Not me, but years back I was out at lunch with a small group of friends, one of whom was an over-the-top feminist, and she got mad at a couple guys next to us and called them misogynistic…for talking about football. Their (I assume) girlfriends were talking about makeup or something, and she thought it was misogynistic that they were talking about “masculine” things together instead of engaging in conversation with their girlfriends.

The closest experience I have is when I was in college I had a female co-worker ask if she could come over to my apartment and make me breakfast one morning. I said that sounded good. She had a key to my apartment, and I woke up that morning to her getting in bed with me naked. I didn’t want anything sexual, so I just got up and got all the way dressed and we just pretended nothing happened. The next day we worked together she barely said a word to me and she tried to talk crap about me to other…

That reminds me of a video I recently saw on Facebook of a father playing with his kids and the majority of the comments were women bitching about how the house was dirty and he should clean it (it wasn’t even bad). You know if he was cleaning the house they would bitch that he wasn’t playing with his kids. No matter what, we can’t win and we’re the bad guy.

It’s not only “believe all women” but also “all men are lying” when they say they were falsely accused. I tried having a civil debate recently where I was telling the story of how a friend of mine got arrested as a result of a false accusation. There was eventually evidence which helped his case and he was released, but women in the comments were still like, “But how do you KNOW he wasn’t lying? I bet he was lying and the police covered it up.” And of course when the women do end up lying, they’…

And if you tell them, “Hey, men don’t feel like they belong in your party. What are you all going to do for them?” you get nothing but condescending “Aww, the poor white man’s feeling are hurt, it must be so hard being a white man!” comments. Fine, fuck it, keep pushing us away and then come election time act shocked that alienating half of voters didn’t work out for you.

I’m left-leaning too, but my god, I’m getting embarrassed to admit it these days with how batshit crazy so many of them have gotten since the election. They seem absolutely clueless to how many people they’re pushing away right now.

Both my sons are uncircumcised. Both times the nurses looked at us like we had two heads when we told them. We had a close call the second time around. They came to get our son and wheeled him out and said he was ready for the circumcision, and I was like “Um, no. We told you all several times we weren’t doing that.” Hell no, there’s no need for that.

I got a similar message on /rant and a permanent ban a few weeks back. It was an auto-bot message, but when I responded politely asking for clarification of my ban from a moderator, she was rude as hell and blocked me.

This is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but I once worked at an office job where men were expected to wear a shirt and tie to work every day, even in the dead of summer. Women were able to wear sleeveless blouses and short (within reason) skirts on those hot summer days. So while the men were hot and sweating in their long sleeve shirts and ties, women were able to actually dress comfortably for hot weather.

This article also says they’re doing “Good girl” in a mocking tone. This isn’t a boy-specific thing aside from the name of this nonsense.

As a gay man, I can say that I am pretty damn lucky. I’m in a happy marriage, and there’s zero drama or daily BS. I used to resent the fact that I was gay when I was younger. Now I’m so damn glad.

Honestly, I have a hard time going to the right too because, as a gay man, there are too many people on that side would gladly make my marriage invalid if they could. It’s weird being in this space where I feel I’m too liberal for the right, but too conservative for the left. I know in reality we see the worst of the worst on both sides when it comes to social media, but it’s still weird feeling like I’m not welcome on either side politically.

As a gay man, I hate it. We’re not the same, and quite frankly, I’m getting sick of being lumped in with them.

I’ve identified as a liberal my entire life, and while I’m definitely still left-leaning, a lot of people on the far left are pushing me further and further away. I feel like as a man, they hate me by default because I have a penis. I’ve engaged in what I thought was civil discourse, but the second there’s the slightest disagreement on something it’s “Oh, so you’re just another incel!” And whenever there’s an article on men’s mental health posted in left-leaning places, the comment section is fu…

Being a woman doesn't mean you're going to lie about being raped and ruin someone's life in the process, but it does mean you're much more likely to be.

She sounds like one of those people who sees a man minding his own business getting into his car ten cars down in a parking lot at night and runs to Reddit to complain about how the big, scary man made her feel unsafe after dark.

"Everything I say is met with victim shaming" You literally just suggested in another comment that my friend who got accused of rape and had his life ruined was lying about it.

You're really gonna sit there and pull the "they're lying" card? I could flip that around and ask if you've ever thought for one second that a woman could be lying about being sexually harassed, because they do lie about it all the time, but I can tell you're one of those "believe all women" kind who thinks that when men get abused, they're either lying about it or somehow deserve it. Oh, and by the way, I didn't think that they were lying about not being a rapist because there was literal evide…

And nearly every man has had a bad experience with a woman, ranging from physical abuse to mental abuse, the only difference is we get victim blamed, the law automatically takes the woman’s side no matter what, and if we speak up about it, we get further mocked by women. A friend of mine spent a night in jail because his ex-wife physically attacked him, and when the police arrived, he got arrested. He had torn clothes and scratch marks on his arms and face, while the ex-wife just had wild hair f…

I always laugh when I read stuff like this because I can tell you numerous occasions where I’ve been walking at night and a woman has walked towards me in the very middle of the sidewalk and refused to budge towards the other side so I can easily pass (remember that “sidewalk chicken” trend around 2020 when they refused to move out of the way of men on the sidewalk?). But then they’ll run to social media and act like they’re about to be slaughtered in a fucking horror movie because they saw a ma…

I don’t mean to be rude, but your post is condescending and contradictory. It isn’t one or the other, I have to do both? My guy, I tried for literally decades with God and Jesus and nothing happened. I stopped waiting for any God or Jesus to do anything and did it myself, and the second I stopped believing and walked away from anything to do with God, church, or religion, my life got so much better. I sincerely am not trying to be rude of dismissive, it’s just my story.

I was in the church for 20+ years. Spent much of that time desperately praying and begging Jesus to help me with the depression I was going through. Nothing happened. When I left the church and actually started doing things for myself, I got better and my life turned around in ways I once thought impossible. If Jesus works for you, that's great. But that doesn't work for everyone. And if he is real, he did absolutely nothing for me, despite years of begging and pleading and praying.

I do a lot of trail running in the woods. When a woman is heading towards me right in the middle of the path, it’s wild how often they’ll keep walking in the middle of a narrow path and make no attempt to move to one side or the other. If I’m running the same direction as a woman walking, I’ll make a loud “On your left!” and often times they’ll turn slightly, and again, just keep walking right in the middle of the path and make no attempt to move over, leaving little room for me to go around. So…

Honestly, Reddit has been by far the most supportive place for dads as far as social media goes. Part of the reason I quit using Instagram and Facebook is it was getting overrun by mom pages that were constantly putting down dads and making them out to be incompetent parents, even though apparently it’s ok for mom to spend hours a day using their kid for content and attention from strangers online.

I’ve basically quit social media since last fall. Most of these examples are pretty old, but I’ve never really vented about them before. The real world is definitely much more kind. All the bitter moms hang out on social media.

I’ve seen men mocked, insulted, and downvoted into oblivion on here for telling people how discouraging it is seeing the whole “men are garbage” thing literally everywhere. “Oh, it must be so hard being a man! Boo hoo!” Well, I mean, we’re actually telling you the things that are bothering and hurting us, and you choose to mock or dismiss us for it, so…

I’ve been reading a lot lately, and I swear almost every book I read at some point has a deadbeat dad, an abusive man, the controlling man. It’s like every author, even the men, feel the need to throw in a “bad man” even if it has nothing to do with the plot. I think I began to notice this when every damn book I read had an absent or deadbeat father at some point. I get enough dad bashing from parent pages, I don’t need that in the books I read too.
