This is all pseudo-scientific junk. For instance, with the statistic that more men die in fatal car accidents -- they need to break it down by cause. With no context, men could be dying in car accidents because women are t-boning them.

Second, the media picks the juiciest crimes to show on tv to scare its audience and in some way make it thinks it needs to watch the news each night to know when/where is safe. By law, men have many more rights than women. In some states, marital rape isn't even illegal yet, much less worldwide. Culturally, socially, men have more rights than women.
