I'm not going to claim I know exactly what it is. I'm sure it varies between regions and industries. But I would put my money on that it's (generally) closer to what you said, 5%, than it is to 30%. (In this day and age) Just wanted to make clear that it is a thing because some people seriously deny its existence in any way shape or form.

It may not be 30% and yes. Things have gotten better in most parts of the developed world in the last 20 years. But wage gaps absolutely exists. You don't really need to look far. I'm 6'0 and my wife is 5'0. Never had a problem cuddling or having sex. The largest difference in height isn't from the upper body, it's the legs. I can understand if a short girl want a tall partner. Reaching that top shelf is difficult for her. Asking strangers to help her reach things in supermarkets can be awkward and embarrassing.
