I'm not saying false accusations should go unpunished. If the accusation is later proved false and malicious, whoever made the accusation should face consequences. But in this particular situation, where the accusation was made when the accuser was a child and likely would never have been held liable at the time, and they later came forward to admit the lied (likely in a deal with the DA that involved not prosecution) telling the woman that if she tells the truth she'll get 10 years in jail coul…

The difference is it really doesn't matter if a murderer comes forward, because the person is already dead. Yes, it gives closure to the family, but in this case it's much more important for the liar to eventually fess up because it gets an innocent person out of prison. Edit: Would it really be better if this woman wanted to come clean for a lie she told when she was 11, but decided not to because shed face prison so the falsely accused would stay in prison instead?

The risk is if she was sentenced to jail for 10 years over this, the next person in this situation would never come clean and say they made it up, and an innocent person would be imprisoned even longer.

Please go outside and try to talk to actual women, not like this though.

What parts of a woman's body is it ok to touch after you have drugged her? Is rape only penetration? It's not okay to drug women, or anyone else for that matter. That doesn't mean it, on its own, equals rape. Rape is non-consentual sex, so of there no sex, theres no rape. That doesn't mean there needs to neccesarily be penetration (for example, non consentual manual sex). Also, in different jurisdictions different things may be considered rape and different things may be considered sexual assaul…

They were guys she met as a stripper who went to a hotel room to have sex with her, then she drugged them and robbed them instead. That's not rape. It's still bad, but it isn't rape.

As far as I know, there was never any allegation that Cardi participated in a rape. She said she hypothetically would if somebody cheated on her, which is incredibly fucked up and horrible, but does not amount to a crime.

As far as I know she was never accessory to rape. She said she hypothetically would, but that isn't actually a crime. She also hasn't been charged with the drugging and robbing because no victims have come forward. The meme tries to paint it as a double standard when this specific case isn't. The justice system is still incredibly sexist, this is just a really stupid example because there are tons of other differences between Cosby's case and Cardi Bs. She's still a piece of shit, but it makes s…

She said that's something she would do hypothetically, which is a little different than actually committing a crime. Like yeah it's fucked up for a million reasons, but saying she would hypothetically do a thing doesn't generally rise to the level of any actual crimes. She separately said she drugged and robbed men, not hypothetically, but since none of the victims have come forward, it's pretty difficult for anyone to actually press charges. Cardi B is a horrible person based on all this, but i…

What evidence is there that she raped anyone? She said she drugged Johns and then took their wallets, not raped anyone. If you have other evidence or know of a different event, please let me know.

Because when you are comparing two different things, it means there's no longer a double standard. It's like saying why was that man arrested for drunk driving when a woman got let off for excessive speed. And the answer is "Those are different circumstances" as opposed to "this is clearly showing a gender bias in the justice system". That's not to say there isn't a gender bias in the justice system, there absolutely is, but this is just a really poor example, especially since the main reason Ca…

Saying two crimes are of different magnitudes isn't justifying one. The meme draws a parallel between Cardio B and Cosby because they both drugged their victims, but the outrage at Cosby was not because he was drugging people, but because he was raping people. What Cardi B said she did was bad. What Cosby did was worse. Stephen Port also drugged his victims, but again, he raped and murdered them, which I think we can all agree is worse than what Cosby or Cardi did. And the practical issue is tha…

Yeah this shit meme leaves out that Cosby raped the women he drugged. It tries to make the two things they did equivalent by just focusing on the drugging, when the actual rapes are the much more heinous crime.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
