The movie is full of subtle mens rights points, Barbie even apologises for abandoning Ken at the end of the film. “Not every night should be girls night” Like of course its going to have a feminist lean, its a Barbie film, and Barbie has always been about womens rights. Are you complaining about women having rights or were you expecting the film, about Barbie, to be entirely about mens rights? Men and women can both have rights you know. Even the bit about Mattel is supposed to be ironic, Mattel…

Have you actually watched the film, or…?

Watch for the double standard.

True, and it's the same for misandry. That's the saddest thing about some radfems, they have lost the ability to say "not all men" because of their bad experiences with men. But it's still no different to hating on an entire race of people just because you've met some bad apples.

Because feminism and radical feminism are not the same thing.

I’d accept flowers or hugs, no stereotypical manly stuff. Probs not going to be a father anyway though.

I disagreed with the patriarchy. On a subreddit dedicated to making fun of TERFs no less. (/r/terfisafetish) Yep. I’m just as confused as you are. I wasn’t called misogynistic, but I was banned. For disagreeing with radical feminism. In a group which is apparently against a type of radical feminism.

Ask their opinion of a famous radical feminist or woman who is blatantly sexist.

In my experience, shunning people just tends to make their behaviour worse. It certainly wouldn’t convince me that I did something wrong. She’ll probably make some delusional assumption like “She convinced my boyfriend to leave me because she was with having sex with him this whole time” and use that as an excuse to hate men even more. Then she’ll just go find another hateful friend to replace her.

I agree with encouraging the men to leave. But I can’t see any good coming from isolating women with opinions like this. These women have likely had bad experiences with men, which doesn’t make their behaviour acceptable, but are they beyond salvation? I’m not so sure.

Man: shows any amount of preference towards a woman that he would literally never give to another man RadFems: “OPPRESSION BY THE PATRIARCHY”

It can be easy to ask questions like this, but how is she supposed to play a part in encouraging a change in their behaviour if she leaves them?

Men are literally the least privileged of all groups. Sexism against men is just 100% acceptable these days.

Roma Army is pretty good. She's a female MRA which is always cool to see.

Let’s not make this about trans men, but trans women. They are the ones losing out on this solely because they were born male.

Expecting a 10/10 in any area of life can come off as being arrogant or foolish. A man who is unfit and doesn’t take care of himself and wants only women who are very beautiful, is called an “incel”. A woman who has no money and is expecting only rich men is called a gold digger. Perhaps the bias against women is because the only women who care that much about money in the first place are those who don’t have it! Whilst most men like beautiful women, regardless of how attractive said man is. Thi…

Feminism is valid. It’s just the ones who pull down and ignore the validity of mens rights that are the problem. The only part of feminism I have trouble believing is the idea that the west is still patriarchal.

I wouldn’t call them demons, but they are definitely living in ignorance.

True, even men can pull down mens rights and have done multiple times in history.

I’m not denying that some feminist groups do this. But it can’t all be explained through “the patriarchy” it just can’t. Some of it is women, and some of them are feminists.

Fear of appearing weak/innocent/submissive/feminine/interested in children because both women and men might accuse you of being a pedophile/rapist. Whilst simultaneously being accused of being toxically masculine by women for not doing these things. Edit: I’ve been downvoted but this is based on my actual experiences. So… are we going to invalidate mens experiences on a mens rights group? Or was it a stray terf who downvoted me?

To be fair, some of these are interesting points. But a lot of them seem kind of small points, or even just assumed sexism.

Sure, knowing who is to blame is part of fixing the problem, but who is actually to blame, is not the point. Mens or womens rights is not about who is to blame. Even if a woman in power behaved in a way that inhibited the rights of women. It’s still a women’s rights issue. Same for men in power and mens rights. There needs to be a cultural change where rights aren’t treated like a blame game.

I’ve just been let down by the “terfisafetish” community for basically not subscribing to one aspect of feminist ideology (yeah, I’m confused too), coming here and seeing this has been a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
