Oh I know its not, I think the person I was replying to has been misled or lied to about what GG was or believed. The wikipedia article is a joke and doesn't even mention Gamejournopro's or even the "Gamer's are Dead" articles. Its all easily debunkable lies but that article has been locked down by a couple of anti GG activists for close to a decade now. No one can edit it and its why the only revisions that have been made has actually removed information and gotten more biased.

Maybe you're used to people who didn't pay attention to it or weren't old enough to remember, but you don't get to rewrite history. That is the history. Do you want me to link archives of articles written by GG people from back then? The claim always was positive coverage... why do you think those articles are archived? https://archive.md/arb5P these are archives from around gamergate. I've now linked multiple things showing that what you claimed was wrong. From what you've said it sound like so…

In 2014, the ex-boyfriend of Zoe Quinn falsely claimed that Zoe had received a favorable review for her video game by sleeping with the reviewer. Incorrect that was not gamergate's claim. It was that she received positive coverage from a journalist she had an intimate relationship with without the journalist disclosing the relationship. There are three (one two three) articles written by the journo, there are the archives of those articles if you want them. So not sure why you think this one was…

There is a big trend lately of treating symptoms and doing nothing about causes. Fixing causes is hard and takes a long time to fix and everyone wants immediate results, so we get these stupid paper over the problem fixes that collapse in a heap fairly quickly and then do another half arsed fix while ignoring the causes forever.

I can't believe you just said that. Let's take a moment to let that sink in. Check out the Grievance Studies Hoax paper (https://areomagazine.com/2018/10/02/academic-grievance-studies-and-the-corruption-of-scholarship/), this was some academics that wanted to show the flawed process of many of these social "sciences" journals review process. Some of these Hoax papers were published and one was being considered for an award. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19tBy_fVlYIHTxxjuVMFxh4pqLHM_en18…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
