imagine them spinning this to be "men's fault" — women are "expected" to buy superfluous stuff to look attractive for men (and to compete with other women for men's attention), so clearly if men didn't have such "high standards" women wouldn't need to buy such crap! …right?

…and here I am wondering what bands that transceiver's operating on: 20 meters? 40? 6? Single-sideband? Continuous wave? I usually have my ID-51 on me, but that mainly handles 2 meters and 70 cm. I'll be honest, it really irritates me when people use "Neanderthal" as an insult when there's been little evidence to indicate that they were that much more primitive than Homo Sapien Idaltu; I take the latter's success due to a warmer climate allowing for more open land and longer legs for them to run and chase after prey (in alternating bands, exhausting their prey), whereas Neanderthals spent half-a-million years adapting to the Ice Age climate requiring them to sneak up and ambush their pre…

Could do one for Empress Matilda of England and her conflict against her cousin, Stephen of Blois, over control of the English throne that resulted in "the Anarchy." (I also recall she had a bit of a spat with her daughter-in-law, the equally fiery Eleanor of Aquitaine.) We were bred to be predators. I mean, we survived the Ice Age by kicking the ass of everything around us… and what we lacked in strength of body we made up with in strength of mind, by being more clever, more cunning, more ruthless.
