The internet is great about amplifying the shittiest takes. Yes, women should have to pay child support if they are not involved in raising their children. Trash humans come in both the male and female variety.

My advice is the same for my sons and daughter. only date casually until you are out of college and well established in your career path. Only get serious if you partner shares your life goals. When you do get married, focus on your spouse and assets for at least a few years before having children. Kids can wait till you are in your 30's and they will benefit more from your maturity and established finances. I'll also talk to them regularly about what a healthy relationship is and isn't. Hopeful…

As a woman, I would 100% use an artificial womb. Pregnancy and birth are extremely dangerous.

I did once and it was a huge mistake. He was really super creepy about me having a young daughter and I ended up blocking his number after talking to him for about 30 minutes. Never again.

I feel the same way about her that I feel about people who take the opposite path.... the 18yo who got married right out of high-school and discovered that the married life is not what she really wanted. ..... They will figure it out. When people complain about sleeping in the bed they made, I take it as them needing to vent more than looking for advice. They will either figure it out or they won't. If it really bothers you then spend less time with that person.

Defenitly keep an eye out for that. My godson's pediatrician told his parents to pull it back to clean it and he had repeated infections because of that. I told them to get a different doctor and the new doctor knows better. He hasn't had an infection since they stopped pulling it back.

Blue pill doesn't really view anyone as a problem, just that both men and women are incredibly diverse and the red pill is a horrible way to see the world and approach relationships.

If he plans to sleep around, then he has no intention of being traditional and making a strong family with you. You can't be both traditional and unfaithful, he is lying to you about his level of commitment. Leave him before you are knocked up and it's harder to do.

I'm a woman in my early 30s and found love when I was 30yo. Dating honestly is a lot easier because men our age are more mature and the age gap is less of a deal breaker so you'll meet men in their 30's and 40's who probably have similar life goals and hobbies. I've been watching this sub for a few months and honestly have not found anything posted here to be relevant to my situation. Women or men who focus on their partners "value" are not in healthy relationships. Focus instead on compatabilit…

Yeah. I'm in a pretty healthy relationship. We are both adults and delegate responsibility between us by communicating and then acting on what needs to be done. We don't fit into any of these pill ideologies. I came here mostly to observe. I don't think I could ever date one of these red pill dudes because, at a base level, they all seem more concerned with what a relationship SHOULD BE than what it actually is.

She probably just demi-sexual and knows her boundaries. She wants a relationship with you but doesn't want to go all the way till you commit. And you want a relationship but don't want to commit till she goes all the way. I hope she sees her value and starts giving her time to someone who will treat her the way she deserves.

I'm in this situation. My partner is retired and stays home with the kids while I work full time. We both do housework. He does the majority of day to day stuff (laundry and dishes) for obvious reasons, but I do the dishes and laundry a couple times a week when I see they need to be done and I usually do the vacuuming and dusting on my days off. I also do the majority of the shopping and cooking.

I thought the prenup only covers property that is acquired before the marriage. If I ever get married I plan on having a prenup to say that my family home stays in my family and my partner's house stays in his. He lost his house when his ex wife divorced him and it was super traumatic. he's still trying to pick up the pieces. I think it's a big reason why he doesn't want to get married again and I completely understand.

I don't really consider myself to be "a catch." Tbh, I'm not interested in being caught. I keep hearing my co-workers (males) tell me that I'm "a good woman" when I talk about my relationship with my partner. Stuff like working and throwing down on the bills and enjoying pleasuring my partner. I figure that stuff is kind of standard tho, idk why they emphasize how good I am for it. Is the bar that low? Lol.

I was in abusive relationships in my early 20's until I stopped dating @25yo. Got into therapy and stayed in it. Got right with myself and didn't settle for anyone that made me feel even remotely unsafe. Through the healing process I now know why I was always in abusive relationships and it started with my very first relationship. My dad. He taught me to accept abuse as love and that's what I accepted until I was able to see my own worth. He still hates me too.

I work in retail and I have to say that I am only ever told to smile by older men who usually are about to hit on me. I do my best to smile at everyone as I greet them. But if I am sitting and writing an email or speaking with a co-worker ..... don't tell me to smile just because you are staring at me past my forced happiness in greeting you coming through the door. I think that people are saying that as a reaction to the roe v wade ruling. Trying to point out the hippocracy in the bodily autonomy conversation. I don't think it serves any purpose other than to try to get guys to think about their own reproductive rights, but it misses the mark and is in poor taste. Also. I prefer to call it what it is. Single parent adoption. It's not an abortion. Abortion is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy. Once there is a living, breathing child in the picture, shirking your responsibility is called giving up your rights or a single parent adoption. And as long as it's equally available to both men and women, I'm all for it. The problem is that the state wants to put the responsibility of bringing up a child onto the parents, for obvious reasons. So I doubt this will ev…

Time to unplug from that sort of content for awhile. Maybe try something more neutral for a bit. I have definitely reminded some of my dude friends that they are strong men and good dad's when they come to me after a break up, but that happens way less often, mostly because I have less male friends by proxy. I think it is just as important to uplift men when they are feeling broken. I'm glad you brought it up. It's a good reminder for all humans in a world that tends to dismiss male feelings.

Where are you hearing this? The main stream and social media machine deliberately shows us content that upsets us to keep us engaged. I'm a woman and I don't say those thing and rarely ever hear anyone say them unless it's like a friend going through a breakup or something. If you are hearing things that upset you constantly, it might be a sing that it's time to get some space from what ever that source is.

Sex education for us was part of health science/PE. I remember our P.E. teacher spending a day talking about birth control/condoms and then spending a few days talking about why women shouldn't drink or smoke when they are pregnant. We were never told about consent or abuse or any type of contact besides PIV. All stuff I plan to teach my kids. I'm not sure what they are teaching in school now, but I know for sure we talk to the kids about consent, signs of abuse, and how to be safe with any sort…

I encourage you to challenge those assumptions. Women experiencing freedom of their sexuality is not them being encouraged to "slut it up." Women having access to sex education and reproductive services actually leads to less unplanned pregnancies. Abstinence only education has been linked to teenage pregnancy as well as mental health problems in both genders. Many factors lead to divorce. Either gender is just as likely to cheat. Divorce is caused by a lot of things, but female sexuality is not…

What do you mean then by "promiscuity and destruction of the family unit"? I think that could be interpreted a few different ways. Can you give specific examples?
/r/MensRights12/06/22 09:35 PM

There is no hierarchy at the working class level based on gender. The ruling class favor men or women in different situations where it is profitable to them. They place the burden of domestic work on women in order to make the lives of men more expendable. While you have expirienced the female perspective of this dynamic, and perhaps been traumatized by it. That does not make the expirience of the men any less traumatizing or valid. It does not mean that they have privilege or favor in society a…

In this moment we see and understand this, and maybe it will help others start to realize it through reading our interaction. OP, I'm glad you're here and you are watching and considering the issues discussed on this sub. I hope you are able to let go of the idea that "patriarchy" is the problem with society and you start to see that the problem is economic inequality and a governing system that seeks to abuse both men and women for profit ..... in the same way that you expect these men to not blame Femenism for their problems.
/r/MensRights12/06/22 08:56 PM
25

There is a lot to unpack here. If the patriarchy was so centered on benefitting men then why are men's lives so de-valued by that system? The economic system we live under is capitalism. The political system we live under is an oligarchy. Patriarchy only affects our political climate in as much as Christianity is highly favored by the elite. And Christianity is a patriarchal culture. So if Patriarchy is such a problem. Then why not go after Christianity and snuff it out at the root? Turning Patr…

Honestly I see a society that is steadily moving toward those things. Especially in terms of legislation. Honestly there was a huge amount of matriarchal cultures throughout history until you get into the age of feudalism/colonialism/capitalism. Really interesting stuff imo. But yeah. If you get into anyone justifying your suffering for ANY reason, it's obviously beyond their ability to empathize and communication is going to break down. Save your mental health and move on. I see from your other comments that you are a religious zealot who is intentionally blind to the real harm caused by MGM. I hope one day you allow yourself to see the harm being done and change your mind.
/r/MensRights12/06/22 06:13 PM

The belief that it isn't the same is part of a cultural de-valuation of men that makes me sick to see repeated on a men's rights forum. It is the same and literally serves the exact same purpose (to reduce sensitivity) and the belief that it isn't the same is a lie sold to us to justify the practice ...... a lie that is also used to sell FGM to certain cultures. Pot meet kettle.
/r/MensRights12/06/22 06:08 PM
8

Justifying what was done to you is a coping mechanism for trauma and I understand why you feel that way, but all boys are harmed by it. many suffer complications and all have reduced sexual sensitivity.(this is proven scientific fact) If it's a choice you would make for yourself. That's OK. I support your right to make that decision for yourself. I do not support anyone being able to make that decision for an infant.

It s a piece of skin that serves a biological purpose to protect the glans and also has a lot of nerve endings. You should go to r/intactivism and read up on the info they post there about how harmful it is. As far as religious freedom goes ..... religious freedom does not give a person the right to hurt an innocent human who cannot make decisions for themselves. People who convert to Judaism in adulthood go through the procedure, so why not let Jewish men choose it for themselves? Why take that…

While I support a lot of femenist causes like bodily autonomy and more representation in politics and the workspace, I have always felt kind off about the concept of "femenism" because of the implied focus on just women. Since I was a kid and people would ask me if I was a femenist, I would reply that "I'm a humanist" because ultimately I believe in furthering human rights. I really respect your breakdown of my communication errors here. But I still cannot wrap my head around how this has anything to do with men's rights unless it comes out that the father of the children was denied access to them through the courts. There's certainly a chance that that may have happened, because it has happened in the past, but there is no evidence of it so far and making assumptions does not make it a "data point". You are making assumptions about this poor girls situation, unless there is an article somewhere that mentions her father that I missed. Also. /r/MensRights12/06/22 01:57 AM

Idk. I know at least 2 situations where a man cheated on a woman and gave her an std while she was pregnant that affected the child. One ended in miscarriage and the other ended in the child being deaf and having severe learning disability. I'm not saying the women who hurt a fetus are innocent in what they do. I just think that blame could possibly go both ways and we need to be weary of what power we give the government in persecuting us.

I think certain people are just messed up in the head. You have to guard yourself. Not tell people personal info until you really get to know them and stuff like that. I think dating is really difficult across the board. I stayed single for 5 years and just had no luck in finding anyone I felt like I connected with. Guys test the waters to see about dating me as soon as they would meet me, but I just wasn't the one. Eventually I ended up dating someone who I was friends with for a few years already. I also hope you are able to get into some therapy to help process what you have been through. I know at this point you blame feminism for your struggles. Start looking for work elsewhere. When you find a place that values your skills and pays you right. Make sure you cite all of these issues in your resignation letter. Parental surrender laws also cover men. And if a man is caring for a child, they can petition the courts to collect child support from the absent mother, and she is required to pay it. I do understand that men are discriminated against in the courts. That is a very important issue. But men can absolutly surrender a baby under safe haven laws, or prevent a woman from surrendering a child, just as well as a woman can.

I think the way you worded it has gotten some people wondering your motives. Acknowledging that some feminists speak violence against men and then encouraging people to ignore that is ....... tone deaf. Like telling a victim of abuse to forgive their abuser ..... you don't do that shit.

Honestly I'm a feminist. But I prefer the term humanist because I realize that the term feminism has a negative connotation and lots of people who consider themselves to be feminists are just exclutionists of another flavor (terfs for example). I have learned a lot from this sub. There are posts that make me scratch my head or even cringe, but for the most part yall raise genuine concerns. Men are definitely misrepresented in terms of reproductive rights and family courts. I struggle with this f…

It's cool that you are captivated by current events and don't understand what got us here. It started in 2014 when the US backed a coup in Ukraine. That's what started the Civil War there and the US has been funding it in various ways. Not to mention that, plenty of experts have warned that NATO expansion would eventiallually provoke a response from Russia similar to what happened in Gorgia.

He overcomplicates simple concepts. He could easily say what he is trying to get at with 1/2 as many words and less obtuse metaphors. In the end it usually comes out like he is trying to make himself out to be deeper and smarter than you/the reader. Its entirely unnecessary. He is a psychology professor who puts himself in a position of being a political historian. He is NOT a political historian. He should stop doing talks like he is. If you want to know what the general consensus is on his "wo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
