I don't think you really get how doctors get educated. Peer to peer education isn't as common as Scrubs would have you believe. Residency and medical school are far and away the biggest forms of education, followed by CMEs. Medicine changes too fast for older doctors to be as useful as they could be with regards to actual treatment regimens and whatnot

Doubtful. Fraternities and sororities are not going anywhere anytime soon. I don't know of a single organization that's trying to dismantle them at my school, and it's considered to be very liberal
